This might be the most visually stunning movie I've ever seen. Everything was so crisp. It helps that the scenery itself was gorgeous, but the cinematography was incredible... and it wasn't even Oscar nominated for that, which is a shame.
I really, really liked this movie. And it makes me wonder what it is about a movie that, even when you KNOW what's going to happen, it still shocks you and makes you hope that it all works out.
I saw the real Aron Ralston on Oprah, for crying out loud. So it's not like I should have had any fear that he was going to die. But after he freed himself, I was still holding my breath... hoping that he'd make it home.
That's what made this movie great, I think. I was so choked up when he was rescued. Can you imagine being one of the people who found him?? Wow.
I loved the early scene with him and the two girls where they fall down into the water. It made me claustrophobic and intrigued at the same time.
Seriously. Awesome movie
