12/5 - Walt Disney's Birthday?

Does anyone know if they do anything special in the parks to commemorate Walt's birthday? It is also my birthday and we are actually scheduled to go to Sea World that day. May change our plans if they do something special!

We were on the Disney cruise Dec. 5, 2001 --Walt's 100th Birthday. They didn't even mention it! I was very disappointed. Perhaps they do something in the parks.

Around this past Feb. they just finished a celebration called 100yrs. of Disney. This celebration was for what would have been Walt's 100th birthday on 12/5/01, so I doubt if they will do any thing extral special this year. I could be wrong though.

I was at WDW on 12/05/01, the only park they did anything in was MGM, because "the hat" was like the centerpiece of the celebration.

I don't know if all resorts did it. But GF put the paper in a special envelope on 12/5/01. That was all we saw.

We were at the Magic Kingdom on 12/5/01. There was an accouncement when the park opened by Julie Andrews stating that it was Walt's 100th birthday. That was about it! I was hoping for a special pin. We are at the AKL and we did receive a sleve with the newspaper in it.
