Oh LORD...I don't know exactly. At least World of Warcraft with me, he's played the other Warcraft titles, Starcraft, Diablo, I think Counter Strike? Doom? Duke Nukem?
He says "mostly first person shooters and real time strategy" games.
He's bringing his Nintendo DS with him for when we're relaxing by the pool and I have a book.
I play World of Warcraft partly because it's a social thing and partly to play with him, and grew up playing the Sim/Maxis games (the Sims came around later, I'm not a huge fan). We've played World of Warcraft with some of the same people for over three years...some of them we've met at Disney, even, when they came down for vacation or conferences. One of the girls we play with is a Cast Member, even!
And I am BOUNCING off the walls - people keep coming up to me and saying they're sorry about my job, but I'm all smiles! I did get a call from a headhunter, so that's positive.
Haircuts tomorrow, DH made me keep my manicure and pedicure appts on Thursday. We have one last time at the gym tonight, I'm making sure the fridge is cleaned out enough. Printing out my charts Thursday. Filling up the MP3 player with good music. Passports are in the front pocket of my roll-on. I'm terrified we're going to show up and something will be wrong with them.
Sounds like you're all set, Joy! So organized!
Mine like Halo and the Star Wars games (Republic or something like) ... and my husband also plays first person thug-type games like Grand Theft Auto and some others that I forget right now. My son loves Nintendo but it's all about Pokemon and Kirby and stuff. His surprise goodie bag will have a Club Penguin game in it -- I am hoping he will be surprised.
I have no time for a pedicure so I will have to slap some nail polish on myself... bonus is that I can use that money toward another spa treatment on the ship!
Oh, did I mention I sold $300 of my scrap supplies at a garage sale last weekend, and we just found out our property tax was reassessed due to declining market values so there is another $500! Whheeeeee...
Now, speaking of extra money....My husband's family is on the verge of cancelling Christmas gifts this year. Everyone is broke. I am all for that -- we can give everyone trinkets from vacation but I do not want anyone spending money they don't have to give me something I probably won't use. (They are generally terrible shoppers for us... not to sound ungrateful, but we tend to buy what we want and we're very hard to shop for, outside of gift cards). I told my mother-in-law that we should just ditch the gifts, do a potluck and hang out together. I feel bad that we "appear" as though we have all this money with going on the cruise, and I have been very busy with photography (which would lead them to believe I'm making alot of money at it)... but like many of you have read... my job/industry is in precarious times and we're not blind to the potential loss and my side business is not without its own sacrifices (plus I spent alot of startup money on it this year)... BUT my in-laws have always been very poor money managers and they are always broke because they always spend beyond their means. Whew... sorry - didn't mean to go off on a tangent there!
