12/6/08 Eastern ~ ***CURRENT ROSTER pg 68, post # 1007!

14 Days!!!!!!That sorts out to be two 7 day "weeks" until we cruise!!!!! :dance3: :rolleyes1 :thumbsup2 :cool1:
Seems like someone should be just about ready to depart for WDW:yay: . What is going to be our FIRST party to "see Mickey?" Is it going to be a party from Canada, Hawaii or Alaska?
We don't leave until Friday, December 5, so it won't be us!
Have a Magical :wizard: Day. LDprincess:cheer2: :

We may go next Wednesday to check out the decorations at Epcot, but I'm not sure we count ;)

We'll also be at Epcot on the 30th to catch the John O'Hurley CP - I love him :lovestruc

We leave in 6 days! We are flying out Thanksgiving morning but don't expect to make the park until Friday the 28th. We are having TG dinner at the Wave at the contemporary. Has anyone been there?

We were originally going to get married on the cruise:bride: but we ran out of time to pay for it. (That is my nice way to say, we didn't have the cash when it was time to pay for it... :rotfl: ) It turned out to be a good thing. This also means my whole family is coming on my honeymoon. :lmao: Good thing we all get along!

I'm so glad I found you guys! I'm also having the same budget issues and I'm glad I'm not the only one on the budget plan. My new DH is in the mortgage industry. :scared: But I'm thrilled to have time away to relax, forget our troubles, and focus on each other and having a blast.

Our wedding pics are at whonware.com. And it they are not there my DH just bought thomasanderica.com. :lovestruc

See you soon!!!!

Cheshirechick!!! I just love your wedding website.

Thanks for sharing that with us. It is also nice to put a face to the dis name.

It is cold here today 18, colder with the windchill factor. I told Hannah on the way to schoo this morning that we leave for our trip in exactly 2 weeks. Not sure why my ticker says 15 days. Maybe that is when we get on the boat.

Christmas tree is going up this weekend too.

Okay, it's time to start stressing over packing and whatnot, lol...

Tomorrow I am taking my thousands of dollars worth of scrap supplies to a local scrapbook store's garage sale and trying to raise some extra vacation cash $$$$!

Anyone have any updates? Cabin upgrades? Plans?

I will make an update to the cruisers website this weekend so everyone can check over their information before I finalize and print the booklets.

I also wanted to tell you where we normally congregate in the terminal, so you can find me. The last 2 times, we have sat on the couches by the bathrooms... to the right as you come off the escalator toward the checkin area. My kids usually crash there and watch TV. That's my goal again this time so start off by looking for me there. Don't hold me to it, because I may move around based on how many people are there.... I will have the wristbands on. Not sure what I'm wearing yet on embarkation day but I will post it once I decide so you know to look for it. I will be the Chinese one next to the football-ish looking Caucasian dude with two obnoxiously hyperactive and beautiful kids :)

No upgrade here... :confused3 ... I wish. But... still going to try at port!

I cant believe the cruise leaves 2 weeks from tomorrow and we leave in a week and a half! I am definitely in need of this vacation. Lots of stress here! :headache:
I am going to wal-mart today to get some stuff on my list! I am going to try and get everything I need this weekend! Next week being Thanksgiving its going to be crazy then I only have 2 days! :woohoo: I want to be ready!

Okay, I think.... I've decided on a shore excursion for St. Thomas. If the weather is nice and my kids are not beached-out... we'll go to Coki Beach first thing and then hit Coral World when they open. Eat lunch there and then get a taxi to take us around the island, ending at the top of the Paradise Point tram. Ride the tram down and then shop at the Havensight mall and then head back to the ship. It looks as though the mall is within walking distance of the dock...

Whew.... okay... next?

13, going once; 13 going twice; SOLD 13 days until our cruise!!!!!!!!:surfweb:
Three more days before really getting stressed out about all the things that need to be done.
Weather here in Michigan is COLD COLD COLD COLD! Did you get it that it is cold and snowy here? Definitely makes a cruise and warm weather sound delicious........:cloud9:
Have a Magical Day:wizard: . LD:cheer2:

Dear Group: Here are two questions for anyone who can help. I just looked on the Disney Cruise Plans and NO Brunches and NO Teas are still the norm. If I want to try to get a brunch or tea where do I go on board on Sunday to see:magnify: if there are any reservations to be had? Also, where do I go to sign up for the Tea with Alice and the Mad Hatter?:goodvibes :drinking1
I have been going over old Personal Navigators and I haven't been able to see any of this information.
Thanks, DL princess:::MinnieMo (still freezing up here in Michigan!)Need :beach:

To try to get Palo brunch or tea, go to Rockin' Bar D as soon as you get onboard.

To sign up for Tea with Wendy Darling you should go to Guest Services. Same with any of the drink tastings and galley tour.

You will see the information about Palo on the sheet given to you at check in at the port. You'll want to confirm the location (once they had us go somewhere else).

Tracy

Thank you, Tracy:flower3: . I will do exactly what you have said. I am doing laundry:laundy: to start to pack for the cruise. Does that count as being "geeked" about the trip:banana: ? This forum has been the BEST thing to keep up the excitment!!!!!!
Thanks, again, LDprincess: (Escha)

Hi All! Getting close to packing time for us. I have 2 questions. Do we dock or tender at St. Thomas? Has anyone heard who we are having for entertainment onboard? Taylor Mason was on our 12/07 cruise & he was terrific!

We will dock at St. Thomas. Don't know about the entertainment though.

Cheshire Chick,
:yay: Looks like we depart our homes on the same day although it will take us two travel days to arrive at WDW. We will have an over night in Seattle (my former hometown). We aren't sure where we'll have TG dinner yet. Our first scheduled day in the parks is Saturday the 29th.

Congrats on the nuptials. :bride:

Can't wait until we all meet up on the 6th!!

12 Days!!!!!!Wow!!!!!:cool1: :rainbow:
I have come to the realization that no matter how much I plan, how much I pack and however much excitement I have someway, somehow I will forget something! Laundry is done:laundy: , some stuff is packed and I continue to add to the list.....is anyone else in a dither, as I am?
Like the commercial....I am sooooooo excited!!!!!!!

Is tea with Alice and the Mad Hatter something my 3 year old son would enjoy or should I pass on this event?

Hi gang - I just booked this cruise on Friday, and spent the last two mornings getting thru the last 50 pages of this thread. Your enthusiasm is really getting me pumped up. While I've been to WDW and on cruises before, I have never been on a Disney Cruise before, so I'm really excited. It's been helpful to read your posts, as I had virtually no idea what to expect! (e.g. Pirate Night? What's that?) I don't think I've ever booked a trip at the last minute before... where is a good place to get info about DCL - Cliff Notes style? ;)

I won't be able to bring DH or the kids with me, and I'll surely be missing them! My mom is able to accompany me, which will be nice. I just took her to WDW in September for Free Dining (her first real trip to WDW), so I was surprised she was interested in going with me back to Orlando so soon. This needs to be a low budget trip for me, so I will probably not do any excursions. Does anyone know if it's possible to rent a wheelchair for a day to take my mom into port? Otherwise, I think she will want to stay on the ship since it's hard for her to walk for too long. Also, I have never been to Port Canaveral and I plan to rent a car - is it possible to drop my mom at a convenient place at the pier and go deal with returning the car myself? I assume that the rental agencies have shuttles, but I would like to avoid her having to go up and down the stairs of the bus.

Joy - have you posted any photos on my thread on the photo board? (photos the average tourist may not take) Your photography is amazing, and I'm sure you have some great ones of the parks. There is a link in my signature.

Are there any extra bracelets?

I hope I get to meet some of you while on the trip. :)

Carol
