Well, I got all my running around done. Everything is ready to go Friday. Everything except the packing.. I did start bagging up my hair products, and toiletries. By Golly, I'll get it done yet

Making progress, the suitcases are open on the bed. I have to pack them before I can get back in, so guess I may actually get this done

It's cold cold cold! 13 degrees with a -3 windchill burrrrrr! I'm ready for the sun, and some warmth! Our DU agent emailed me this 10 day forecast. Looks good to me

Yup you probably got an Alberta Clipper. The windchill was -40c/-40f here yesterday I am sick of shovelling I can hardly wait to get on that plane!

Do the terminal and gate assingments come out at check in , or is it listed on the airport website? I think we will walk over and find the terminal after we have checked into the Hyatt.

Well, the luggage is down. I have no more excuses to not begin packing. Other than whatever I pack now, will need to be ironed and repacked before we leave

You should be able to look at your reservations online and see the gate/terminal. We always know the terminal before going, or you won't know where to park. You'll want to know the gate too, since each terminal's parking garages are divided by gate numbers. Makes it pretty easy, but you have to know where you are going! You'll be fine, Brenda! Just check online before you leave -you can even set it to notify you by phone/text message if there are any changes.

I have no excuses. My luggage is in the playroom, and we have no school today - cancelled due to icy roads! My kids are THRILLED!! I am too. I am appreciating this much-needed day of catch-up. We thought that we were so smart getting the kids iPods for Christmas. Then I realized that they won't be much fun with nothing on them! So I have been buying and copying music for them, figuring out how to sync a different iPod on my itunes account, and charging these darn things! And I am doing it in near-plain sight of my kids! I have a blanket on my lap covering up the nano, and they have no clue.

Problem is, I tried purchasing some TV shows to put on there and can't get them onto the iPod. Music is no trouble, but I can't figure out what I am doing wrong here. My tech savvy is definitely being challenged. I have never been tempted to watch TV on my iPod - the screen is too tiny. But I figured the kids would love that. Oh well. They should be happy I got this far - there are over 200 songs on each of their Nanos now!

Ipods are a pain in my backside. Each of my two have one. Lindsey's is a couple years old,and uses an older version of Itunes. Michael's os the new Ipod shuffle, and we had to download a new version of Itunes, only you can't do it on the same computer without un installing the older version. Which would mean Lindsey would loose her music. Since we bought them laptops for their birthday, I'm thinking no problem. Only Lindsey computer tells her she can only download the new version, which won't work with her old ipod. Needless to say her junk is still on my computer. but that's a whole other story

We just got a thin glazing of ice here. Just a little slick,and not enough to cancel school.

I thought I would be smart and track each days arrival of our flight. Just to see if there was a pattern, and maybe firgure out which terminal the plane uses. There is a pattern alright. Three days, three different terminals I will go see if I can find out anything, but I thought they wouldn't know the terminal or gate assignment till 24 hrs out. Parking isn't an issue. We are staying at the Hyatt 7 day Sleep/Park/Fly package. Which brings up another question. Will the hotel shuttle be running at 4:30 am

No cancellations here either. Some parts got hit worse than others but I know Allen, Frisco, etc got it bad.

I need to figure out how to sync more than one iPod on my account too. I want some of DD's music on mine and vice versa.

Team? What kind of team....hmmmmm. I couldn't live up there either. I hope we see everyone. When was the meeting time/place again?

So...forecast for Nassau on Christmas Day says high of 76 and low of 68. Pretty nice compared to here right now!! I just hope we don't feel like the water is too cold to swim in. Any thoughts anyone??

in the Bahamas a scattered shower is kinda like when you see it raining a mile up the highway, and not a cloud in the sky where you are No worries. If it does rain, there, it doesn't usually last long.

Annette, sounds like you are all ready to go. Wish we were. People ( kids) keep calling me to do stuff for them. Don't they know I have my own crap to do? Shoot it isn't as if there's a line waiting to pack or clean for me Anyhoo, have a safe flight. Got my fingers crossed that you don't have any delays. See ya onboard! All vacation plans finalized, portable cribs, highchairs, etc requested. Focusing on cleaning the house right now. Don't want to come home to a messy house! Plan to pack tomorrow night and Friday day. We have to leave for the airport at 4:00 AM Saturday. Luckily its only about a half hour away.

Hi Adrianna!

I'm the same way. It drives Dale crazy, but I can't walk out the door till the house is spotless. Last thing I want to do after vacation is clean the house. I'm finishing up some last minute laundry so the packing can commense. Lindsey and Michael are exempt from semester exams tomorrow morning so they are staying home and packing their bags. Michael won't know for sure till tomorrow afternoon, but may have to take his Geometry exam Friday. Of course it has to be his 6th hr This could throw a wrench in Dale's goal to leave by noon
But hey, I'm always late anyway, so he should be use to it
