12 days at bwv, LIVE! You name it, we’re probably doing it. *DAY 8 with PICS p7#100*

Thanks for a wonderful report! Felt like we were right there with you ... which is a great cure for those of us suffering from WDW Withdraw:goodvibes

I can totally understand your disappointment with all the scaffolding that is up around the BW. I hope they take some of it down while you are there so you can enjoy the view!

Love :lovestruc the photos of the refurbished room. Never too many photos of WDW for me. What view do you have from your room. I know I read you have a BW view but would love to see a photo. Also, it looks like you have a dedicated 1-BDR ... as I didn't see a door to the studio.

Have a magical day!:wizard:

Oh, I'm so glad you're enjoying it. :goodvibes

We are in a dedicated (no studio door) 1 bed preferred view room for two nights. It is much bigger than any of the 1 beds I've stayed in at BWV. Then we move to a 2-bed bw view room. I did take some shots of our view in this room- I'll post them tonight. We look over the canal to HS, with the dolphin & swan right in front of us. :cloud9:

Off to MK! :cool1:

you're making me want to visit this time of year to take in the festival!! lovin' the pics! are you using your SLR?

Hope you are off enjoying MK!

I'm anxious to see what your view will be from the two-bedroom BW view. It looks, from the photos that you posted of the scaffolding, that our favorite BW view villas have already been completed ... or maybe they haven't started that area yet:confused3

Keep those postings coming MissMet! I know I am really enjoying the magic:wizard:

OMG that scaffolding on the BWV is horrific!!! I understand that places have to get spruced up a bit here and there, but c'mon! I seriously hope that's done with by December---but I have a sneaking suspicion that it won't be. :headache: I guess getting a refurbed room (which look great by the way!!!) is a little consolation prize. ;)

Looks like you guys are having a great time so far, can't wait to hear/see more!

Great update! It's a good read while I'm having lunch at work. OMG that hot dog looks delish. I'm hoping for a refurbished room on our trip too! Of course, isn't everyone?!? DH will be excited about the TV's.

I am so excited and hyped now to visit in December 2010 after seeing pics of the rehabs at BWV!! I love the color of the rooms, the sofa is SO much better than the old ones (it IS a new sofa, correct?) and I love the flat screen tv's. I miss the old armoires but it looks like more space in the rooms now. I can't wait to see the view you have now and the boardwalk view in a couple of days. Darn I wish I had stowed away in your suitcase!! ;):rotfl2:

I would have fainted if I had turned the corner after coming down from the lobby and saw the scaffolding :scared1: But hopefully they will have it all torn down by the time your boardwalk view room is ready.

Love the pics of the food - we've always wanted to visit during F&W Festival. I would love to go in early October sometime - I loved seeing all the Christmas decorations in December last year and that is why we chose to go again 11/28-12/4/2010. Now maybe I'll have to rethink our plan and hit F&WF. :confused3

Excellent report so far! Staying at BWV myself in February as an "Adult" only trip (because really do you ever act your age in WDW?), so very excited to see your pictures from there (even if they are of construction area :sad2:)

Just wondering what type of room you're in. Looked like a 1 Bedroom but don't want to assume since I've never actually stayed at BWI Let alone the Villas there

Really enjoying your trip so far:thumbsup2. Can't wait for to see and hear more. I love BW DH and I stayed there for our honeymoon. We also love the BC your dad would enjoy staying there. Have a great day:flower3:

Your trip report is a blast to read!!! Love the pics so far (and keep the smilies.. they are so cute :goodvibes )

We'll be headed to BWV in May with a BW view :woohoo:. Can't wait to see those pics! Hope they get that scaffolding down before your trip is over!!!

Hey guys. I'm back at the room for a little bit so the bionic woman (mom) can take a little rest. So I thought I'd come on over.

you're making me want to visit this time of year to take in the festival!! lovin' the pics! are you using your SLR?

This time of the year is my favorite! I love f&w.

No, I haven't been using the slr yet. Beginning tomorrow I'll have it, but these last two days have been way too hot to be carrying it around all day.

Hope you are off enjoying MK!

They've been doing the remodeling by floors. the top two floors are done, it appears. The lobby's floor (2nd) is not done yet. I don't know about the other floors though.

Yeah, turning that corner & seeing that scaffolding was pretty painful! :headache: I think it will be down by Dec. They're just painting, all the repair work appears to be done & I think that section was the last section.

That hot dog was great! I think you'll get a refurbed room. Because we are only in this room two nights we didn't even bother with requests & received a refurbed room.

Yes, the sofa is new. I hear you about loving wdw at christmas time too. I wish F&WF & christmas overlapped. That would be perfect!

Right now I'm in a dedicated 1 bed (no connecting studio to make it a possible 2-bed), preferred view room. Tomorrow we move to a 2-bed, bw view. :cloud9:

I'm in. And totally appreciate the adult trip report. No offense to those with kids, but it is totally a different experience.

Hope you are having fun!
103 days until I will be at the Boardwalk Villas!

Here are some of my random pics that I took yesterday. All of the pics from yesterday & today were with my point-and-shoot camera. The big boy (dslr) comes out to play tomorrow during the 87 degree "cold front".

Our view from the balcony in this room, we get our BW view tomorrow! :yay:

The adorable carpet in the hallways at BWV.

This is an adorable squirrel at Epcot that I think was trying to dig to china. Someone should have told the little guy he could have just walked two countries over & been there. ;) He was fun to watch... who needs rides, get me a squirrel.

What my mom & I looked like after a day in that heat & humidity. Not our best pics ever.

There's no place like home! I always feel like I am home when I see that sign!!

Thanks for the photos. The one of the squirrel really made me laugh:laughing:

Will be at the Boardwalk Thursday for a quick food and wine weekend.

I have to admit that I'm a little bummed about the amount of scaffolding, but I'm glad I got to see it before I get there. Take a little of the sting away.

Thanks so much for including pictures of the BWV's renovated rooms. DH has been driving me nuts to find some, cant wait to see the 2 bedrooms!:goodvibes

I just realized that I never updated my counter. A waitlist came through about a month ago and we ended up getting the Boardwalk.

Thanks for all the BWV pics! We're heading to BWV (our first trip home) at the end of October!

The lobster and scallop pie looks awesome. Something I’ll think we’ll add to our list of must tries.

So glad you made it to Disney ok! Sounds like you're having a wonderful time. The food looks amazing, and love the picture of the carpeting! I didn't know they had Goofy's shoes in there :goodvibes

Day 1, part 1

Hello again everyone. I’m back after a full day here at WDW.

Well, today we had a little bit of a late start. We arrived at the bus stop for MK at 9:15am. We had an awesome bus driver.

We ended up getting to MK at 9:45am. MK was empty! Today there was a MNSSHP, so the park closed at 7pm. I’m sure that’s why it was so empty. We stopped for a pic & had the best photopass photographer ever. He was hysterical. Can’t wait to get the CD to show you guys.

We did our family tradition of heading to the left. On our walk we saw this women walk past us & as long as she was in our sights she was carrying her stroller like this.

We felt someone should of probably told her that they seem to work better when you place them on the ground & push. I have no clue why she was carrying it- the wheels were not broken. Weird. We got to POC & it was closed at 10am. :confused3 I mean roped off with 5 CMs standing there. We asked what was up & they said they were having technical difficulties & to check back later. We continued toward BTMRR. On the way we noticed this sign at Peco’s Bills. Thought it was interesting.

We passed Splash without much interest. That drop freaks me out & I cannot get myself to go on. :scared1: We made it to BTMRR & it was also roped off with 5 CMs in front. It was also closed due to technical difficulties. :confused3 We thought that was pretty weird. So we got fastpasses for it and continued on.

We went over to Liberty Square & had some popcorn. I’m not a popcorn fan but Disney’s popcorn is amazing! Love it. After our popcorn we did a little window shopping in the Christmas store across from the hall of presidents. After our window shopping we headed over to hall of presidents to check it out since the rehab. I really like how they made it just about the presidents and focused on quite a few of them. It was nice. Next we headed over to HM. Love that ride! Now it was time to head back to BTMRR. The wait was only 5 minutes, at 11:30am, so the CM told us not to waste our FPs & use them later. We got the second to last row, which was great ‘cause the back is always the best. My mom didn’t remember it, so she was hysterical. We had our whole “car” hysterical. She’s not a ride screamer, she’s like a scream-talker on rides. It’s very funny. At the end of the ride the man in front of us turned around, looked at me & said, “You’ve got to get her on Expedition Everest!” :rotfl: I plan to! Next we headed to Fantasyland. Can I just tell you how empty MK was... every ride had a wait time of 5 minutes, except Peter’s Pans, which was only 30 minutes at 12pm. We rode small world next. That is always fun for me, as it was my childhood favorite. It wasn’t too enjoyable for my mom however. The man in front of her had unbearable breath. Every time he spoke the smell would go back to my mom. I would get a whiff every once in a while & let me tell you, I think he had a rotted tooth or something. It was unbelievable. I was hysterical the whole ride watching my mom try to keep her composure. :lmao: It was hysterical for me, but near painful for her. Here’s how she rode the entire time.

After small world, we sat on a bench for a little bit to try & cool off. Didn’t work too well, so we decided to head over to tomorrowland & ride the newly refurbed TTA. The lights were on in SM, but they closed off most of the visible areas.
