OMG Des! That is too cute - the costume not the OPossum!

BTW, did I tell you guys that Isis, cornered an Opossum? I was so freaked because all of a sudden I hear my non-barking dog bark. I went to investigate, didn't see anything brought her inside, she bolted outside and started barking again. So I went to investigate and saw this UGLY, Opossum stunned by our pool ladder. Turns out that Isis had cornered the dang thing and I was so worried about it biting her because it was limping, I called the emergency after hours SEAACA. They called back about 15 minutes later and told me that if Isis wasn't bitten I could either throw a box over it or wait until morning and they'd send somebody out.

I called Andrew who came over from his girlfriend's house and he and Steve chased this UGLY, UGLY, UGLY FREAKY-Bass thing out the back yard to the front. 1/2 way through the back it turned and hissed at Andrew but he said it was definitely limping. I called our vet and they said to just keep an eye on Isis and as she was current on her vaccinations she should be ok. I now have some newfound respect for my non-barking dog. And have warned everybody - you hear Isis barking - something is definitely wrong.

Did I mention the Opossum freaked me out? I didn't even think about taking a picture of it until after they swept it out of the yard. (I was too busy standing on my kitchen chair and trying to keep the dogs inside.)

I am NOT a fan of giant rats!

We've seen one in our backyard, also.

We have an owl that lives somewhere in our backyard..... and a bunch of squirrels -- When you are on the balcony you can see their *nest*.

We live in a wooded area and there is a creek that runs behind the houses across the street....

The first month we were here Samantha saw a coyote on our front walkway.....

Mine is doing pretty good...we spent a great day at DL and DCA with Roger and Cherie and the girls. We had a lot of fun...I probably should have stayed off of Space Mountain with the arm but I couldn't help it!

Oh well....it's doing better and hopefully it will stop hurting soon. Did you go to the Doctor's for yours?

If you needed candy..you should have come over and got some here..we have to much! I tried to adopt a soldier but the person in charge said they didn't have any right now...so I am on a list!

About the cooking....you sound like me.....I'm cooking Jon a roast today since I still want to talk to him about the 2010 cruises when he gets home....

His plane lands at 5pm and then he has to go through customs......... I figure he needs a really nice dinner! LOL! I bought fresh asparagus to grill and potatoes to mash......

Funny - I guess the old adage about the way to a man's heart is through his stomach! Now Boys, don't be telling our spouses we know the secret! I offered to cook today but Steve said since I cooked last night he'd take me out to Friday's (which is not my favorite but heck! Its a meal) - I wonder if the canned veggies had anything to do with that? I forgot to go to the farmer's market so no fresh veggies. Oh well, I offered. I'm good to go until sometime mid-week.

Oh! I will keep my fingers crossed Jon says yes!

OMG that's its brother - but the one in our back yard the tail was a bit longer. It hung down from the coping to the water which was low and all I could see was that ugly tail rope! YUCK! Those red eyes...... I need to stop - I'm freaking myself out.

Well, if you want, I'll share one of mine since I haven't been doing such a bang up job. I should have sent this package off last week but things got in the way. Let me know if you want it.

I didn't go to the doctor, seems the ice has been helping and I put a wrist wrap on it (I used it when I used to bowl) I've been taking it off for short periods and no more shooting pain so I think it was just a freak thing. If it happens again, I will definitely go. I am limiting myself to not picking up heavy things. So I'm definitely babying it. Which is why I kinda stayed off the boards last night. Guess its not hurting that much! I'm here aren't I?

We actually became smart last year and bring backpacks ...it's become kind of a quest each year now to see how much candy we bring home..we see other's doing the same thing I look at it as now I don't have to go out and buy candy! They give out the good stuff too...mini candy bars..dots..tootsie rolls...luckily for me..i am not a huge candy fan so i stay away from most of it.



Have 2 drinks..she said it was an oppossum..

You need to get a medal for bravery!!

My arm is doing okay...my problem is that I dislike taking any kind of medicine (even Tylenol!) so it's hard for me to remember to take my meds. Mostly my back and my lower arm hurt now..the pain in my chest is pretty much gone.



I love those glasses...that was my favorite part of the costume! I could do without the crinolin tho...really don't need extra on my backside and it scratches!
