Day 1-- Thursday 10/30

Cast:
Me & DH (28)-- We planned every detail of the entire trip
DS (10)

Mom, Dad, Sis, BIL, Dneice (17mo), Aunt, Uncle, Cuz, & Cuz DD (5)-- all 9 of them NEWBIES

We have been planning this 8 day trip for 10 months--- I was excited and nervous. I wasn't sure how a trip for 12 very different people would go. Well, there were some small fights, but we came home, and we are all still talking:D . So, I guess it went pretty well. The pressure was really on me to give them "the trip of a lifetime, filled to the brim w/ pixie dust". I had sent them detailed monthly newsletters w/ trip updates-- I wanted them to be armed w/ all the knowledge of the DIS.

We arrived at MCO almost 20 minutes ahead of schedule. We were greeted by the wonderful sunshine and heat. We had rented to villas. A 5 bedroom in Hampton Lakes and a 3 bedroom in Emerald Island. We all ooohed and ahhhed over the villas, then began coin flipping for rooms. (There was one really lush master suite and we all wanted it!!):D DSis won it-- which was okay I guess. Anyhow-- we all spent a wonderful afternoon sipping hurricane's by the pool (this is what we had all been waiting for).

For dinner that night we had a 5pm PS at Chef Mickey's. We arrived nearly 30 minutes early and had our family picture taken. Which we bought, I can't resist!! Almost immediately after that we were seated and began napkin twirling. The faces on my family told a tale of a 1000 words. Between the napkin twirling, the characters, and the castle view the were already submerged in the magic. We saw Minnie, Mickey, Chip, Dale, Goofy, Donald, and Stitch that night. My neice was totally terrified of each character. However, each one would try in soooo hard to win her little heart. They were really great! Dinner was incredible ( personally I loved the green beans) and the desserts were out of this world.

After dinner we headed for Downtown Disney. My thoughts and hopes were to get them shopping now. This was in hopes of cutting down on souvineer shopping while in the parks. It took nearly 2 hours to wrangle everyone out of the World of Disney store. They didn't make it any further. By this time everyone was pretty tired and were ready to call it a night. We had been up since 4 am-- to catch our flight. The next day we were doing MNSSHP and everyone was pretty excited.
