Good for you! Sometimes doctors need to just treat the clinical symptoms and not rely on the lab so much. No parasites ever showed up in Christian's tests either, but Flagyl did the trick in about 48hrs It's vile, nasty-tasting stuff, but it works.

Ya know, the funny part is that it never tasted "nasty" to me.. The only thing I really noticed was that every time I drank milk it had a "funny" taste to it..

Oh - and I never got "deathly" sick to my stomach from it - as the doctor insisted in her snippy tone that I would.. Didn't have to use the phenagren at all - except with the very first dose "just to be safe".. I really think she was just PO'ed because I implied that the negative test results might not reveal that particular parasite and I wasn't going to immediately rush off to a specialist for tests that would cost me an arm and a leg..

This was my experience too. No funny taste, no stomach issues. Lots of other meds do MUCH worse to me.
