12 days to decide (before TP request email is sent) on a room and I'm stumped!!

Yes, from what I've seen and read, the preferred locations are completely refurbished, and most of The Paddock is finished, too. I'm hoping for The Paddock when we arrive on 1/9. The ability to walk to DS has won me over... just wish the boats were running.

I'm leaning towards SSR. We went in August and stayed at Riviera and since there were no park hoppers to eat at Epcot like we normally do we Ubered to Disney Springs three of the nights. I found the restaurants in DS to be better than the Epcot restaurants and the atmosphere a lot more lively.

I'm looking at the yacht club and SSR, but with the Boardwalk area being so dead and Epcot closing at 7. I'm leaning SSR. I'm not sure how the bus situation is going to be, but I can get a one-bedroom preferred at SSR for the same price as a garden view room at Epcot...that's a pretty good trade-off. I just have to get up a little earlier to catch the bus.

Are you sure the boats aren't running? I swear I read on one of my searches they started running back in October.
