120 minute wait for IASW

We were there yesterday in the morning. Went on 3 times with at most 5-10 minute wait. The problem is everyone wants to see it at night with the lights or they flood it after the parade. Just go in the morning. It's really not worth 2 hours just to see it at night.

I think I would ride in the morning, and just go back for the lights at night. I don't need to stand in line for 2 hours to enjoy the lights!

One of my favorite things used to be entering the IASW line about 20 minutes before the night showing of the Christmas parade. It was awesome to just be in that area with the lights on with the parade going down the street. And since most were out watching the parade, the line wasn't nearly as crazy as it would be right after the parade ended. Not having a night parade has probably changed up those dynamics quite a bit. So instead of having a lull then an onslaught, it probably just stays constantly busy.

Never. When that line jumps to across the walkway, it's insanity. That ride is a walk on for me, no matter what.
When it's lit up for Christmas at night, it's the most beautiful thing. No need to ride though, just enjoy the outside.
If I see people spilled out past the ramp, I don't ride. I know that ride like the back of my hand and it's not a must do for me. I love it, but won't wait for it.

The same thing happened in WDW when everything was added to the FP+ system. Walk ons became intolerable waits without a FP.

The combination of a wildly popular overlay and the addition of FP makes for the perfect storm. I'm all for more MaxPass rides in DLR as there are far too few right now. We are currently Premier Passholders and MaxPass is included (yes I'm spoiled), but there is a price to pay resort wide beyond the fee for the service.
