12/24/08 Christmas Cruise on the Wonder

Did you know the late Ray Leslie, the young 1SG that died of brain cancer last fall. His oldest babysat for me a couple of times. I dropped her off at a church lock-in one night after babysitting, so I think that is their home church.

I think my hairdresser and her husband attend there sometimes, too. The Caldwells.

Small world, isn't it?

No, I didn't know him. I haven't gotten to know alot of the newer people. Between keeping records in 10th grade SS and choir,I never get to meet people from other areas of church. I did hear about him though. I know some Caldwells. I worked in VBS with Vicky a couple years ago. I must confess, I haven't been faithful in attendance the last year or so. Caused too many problems when Dale was home,so I backed off a bit to spend more time with him.

Yeah, I just checked her profile. A bunch of her posts were random bumps in random cruise meet threads.

All kinds of people, weirdos included, must hang out here. I posted on another thread about my husbands R&R trip and our fabulous upgrade at the AKL and some weird dude PM'd me something to the effect of "oh baby, you rocked him all night long, didn't you? Yes, you did! Oh yeah!"

Ohsogross!

:scared1: Did you report him to the Mods? I can't believe some people can be so disrepectful and outright rude. :sad2:

Darn. Thought we had another cruiser with us.

Protein spills.....Disney's magical word for vomit. We found that out on our last trip while on the Monorail.

BTW, what did we decide was the name of our cruise??

I had to ask didn't I?

Today was Michael's turn. He finally got his backside up early enough to get his permit. Now we have two of them. Thankfully he doesn't make me nearly as nervous as Lindsey. I can relax and enjoy being driven around.:car:

We're off to dance camp. I'll check in when we get home this afternoon.

:offtopic: What fun... sitting here going through the loot that we have gotten from baby showers and getting stuff ready to return that we have duplicates of or too many of an item. Thank God for Google so we can figure out what store some of this stuff goes to:surfweb:

OOOh baby stuff! We had our last in 2002. When is your wife due? I can only pray for grandchildren. With three kids I am hoping my odds are pretty good!

I think I got a compliment from dd12 this morning. She said " Mom your so gangster, you have all the cool songs on your ipod before I do":rotfl2: I smiled and said "thank you Maria" and left it there cuz it made me smile because somedays it is so darn frustrating to connect with moody 12 year olds!:thumbsup2

:lmao: What a bad dirty dog:faint: Did you report it?::cop:

You will have to really watch so you don't miss the exact moment. It does come up fast if you don't know for sure where it is. I wish I had the patience to scrap book. I have 29 yrs worth of pictures in ziplock bags:rotfl2:

Tell me more I want that feeling too:worship: :wizard:  :cloud9:

I could use all the help I can get in scrapbooking. I have such wonderful intentions but don't even really know where to start. I have supplies just no time. Do you start on cardstock or paper? If cardstock do you glue the paper onto the cardstock if you don't want plain white? Told you I need help.....I need to do a class or something. :worried:
Boy do I wish you were closer! Scrapbooking is my passion! I spend way to0 much on it and can justify every penny! First of all, there is no correct way to scrapbook. Do what you like and what feels good to you. I personally usually start on solid cardstock and add the patterned papers to that along with other embelishments. I use a tape runner to attach things like paper and glue dots to add thicker things like buttons. Happy to answer any questions you have. Oh ... when I got started I just looked at different scrapbook magazines until I found a style I really liked and then used those layouts to spark my creativity. My personal favorite is Creating Keepsakes magazine.

Trust me ... patience isn't my strong suit. :-) I just remind myself all the time that every layout I do is one more than I had done yesterday. It helps that I have a scrapbook room. Somedays I only get in 15 minutes, but just being able to leave it out is so helpful!

Congratulations on the new baby, Andy! How exciting! There is nothing quite like letting a new one fall asleep on your chest.:lovestruc

Oh girl. I hate to be the one to break it to you,but you're just getting started. :lmao:

Hey everyone. Let's keep Adrianna's little boy in our thoughts and prayers. He goes in for his tonsilectomy tomorrow morning.:grouphug:

My DH will be coming home tomorrow. He's been in Fl for 10 days. He will only be home two or three days, then he's off to the Pacific Northwest. I may not be on much till he leaves.

Sweet dreams ya'll.

Brenda ... thanks for the info on Adrianna's son ... hadn't read that ... will definitely keep him in my prayers. Have a great visit with your husband. Mine left this morning for Italy so I know how you're feeling!

Caroline, what does your husband do? Mine is a truck driver.

:dance3: "It's a small world after all, it's a small world after all, it's a small world after all, it's a small, small world." :dance3:

Couldn't help it.:hyper:

Ok, I thought it, but wasn't gonna go there:rotfl2: BTW. That is Dale's favorite ride, and the one he was looking forward to taking our granddaughter on.

At least that will get me started. Believe it or not I have actually started organizing the photos once I get them. But now, mine are digital so I have to get them printed (still don't have my own photo printer) after going through and choosing them. Good thing is that the pages can always be moved around if I decide to add a page in between two pages. I don't have time for them to be too extravagant although I like the idea. My sister does a lot but she isn't close either. I do wish you were closer to help me through it and hold my hand.

I'm not sure if my digital camera is a help or a hinderance at times! Like on Memorial Day when I took almost 200 photos before lunch! I'd better get a couple extra memory cards before the cruise!
