12/5/09 -- DUMMY -- The Cruise Your Heart Desires Most ; )

That looks great, but you have to find us some cheap airfare to London.

It's running in the low $800 range in February with United Roger.

That's not too bad I figure.

Do you suppose anyone might be interested in joining Alicia and a girlfriend of hers' on a Girls Shopping trip to Hong Kong in (maybe) february of '09? They're planning it now and it's running about $1000 for air ... $1200 pp with a cheap hotel... and $1450 pp with a 5 star property. We might just burn hotel points for the stay though and make it airfare + incidentals only to go. I'm not entirely certain she'll do this - but she has my encouragement to go. If she goes she'll fly United and accrue 15,000 miles + 3,750 bonus miles. That's roughly 3/4 of a 48 state "saver" free flight award and 3/5 of the miles she needs to requalify as a "Premier" level frequent flyer.

But we are not going in February :confused3 August fares run from $1200/pp for changing planes to $1400/pp non-stop X 4 OUCH!!!!

Hi V. Just had to tell you that I enjoyed your planning/trip report thread from your repo cruise!

ty....I am way behind at finishing....and I did promise! One of these days!

is anyone planning on the May repo? I am undecided about May vs August....I read the weather was bad during the last May cruise...is it normal for that time of year?:confused3

Hi, just marking my spot. Hope everyone is doing great. finely got over my dis crud. Still looking for Cheryl. She is still either on the computer or on the phone with you know who you are. But that's okay. still downloading video into the computer. Once I finish we'll start posting. Back to work.

Now Disney is soooo good at keeping secrets....

They just announced the new DVC property at .... guess where

Now what would be really cool is some DVC suites on the new ships.....

1) Why can't Billy be our mascot? And then use the "trunk" saying for our thread title.... "i'm sure more than a few would  it" ;)

As for DC thing..... What's the South Metro station? Never heard of it... Try another name or at least give us the color line that it is on.....

Depending on when you come in.... Actually supposedly NWA to Dulles has been cheaper for some peeps....

I might be able to pick y'all up.....

Yup we could or at least transfer alot to one person....or each person gets the ressie for a couple nights.

Sorry, Tina - I saw this lurking on my crackberry earlier today and forgot to respond. I don't think there is a "South" Metro station. I live close to the 'southest' station at Huntington.

I've never done the BWI bus, so I'm not sure how it works. I did take the train from B-more to Union Station in DC once. About a 45 minute-ish trip, no trauma.

Please let K & I know when you are coming. One of us may be able to be your taxi service, or at the very least we could all try to have a meal together. Are you brining Kaitlin with you?

You guys are great! I wasn't angling for a ride. I looked it's Capitol South metro station on the blue-orange line. The hotel is the Capitol Hill Suites. I called them to see availability and price. I missed the cutoff for the $149 per night rate. The guys tells me Sat night is $626! :scared1: So I went on travelocity and got Fri-Sun nights for $750! Knew it wouldn't be cheap, but come on!

NWA is not cheap to anywhere it was double what our fare is on SWA! :scared1:

OK, I have to share this with someone who won't turn this into a political debate...

Have ya seen the Tina Fey-Sarah Palin skit from SNL this weekend??

The "And I can see Russia from my house." Line literally had me rolling on the floor. Like I really couldn't stand up!

Keeping politics out of it. I know Sarah Palin. I've been in meetings with her many times. I've talked to her...that was her! Not Tina Fey!

On another note, the "Meth Capital of Alaska" comment made me stop in the middle of my kitchen this morning. Knife through my heart, stop. A huge part of my mission for the 3 years I was there was to fix that. I guess it didn't work.

I was wondering. I know Tina Fey is good, but I didn't think she was that good.

M, sorry to hear about the job. Can you see Russia fro you house? ! :rotfl2:

Yes, we have all now entered ...

"The Squirrel Zone"
:squirrel:

I have a lot of squirrels I can send your way!

Oh don't I look like a dummy! Seriously I thought it was a real date, but then I was told in Diversions that it was just a dummy date that DCL used. An imaginary room on an imaginary cruise!

Well maybe we should go on it! But I need to get out of my cat. 5 gty! :goodvibes

The booking agent told me they were just using that date for those who wanted to book for something in the future!

Hey I can multi task while talking to Cheryl and still manage to spend $65 at Michaels!

I'm all alone today in my area at work. Have the door locked so the people who can't read the "Staff Only" sign can't get in!

Yeah...

... the lowest fare appears to be LA to Heathrow on Northwest or KLM ... then a return on VIrgin Atlantic for $1293 on Orbitz. According to Kayak the fare history just emerged with many airlines... so we have a lot of opportunity for price fluctuation coming. I remember the days when you would see bargain fares into the UK for I believe $500 or so. I vaguely recall spending $700 something for my first flight into London and out of Paris roughly 18-19 years ago. I guess the prices of THOSE days are gone for ever eh?

cozy, smoozy; I want to S P R E A D out  .

...and, since imaginary money is no object :rolleyes1

Well....

... if that's the case then I'll take FOUR.... that's 4 catagory 9 cabins please for my family of 4. And there's no need for connecting doors as I'll just throw the steamer trunks out into the hallway and cut my own door sized openings between the 4 cabins!

Chainsaw-Look.gif

FOr that matter, if ya like ... you should book that adjoining cabin to your Walt suite and have me cut an "expansion" for ya! :goodvibes

Yeah, my new imaginary job is paying me lots of imaginary money.

Nooooooooo

M, sorry to hear about the job. Can you see Russia fro you house? ! :rotfl2:

Not now. :(

DH would love to do the Southern Caribbean again, also.

Y'all is a GREAT word. It fits in so many sentences!

We would love to go to the Southern Caribbean again as well.

Interesting fact Steph, you were the very first American we ever heard face to face say "Y'all" - it was outside Treasure Ketch on the Wonder, I remember it so well.:)

Wow Baylake Tower? You're kidding me! What a surprise!!! :lmao:

Now what would be really cool is some DVC suites on the new ships.....

Yes if they charged comparable WDW DVC points, because I don't have enough points to pay the amount they currently charge for their lowest category on DCL. :sad2:

I don't know about you, but I was a little scared when she stood up in the Jacuzzi and started wiping off the bubbles!:scared1:

:rotfl2: That was frightening, but it made Taylor & I chuckle!

OK, hide the rope swing photos...I have a job interview tomorrow.

Any appendages you want to cross and pixie dust you want to sprinkle would be greatly appreciated.

OK, I've read the 11 pages, caught up with what's been said but I can't remember the original question on the first post.:confused3 :confused3

I'll come back later.
