Hi all,
Please bear with me, as i'm very new here :wave2:
After 12 years, i'm finally going back to disney, this time taking my first timer gf, and her 2 sons........sept 19th cant come soon enough :cool1:

Just a couple of questions.......to start with ;)

we've booked with TCD, and as there is 7 of us in all, 5 adults 2 teenage boys, we opted for an 8 seater van........would a 7 seater be better??
also, i've heard about joining dollar to beat the long queues??? can i join that now??

lastly, we're taking my dad, who always wanted fish n chips and a pint at the rose in crown in epcot, and the 3 times i've been before its always been too busy!! after reading about adr's, i am guessing i can book an adr for this even though am staying off site in i drive?

many thanks

Hi and :welcome: to the DIS - you've found the right place to be in regards to all things Disney! :thumbsup2

Now, lets see what I can think of for you about your questions...

I think you've made the right choice with the 8 seater van, you'll need room for the suitcases! The extra place in the van should help along towards this.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'dollar', as I've never heard of it. So I can't help you on that one, sorry.

The R&C question, yes, you can still book ADR's even though you are staying outside of a Disney resort hotel. You can make them 180 days out from your departure date. When you call you can give them the details of the places you want to eat (make sure you have times and dates in mind before you ring to book) and the CM's will then help out to accomodate your Dining Reservations as best they can. You'll probably be best to book the R&C for you Father, just so you know you'll definately be able to get in there to eat. There are lots of other dining you may consider also, like the character breakfast and lunches, they're lots of fun!

Hope that helped a little, any more questions just throw them at us and we'll do our best to help!

Congrats on your return to WDW, I'm sure you'll all have a blast! :goodvibes

the only problem,i would have, with an 8 seater or even a 7 seater, would be the luggage space,i would say it would be a tight squeeze.
also my personal opinion is that,it would be better to book 2 separate cars.that way,you are not all tied to each other,if a couple of people, want abit of time out.this worked great for us,we all love our families, but i sure appreciated a couple of hours away, with my hubby,i thought it helped the fortnight go,without a hitch:thumbsup2
just my opinion

thanx for your reply, will now figure out 180 days before lift off :thumbsup2

I meant dollar car rental, sorry for being a little vague.

on the fish and chips front, would say go to raglen road at downtown disney. There beter than those at the rose and crown which have got worse over the years
They also do a takeaway from dublins as well

hi,
yes, i do agree with you, and the last time i went we did have 2 cars, but now my father is getting on a bit, and no one will willingly get into any kind of vehicle with him :confused3 and no one else who can drive, its up to me to endure 6 other backseat drivers :crazy2:
Thanx :)

You can also get fish & chips at the CS at Rose & Crown, eat them at the seating area outside, then go inside for that pint, or 2.
