Ok Ladies and Gents....FINALLY my mom and I finished my FE tonight. Just remember before you look at the pic..that this is our first attempt and I am not a crafty person! All in all, for a first attempt, I am quite happy with it. I have got to figure out what to use for names on it thought. I had bought iron on letters and they did NOT work like they were supposed to. Ok..here goes....

I still have the ribbon and the dowel to hang it, but the biggest part is done!

Thanks! I've got to get started on the FE gifts, if I can ever decide what to do!!! It took me forever to get started on my FE, everytime I'd plan on doing it, someone would get sick or something would happen,etc. I finally just made the time to do it!

well i joined this thread at the beginning.....so excited for my 1st disney cruise......well...life is changing.....DH is leaving.....DM is coming on cruise instead. I did get some pixie dust though.......i almost had to cancel the whole thing....it is too late and they needed another 29 DVC pts for the penalty....i did not have 29 pts...then they were going to charge me 375 for my mom as 3rd passanger.....came back and realized i already pd cash for my DD.....they wound up just charging me the 95 bucks.....thank goodness....i mean really how hard is it to change a name....

sorry for the run-on sentences....life is crazy....won't have time to do any fish thingie.....but i would love to meet some of you fellow dis'ers

Sorry to hear things have been going not so well for you. Hang in there! Wish there was something I could do to help.
Glad you finally got things worked out so that you didn't have to cancel the cruise. Maybe it will be a relaxing change of pace for you, just what you might need. I understand about the Fish extender and not being able to do it. I've already counted you in my gifts so you'll have one anyway

Yes DH DD and myself will be on this cruise our 7th cruise, but first time in December so the decor will be nice to enjoy. We live only 30 min from Disney so we are always close to the Mouse.
We were even asked by DCL to appear in the info video that shows in your staterooms, since we have cruised alot and live so close to Celebration. So you may see us on the cruise and on your TVs weird I know. We have also booked the 11 Night Southern for Christmas next year, looking forward to the Dreams ship and getting on as soon as possible. October 29th will be exciting to get the details. Well my daughter is 9 and we will also be celebrating our 11 year anniversary. We go with our BFFs and their kids, so cant wait. And if anyone has questions we have been on alot of these cruises now

I am keeping a spreadsheet for all of us that are planning to attend our meet on embarkation day at 3 p.m. in the Promenade Lounge and/or participating in the FE exchange. As tngal posted, we have set November 3rd as the last date to sign up for the FE exchange. And anyone can attend our meet even if they didn't send any info ahead of time.

Hey everyone. Things have been a little crazy for me since mid September when my DD became engaged. The wedding is set for January 2, 2010 so Disney plans were set aside while wedding plans took over. This week I've been able to get my door decorations/ideas all set but still need to work on the FE and gifts. Going to try to fit in a fabric store this weekend in between wedding dress shopping. Any ideas on FE gifts would be welcomed. Have a great weekend everyone.

Donmil-Oh goodness!! I'm glad it wasn't tears of sadness I just know what its like to be down on your luck. There was a few years that things were not so good for me, and the kindness of others helped me pull through. I always said if I was ever in the situation to "pay it back" I would. I hope no one thinks I was trying to "glorify" myself, because I sure wasn't!!! I'm just a simple ol' country girl

Rebagarth- Congrats on your daughters engagement! I remember what it was like before my wedding, and I think my poor mom worked harder at it than I did lol! As for suggestions for an FE gift...I need ideas myself lol. I have a few ideas but can't decide if I think they're "good" enough someone had mentioned an idea about an FE gift having something to do with the area you live.

Someone tell me why I check my ticker like 3 times a day??? i guess I'm hoping I read it wrong the first time and it is not actually as many days as I originally read!

Lisa--Forgot to mention, I love your FE! I think one of the neat things about FE gifts is that it doesn't matter if its big or small; homemade or bought--it's just the thought that someone wanted to add a little extra magic to our cruise!

Denise--My son got married last year and I helped my DIL with most of the planning. It was fun but exhausting!

Sad, but when I took my very first cruise on Carnival in 2004, I had never really been anywhere except to Gatlinburg Tn/Pigeon Forge, TN because that is the only place I could ever get my dh to go to!

It took my five years of marriage to realize that I had to get my DH out of Missouri or we'd be back home from vacation in two days! LOL. Now he loves to travel as much as I do.

You're right..that area IS beautiful, but after about the billionth time of seeing it..it gets old lol!! I have taken a cruise on carnival in 2004 and me,dh and 2 dd's took a disney cruise last summer, so this is our 2nd Disney My mom and stepdads first disney cruise AND first ever cruise!

I've got my "goody" bags for the kiddo's in the FE exchange done. Can I list whats in them to see what you guys think or would it ruin the surprise for you guys as well? lol.

It is exhausting but I'm having a great time working on the wedding. My DD found her dress, and we've bought all the undergarments, shoes, booked the chapel, got condos in Vegas to stay at and airline reservations made. Just need tiara and jewelry which my sister is getting when she gets here. Going to work on the FE this weekend and discuss the door decorations. Also working on the Engagement Party and wedding after party....oh wait, back to me and WDW. Can anyone answer a burning question I've got? Do the partitions on the Verandahs open so we can make one long verandah between our three rooms or are they secure? I've called and asked the Disney Cruise line and I've gotten three different answers....well, two answers and one I don't know.
