12/29/07 Western - New Year's Eve

Remember fellow cruisers that 9/30 is the day to make your ressies!! Can you believe it is only 90 days til we sail??? WAHOOOOOOO!!!!
:surfweb:

I can't wait to hear from everyone what excursions they book and what Palo brunches or dinners everyone was able to book.

Hey it has been a long time, I am one of the OP's on this thread from April of last year. But, I have been busy (way too much work and way too much vacation the last year).

Realized that tomorrow is the 90-day mark, so I went into frenetic vacation planning mode. Booked a tour of Tulum, set times for Palos, and got the list of activities that the kids want to do...

Whew.

Well GTG..

DH and I are doing Tulum also, we booked our Palo Brunch and Dinner also. All of us are parasailing on Castaway Cay. Keep us posted on what your kids will be doing.

Aargh...

Despite having the hardcopy confirmation that I have paid my reservation in full, and all of the birthdates are in, I am getting this message:

Sorry, you cannot make Shore Excursion reservations at this time. Our records indicate that you have either not paid for your cruise vacation in full or have not provided complete birthdate information for each member of your travel party. If a payment is still due, please apply payment now online or contact your travel agent.

To update birthdate information, you must first call a Disney Cruise Line representative at (800) 951-3532 or your travel agent to update your reservation information. In either case, please return to the My Disney Cruise section of disneycruise.com afterwards to continue making your cruise vacation plans online.

So stayed up late for no reason, while someone else (sniff) gets my slot for Palo's, my daughter's time for a facial/manicure, and the shore excursions we wanted. Rats:mad: :sad2:

Hah -- must have been system problems on their side. At 12:10 AM EST (the time stamp is wrong on my last post) it did not work, but at 12:20 AM EST it did and my Palos, spa, and excursion reservations are done.

Palos for dinner on Tuesday night.
Palos for brunch with my two daughters on Thursday morning.

Parasailing at CC, Nautilus semi-submersible and reef snorkeling at GC, Tulum Ruins at Cozumel and Trolley tour in Key West.

Various massages, manicures and spa stuff as well.

Second seating.

Yippee! :cool1:

Okay -- the timestamps on the postings appear to the 30 minutes off:confused:

I am glad you did get your brunch time!! See you soon! Hope this board gets more active as we get closer to the cruise.

We had the same message, Jim, but we refreshed the page and were able to book Palo Tuesday for dinner and Palo brunch Thursday morning, as well as Key West excursion. Cozumel we booked separately with Dolphin Discovery.

Jim,

Well, after your second message, I see that you were able to book- that's great. Looks like we'll be dining at Palos on the same days for dinner and brunch. What times are you confirmed for?

All done. As others have said, if you get up at midnight to do this you might have to keep refreshing the web page before it lets you reserve.

Our list is as follows:

Key West: Kayak for me; Aquarium and Butterfly for DD and DW

Monday: Brunch at Palo at 10:30

Grand Cayman: Atlantis Submarine--DD and me; Scuba-DW

Cozumel: Dophin Discovery at 10:30 for all; Palo Dinner at 6:30

Thursday: Palo Tea

Castaway Cay:: Kayak morning: DW and Me; Stingray Encounter, 2 PM
We may change that to parasailing for me later.

For those with little princesses, the Princess Palooza is usually scheduled for Thursday around noon. One set of Navigators has it starting at 11:30, another at noon. We went with brunch on Tuesday so our DD-5 can attend.

Our plans are as follows:

Key West: Renting an Electric car for sightseeing as we want to see some of the the museums like the Mel Fisher Maritime Museum, the Key West Pirate Soul Museum, Key West Shipwreck Museum and the Harry Truman Little White House Museum.

Monday: Brunch at Palo at 10:30 (DH and I)

Grand Cayman: Bubble Sub (DH and 1) backup plan if bubble sub is not working, Cayman Island tour at 8:15 AM and Sea Trek at 1:00 PM. Rest of the family is heading to either 7 mile Beach or Rum point.

Cozumel: Tulum Ruins (DH and I) Paradise Beach for the rest of the family.

Thursday: Palo Dinner 8:00 PM (DH, myself, DD's and DSIL)

Castaway Cay:: Parasailing (whole family) 10:30 AM, Watercraft (jet ski) for 1:00 PM (whole family) bike rentals for exploring in the afternoon
.

Our reservations:

Sunday, Key West -- no much just the trolley tour at 1:00 -- plan on it being a laid back day. Will continue to research this one...

Monday at sea, daughters getting manicures in the afternoon -- of course going formal for dinner that night

Tuesday, Grand Cayman -- Nautilus Undersea Tour and Reef Snorkel for all of us -- 7:40 AM  after NYE the night before -- Hmmm -- might need to rethink this, but that was the only time it was offered

Wednesday, Cozumel -- booked a private tour of Tulum so that we have some flexibility to stop and shop, check out a cenote, etc.

Thursday, at sea -- brunch with DD21 and DD18 at Palos at 10:30.

Friday, daughters and DS15 and I going parasailing at 10:30 AM.

Saturday, unfortunately is the day of sadness and despondency :sad2:

May I ask who you booked your private tour with for Tulum?

Well, here's all i got.. lol.. b/c dh and i aren't cc members yet, but we are traveling with my inlaws who are, we were allowed to book our palo brunch, but that's it..

And by the time i found my MIL's password and stuff, the only day available for brunch was the Day 2 (key west), so i went ahead and booked brunch for that day at 10am, So, at least with the boat not docking and being able to go off the boat til 11:30 am (at least that's what it says on the DCL site), then I should be finishing up brunch and go run down and change outfits then hit Key West..
So, i guess all in all it is ok. :)
And i booked my inlaws for the Seven Mile Beach Break in GC.
Other than that, i have to wait til Oct. 15th, to book dh's fishing trip with my FIL.
Thats the only other excursion we are booking.. and i gotta check dd into the clubs.. do we do that online?
