I learned my lesson at MGM and decided to tell the troops we needed to be out the door by 8am again. In reality I really just wanted to leave by 8:20-30. They did good and got out the door by quarter after. We headed to Epcot. As soon as we came in dad was amazed by the legacy tiles. I was getting alittle impatient. Didn't he know we had a schedule to keep-- and this wasn't part of it!?! Anyhow-- there were characters out in front of the big fountain. We took the kids over to get pictures and autographs. Mom went to find a bathroom (again). Once the characters began to board the bus-- I took the group on a "speed" walk (well I was speed walking-- they were 150 yards behind me). I decided to have DH continue the group onwards to TT-- and I went to get FP's for Mission Space. I did that and found that they were ALMOST to Test Track. The stand-by wait time was only going to be 10 minutes. So we grabbed a baby swap pass for sis&Bil-- DH decided to go w/ them (since 3 can use the pass) and the rest of us got in line. We were just exiting the "prep room" when they announced technical difficulties. I guess it had rained very briefly and the track was damp (that's what they CM told us). Anyhow, about 10 minutes later we were loaded and on the go. Mom-- was clenching her eyes shut and screaming to "make it stop"-- we weren't even on the final portion of the run yet. I was laughing and yelling w/ DS--- This is my all time favorite ride. Afterwards, mom decided it wasn't so bad, but she wouldn't be doing it again. Once everyone rode TT-- we headed for Mission Space. Sis and I were going to stay w/ the baby-- we both get motion sick on certain rides-- so we weren't going to chance it. Not 5 minutes later dad and my uncle come walking up. They chickened out. No spinning for them they said. I was really suprised that my mom and 5 yr old cuz's DD did it. They both LOVED it!!
After this we all split up again. I figured this gave everyone some time to really explore innovations on their own. DH and I were alone again, DS had gone w/ my parents. So we made our way to a bakery and had butterfinger cheesecake. (so divine!!!) Then we went on The Land ride. We also did Ice Station Cool-- and I got DH w/ the Beverly. The CM behind me was laughing at my little spiel about how good I heard it was-- he poured a big glass and took a big drink. I was laughing so hard-- my belly was hurting.
We all met up again for our PS at the San Angel Inn. I love the atmosphere in this place. Along w/ the food and margaritas
. Lunch was a long ordeal. We were there for about and hour and a half. Alittle longer than I would of liked. We all decided to go back over to TT and mission space. The standby times for both rides was 10 minutes (I couldn;t believe it). So we did those-- yep right after we ate!!
We then split up again to do the World Showcase. I needed to plan little breaks to help keep DH's sanity. We would all gather every 3rd country and then move on. We sampled a lot of good food at the food and wine festival. DS even ordered Frog Leg Chowder. This is the same kid that won't touch "jelly or melted cheese". He ate all the "meat" and shocked me. I had creme brulee-- and was really disappointed. There was no taste to it. DH had some kiebalsa and several different wines. My mom, aunt and cuz decided to challenge themselves to the beer drinking in the UK. Something about drinking the yard of beer in under 6 minutes and it's free (?). All's I know is that my aunt got 4 free beers, mom and cuz each got 2. A record to be proud of (I'm suprised they remember Illuminations). Sis's group and Dh, Ds & I decided to leave early. The mosquito's were still biting-- in spite of 2 applications of bug spray. We were pretty much beat and wanted to go to bed. On the way out-- I found the energy to stop in Italy for plenty of Cannoli's!!!! It seemed like a long walk home. We began passing by a lot of "ditched" wheelchairs in the parking lot. Sis decided to jump in one-- BIL pushed her while she held onto the stroller. I was cracking up-- I needed the second wind-- and I got it. It made for some really funny pictures. It only lasted for a few feet then they put it back where they found it. I've never understood all the ditched strollers and wheelchairs in the parking lot-- is it that hard to return them???
Anyway-- back to they house. DH and BIL decided to make more Hurricane's the next day was an "off" day afterall. So we played around in the pool and pretended it was "5 o'clock somewhere". We were all in bed by 11pm-- and mom and dad still weren't back. I guess they had stopped over at my aunts villa and stayed there for awhile. To bed w/ sweet dreams for my weary feet
