From where are you flying?

Such is flying during the holidays.

Just booked today!
This is the ONE cruise that actually works around school and band schedules for us. Our last two cruises I loved the planning and prepping but for this one I am just overjoyed to be able to go.

We just booked the New Years Cruise. DH, DS 15, DS 10, DS 7 and DD almost 3!! We can't wait! It's our first Disney Cruise!! Hoping to find lots of tips on this board!

:welcome:

Have a great day all!

Welcome to all the new thread members!!!

I agree on the flight cost being high at that time of year - for us almost $150 more per ticket than other times. We are flying from Omaha NE to Orlando.

But we are super excited for the cruise - we have recruited some friends to come too - I will have her check in on this message board.

Maybe we should think about a doing a roll call - and is anyone interested in doing FEs?

I am just now looking at airfare, and I agree it seems a bit high. But it is the holidays.... I just keep thinking Thank Goodness it's not during Thanksgiving week!

We are starting to look at end of summer discounts for swim suits and anything else we might need. The boys have even asked what we are going to sign up to do and which ship is it we're on theis time... and they remember which ship was which trip in the past. never thought they picked up on that!

And, what are FE's? Our last cruise was 07 and I don't think I remember that term from way back then.

Hi,

We're joining you all on our first Disney Cruise and we're all very excited about it.... well I'm very excited about it because the rest of the family thinks our first cruise will be the Med in June. I saw this cruise and thought it would be a fun surprise for Christmas for everyone so I'm not sure when they will know but for now they don't.

We are Me, DH, DD (9) and DD (4). I also talked my sister and her family into going so they will be BIL, DS, DD (10) and DD (6). It's their first Disney Cruise as well. We're from Las Vegas, they're from San Jose. And yikes is the airfare ugly... ended up with SWA and it was still an ugly number.

We're in for the FE. Haven't done one before of course but it sounds like a lot of fun for the kids.

Looking forward to a Magical New Year! :wizard:

It looks like we are getting a great group.I'm up for FEs. I haven't done them before but I've read about them. This is the first year my daughter (3) will be in the Oceaneers Lab. Will anyone else have a son or daughter about 3? I am hoping to meet some people that will also have kids in the OL. If anyone has used the OL before and has tips I'd appreciate the insight. Thank you.
Natalie

Good Morning Cruisers!

Have a great day dreaming of cruising!

Hi Natalie, my daughter Katie will be almost three when we go on the cruise. We were told as long as she's potty trained she would be able to go to the OL. We can't wait.......

Well even though the airfare is steep, where are going! Flying JetBlue down not sure what back yet. Found a great price at SW $69 direct! BUT I would need to stay 2 extra days.....I am thinking AKL????

We just booked this cruise! :thumbsup2
We had thought about going on the 7-night Western right after the half-marathon in January BUT our 7-night Eastern last August turned Western as a result of Hurricane Bill. We LOVE Castaway Cay so much that we picked this instead. We will have to prepare for the half-marathon a little on the ship! :rotfl:

We'll be celebrating both our birthdays and our 14th wedding anniversary too! :goodvibes

Can't wait! :cool1:
