I envy your choices, C.Ann. I know you'll miss your family but your sister's plan sounds great. I'd go to Fla right now myself if I could.

If you stay up to the lake for another month, you'll mostly be without them anyway..I'd start packing, and get on the road this week!
Loved visiting CA, Hawaii was breathtaking, and ending up at the Adirondacks was perfect. The best place though, to be, is back home LOL, so I can understand your hesitation. But since you will have to move soon from your home, a warm place and your being with your sister sounds great. I'm never thrilled with a single women traveling all that distance (or a single anyone), but better to do it while the weather is more predictable, IMO, than when you could be caught in a snowstorm.C.Ann said:--------------------------------------

C.Ann said:I have a friend in Texas whose DH died a number of years ago.. Her adult sons had moved out of the house and she was living alone.. She has worked for the Post Office for umpteen years and has an obscene amount of vacation time each year.. After her DH passed away she decided to make it her life's goal to visit every state in the United States - alone..

She thought she could trust everyone, and found out that as a single lady traveling, she should have been extra careful. So, I'm just saying be careful, if you do go by yourself..and file an itinerary each morning, with someone, so if something does happen, whoever you are suppposed to check in with, will be aware of where you are.
