12/6/07...Anyone with us?

Cool!!!
Do you think Sarah will be mortified if I am running around DTD with a Darth Maul light saber? ;)

For those who are combining MVMCP with their cruise, is 4 pm the earliest you can enter (like MNSHHP)?

Jen, 4PM is the earliest I've ever heard anyone getting in.

The Fab Four have dinner at Whispering Canyon at 5P, so I'd say 6:30 is the earliest we'd be there (but more like 7, I'd bet). We have an afternoon nap on our schedule for that day!

Thanks, Jackie.
I expect to entertain the boys with swimming at SS that day, maybe a little saber-building at DD, and then head over to MK with them early so we can get our commando parking out of the way by the time y'all arrive and MVMCP begins!:santa: Are there still only 24 hours in a day at WDW, or have they found a way to extend it?:confused3 :rotfl:

I don't think they've changed the number of hours in a day yet, but the imagineers are probably working on it! :thumbsup2

We have our Segway tour that morning in Epcot, I'm sure we'll hang out there till after lunch and have nap/pool time written into the itinerary. (disclaimer: all plans subject to change in mood/attitude) :lmao:

Hmmmmm....wonder if I need to do more research on best counter service meal at Epcot? Wonder if Janice/Linda have a preference?

I'm calling Magical Express today, to get our aiport pick up set and also have to get our park hoppers ordered.

Hey, any of you folks have the Disney Visa and do you know if you buy park tickets THROUGH AAA...does that charge still qualify for 0% interest, OR do the tickets have to be purchased through Disney? We'd save a whopping $8 total buying through AAA, but I'd rather have that zero % for six months 'cushion' on my account. Maybe I'll go post a thread with that question.

.

What a way to celebrate. Sounds like you had fun! I have only known in my lifetime of my cousins going to Disneyland and that was back in the late 50's. I have never known anyone else. They were about 12 years old and went wen their family and they loved it. I'm sure many things have changed there just as they have at Disney World over the years. I haven't been to Disney World since 1987. I think Epcot had been opened a year and that was what we had wanted to see mostly. Glad you enjoyed yourself!

That Mango soup is great!!!!! Yummy!!!! Dee told me how delicous the Mango soup was and told me to try it while we were getting our first lunch onboard ship in Nov. I had to have it since I love Mango. She was so right about the that soup. I was glad she pointed it would or I may have gone right past it. Enough about food I'm trying to lose some weight, but it just keeps finding me all the time.

Dee I just started reading from the notes of last week. Imagine me finding your note when I had just been talking about you and your Disneyland trip. Remember I am here for you just as you were here for me back in 2002. You are family to me. Please don't forget that. I went through a scare back in 1994, but mine wasn't found via a mammagram. It was found through checking myself. It didn't turn out to be serious, but it did make me realize how life can kick you when you least expect it.
I am thinking of you and praying that all will be okay. We are all :grouphug:
here for you.

Jen,
I think 4 pm is a little opptumistic for getting in - but I guess u can keep your eye on the boards to see when people are REALLY getting in.

Pool time sounds good for Tuesday - plus a nap :woohoo: - as I would like to do my 'Resort Christmas Decoration Tour' on Wednesday- want to do the Magic Kingdom/Monorail Hotels - GF,Poly,Contemp then Wilderness Lodge....and then a LONG bus ride to see AKL.....these days sure are filling up popcorn:: .

Darth Maul?!!! I'll leave you like the proverbial Black-Knight-cum-Darth-Vader twisting on your stump, threatening to bite my knees off after I slay you with my superior "Good Guys Finish First" Luke Skywalker saber, you Dark Side enthusiast!:darth: :smickey:

okay, a little long and dramatic, but you get the idea. Darth Maul. Hmmph!

Sarah will have to go off on an epic journey to bring her mother back from the Dark Side.

Ahoy Fellow Cruisers!

Here's a question - do you prefer/plan on eating your Embarkation Lunch at BBB or Parrot Cay?

My first cruise on the Magic, I was on a Tropical Vacation and, coming down to FL in November, was determined to be outside every possible second, and so started off the trip at Topsiders. It was great - hey, let the vacation begin!

Then, in deference to DMom and DDad not wanting to suffer FL heat in August, we went to the air conditioned PC on our next cruise. That was very nice, a little less hectic, a little less noisy perhaps? I think I preferred that more and will probably try it again in Dec (but will succumb to peer pressure!). (that is a joke. I don't ever want to see that in a tag!):rolleyes1

I'm a little lost as to what to pack. Will the cruise be warmer than WDW that week? Do I still dress in "summer" style clothes, or more fall colors on the ship? Can someone come pack for me???:scared1:

I like PC for lunch......more relaxing, plenty of seating.....we can always go up on deck after we eat and before we get in the cabins - and the boys can wear their swim suits....

We are really not going very 'south' on this cruise and being on the water will mean it will be cooler.
We did the Western Caribbean cruise 12/3/05 and we DID go in the water on CC to swim with the stingrays but then we only dunked in one more time.
I don't think Sarah went in at all.

I am going to bring Capri's pants to wear at WDW plus a pair of shorts just in case but I don't think it is going to be HOT.......as I recall last year when we went to MSNBC, we only went in the hot tub one time!

Just checked weather averages......looks like low to mid 70's will be the high and 50's at night will be the low...so those late nights at MK will require a sweatshirt and long johns for me!!!

What Pat said. :thumbsup2

I'll actually have my Mickey scarf and gloves in my backpack for the nights I'm roaming WDW. At the very least, the scarf comes in handy for sitting on the cold ground when waiting for a parade.....or something.

Oh, and remember, because the tree on the ship will be up, you may want to have something kind of Christmasy to wear....in case you want to have holiday cards made! :santa:

Gotta call WDW and cancel my Plan B resort.......
