BLT 12/26-30 1 bedroom theme park view
12/30-12/31 1 bedroom lake view
Wilderness Lodge 12/31-1/2 1 bedroom (though BLT Studio Waitlist-should I even bother?)

Father/son trip - feel bad it took almost 4 years to get back so I figured Christmas/New Year's experience warranted but the crowds will be :scared1:

Any advice on room location for above stays and
particularly an action plan for 12/31 would be appreciated?:santa:

If you want to accomplish anything during this holiday period I suggest getting to the parks at opening each day. Get a fast pass and get in a line. Keep your expectations realistic. My children enjoyed HS last New Years. If you want to spend NY in the MK you need to arrive early as that park usually reaches capacity. The last 4 NY we have entered Epcot in the late afternoon and had no issues with capacity. Our family loves the holiday season at WDW but we arrive fully aware of the crowds and limitations we will face.

I'm sure it will be a trip with a lot of memories.

There's always hope for a waitlist. People cancel plans, you never know.

It will be crowded, but get the fastpasses.

Have a great trip.

Make sure that you make possible reservations for big meals by inter net directly to restaurants. Most restaurants during this time frame are "reservation only" and some may not be taking ressies this close to actual date of visit. You don't want to leave that to chance. Also Fast Pass goes out quickly so early arrival is a must. Make sure you use FAST PASS for anything you really want to see on the trip! Magical Dreams! If you want to be assured of attendance at the Candlelight Processional...book a dinner package to make sure that you can attend...the lines are really long for this at Epcot!

Good luck, head out early because by 12:00 it will be mobbed, especially at MK! We take advantage of am and pm EMH, MK is such fun at 1 am! You can ride Buzz Lightyears and Space Mountain as much as you like. Try and make a few reservations if you want TS dining, though it's a bit late. And in the end, just go with the flow! If it's real busy go back to the resort, hang out, swim! Try Disney's Miniature Golf or Disney Quest if the parks are swamped, depending on the age of your son!

Check out the Osborne Family lights at DHS, it's beautiful and the music is great!

Most importantly, have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!
