12 years already??

DS is 12 yrs. old today.
What happened to that 8lb 4 oz little bundle?
Or the toddling terror who always had a bump on his head from his tumbles?
The 3 yr old who would sing..."Do you love me?" (Check Yes or NO by George Strait)?
The kindergartener who forgot something at school every other day?
The elementary school student who started a poetry club, played soccer, football, baseball, basketball?


The kid who first reached my knee....then my thigh... my hip....then my waist.....then my shoulder....now bends down a bit when he hugs me?
This is the kid who broke his arm last month. We were miles apart when it happened. It was such a bad break that he required a morphine drip for pain. He never shed a tear through the entire ordeal. He handled the entire situation with a maturity that I hadn't realized he'd aquired. Just another confirmation of the young man he is changing in to.

He's growing up and it's a wonderful wild ride. I love who he was....who he is......and I can't wait to see who he will become.

You got a tear from me! DS is now 10 years old and just started 5th grade on Wednesday. It seems like he was just at the far end of the school building in kindergarten. He got all the way to the other end of the building in 4th grade last year. Now he's in the "big building"...5th through 8th grades.

I miss the baby and toddler!
