At LTT at MK I now have a $12.50 6" birthday cake on order with our dinner ADR. I was given no choices of flavors - our DD is not a chocolate person.

Has anyone ordered the 6" cake at LTT or maybe another MK restaurant (maybe they are all the same kind of cakes) ?

Are the 6" cakes any good ?

A bigger cake can be ordered and you do get to select the type - but the 6" cake fits our family and we will not be dragging a cake box around with us on rides at MK after LTT.

Thanks for your advice !

I don't know how old your daughter is, and she may be at an age where a 'proper' birthday cake is important. But I would just order the desserts off the menu. Maybe 2 or 3 for the family. The griddled pound cake is to die for!

We've gotten the little 6" cake at LTT several times, and have always enjoyed it.

In fact I did take the rest in a box to eat in the room because I like it that much! :teeth:

We have always been at least given the choice of vanilla or chocolate though. :scratchin

Wonder if they only have one kind now???

I wouldn't say that cake, itself, is the attraction there, but rather purchasing a cake guarantees a big production regarding your celebration on the part of the CMs. That makes it worth it to me.

Hi!
I was just wondering how you go about ordering the cake at LTT? I was thinking about maybe celebrating my dd's birthday there this November. Thanks! :goodvibes

for the 6" unpersonalized cake I was told to just inform the waitress at the podium at the time you checkin

Does it really matter if it's good or not? If it's a birthday you need a cake even if it isn't terrific. I think 12.50 is a steal for a cake at WDW--be glad it's not double the price. I think it will be great especially if they get the characters to come celebrate when they deliver the cake--very cool indeed!

by the time you order a few desserts you'll probably spend more than $12.50 anyway!!

We've always ordered a large cake and never been disappointed!

We celebrated my dd's b-day last year at LTT..we got the cake (it was good), the cm, and the characters came over and sang Happy Birthday to her. Chip even sat next to her for a while. They also had confetti and small streamers on the table when we got there. I say go for it!!

However, the characters do come over and sing Happy Birthday!
