Family of four here. Myself, DH, DD Jordan age 15, and DS Jared age 12. I guess they will be 16 and 13 at sailing time. OMG I'm old!
I hope my husband thinks the same about us as you do about your family! That's really nice!!

BTW....I'm Stacey (or LISA, take your pick) and my DH is Jay.

Willie, I am Kat and as of right now my DH David, dd9 Samantha (who will be 10 when we sail - I feel old too!) and I will be sailing as well.

I take it the family staterooms with the drop down bed aren't big enough for your family? I would hate to have to get two rooms. Samantha loves the fold out beds so we do just fine with one room, thank goodness. Actually, we were used to cat 11 rooms until June when we had a cat 3 because we had mom in her wheelchair along with the three of us. We don't need that much space though, so we went to a cat 8 for the 10 day so we can at least have a window this time. DH had suggested a veranday but I told him I'd rather spend the money on excursions (well, I would) so we are getting the 8 with a big window. Now I just have to find a small tree that packs way down so I can bring it with, then find somewhere to put it in the room. Maybe an inflatable one??? Hmmm

DANGER!
DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT attempt to keep up with Lampy when he starts drinking Miller Lite. Many tried, and many crashed and burned last Thanksgiving. He is a freak of nature when it comes to beer drinking.
I out weigh him by 70 pounds, but I could not hang. And that is a hard thing for me to confess! (Being a Texan and all......) And he never slurred a word, or fell down the stairs, not once. Of course he did put on a wig and dance onstage at Rockin Bar D as "Ron Bon Jovi" But I think he was pretty sober when he did that.

Really, you will be in danger of having a great time whenever Ron is in the room!

YES....LAMPSKIES is coming on this cruise too. I wasn't afraid before, but maybe I should be. We'll do just fine, as long as he stays away from my Banfi and the screw-top wine.

ah.... so Bubbles is Mary Ann... now I understand. Any other nicknames I am missing?? I came into this about 100 pages in and still haven't gone back and read them all so I am sure I am missing something!

I found some interesting "trees" at Oriental Trading. They have an inflatable tree for holding cards that hangs on the wall. It has 5 pockets. Might be cute for putting small gifts in since you couldn't put them under the tree but I am not sure it is what I am looking for. They had one of those honeycomb type ones too but it is plain. I will keep looking. I have about 478 days, give or take, so I have plenty of time!

I need a break!! At least dh and I are escaping over labor day. Off to NYC to see SPAMALOT! I am so excited!! Don't know what else we are going to do but we have a couple of days so it should be a nice break, and no kid. DD is going to stay with the SIL. Hurray!

Yes Kat, Bubbles is Mary Ann. Its a joke from her husband. Lets see what were the other names...Lynda is Fluffy, jEn is Bambi, I'm Bunny, Stacey I forget your name. It's our bimbo names. Bubbles was the first and I just LOVE to call her that.

How long does this stuff hang on? Today I am floored with fever and fatigue. Sierra's first day of Kindergarten. Have to go get her soon. Might go get Paul too. He was biking home but it is in the high 90's today.

Homemade chilie rellenos with grilled corn on the cob tonight for dinner. Roasted the chilies and everything. YUMMY my favorite. Made taco soup the other night. Sierra can't get enough of that stuff.
