Denise, I suffered, SUFFERED, with night sweats. When I asked my dr what are night sweats, she replied HOT FLASHES AT NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was in '93, when I was 43. She put me on HRT and the relief was in about 2 days. I finished in '94 and didn't stop HRT til 3 years ago. Now I have a 'sweat' 2 or 3 times a year.

Sue

Arrggh indeed! I just burned my thumb switching racks for the pizza! Oh. :sad1:

Yeah, my dd who will be 9 next month loves Harry. She is working her way through the first book right now.

Me, I just finished rereading the whole series again in preparation for the next one...

Kat

The Fluff Queen is HERE.....
I've been trying to figure out how to make my island big enough to include Sam Elliott, Neil Diamond, and Christopher Lambert.....

Actually, I've been working on organizing two trips to WDW...one at the end of August and one at the beginning of December...working on my house...grrr..., and doing fill-in work for a friend at the mall (sales)...

Hi everybody....Woof, too...

Kathy, my next door neighbor on the Repo cruise sent me a picture of Cash performing in the talent show...What a sight! His little pink tongue was all primed for the next steak treat....

I'd love to see that picture Lynda. That must be a funny one. lol. Wow i am so tired. I have free time right now, then we are going to Capital Hill and the Smithsonian. Should be exciting. lol. So who here has scorging hot weather? ME! lol. It is only 9 in the morning EST, and its already like 90. Well, i have officially run out of things to say without repeating myself, so i will go now. Have a great day all.

It isn't that hot here, thank goodness! Only about 79 right now according to weather.com. It is sunny but we are supposed to have showers and rain off and on for at least the next 24 hours thanks to the remnants of Dennis.

Lynda, I think it is great that you bring Cash along. My dd loves dogs so she will be fascinated as she has never had occasion to interact with anyone with a service dog. She knows to stay away from police dogs, though.

Sam Elliott, yeah that's a good one to add to the island list! That still only makes three for me (to go with Johnny Depp and Liam Neeson). Is Stitch considered male?

Work is soooo boring today. I shouldn't complain, though. I had a week of craziness last week after getting back from 3 days on the Wonder so I should be enjoying the quiet as I wind things down for London the day after tomorrow. What I really need, though, is sleep. Early to bed the next two nights, that's for sure and hopefully some sleep Thursday morning too!

Kat

Morning All,

ok Sue what is HRT? Ice cubes in pill form? What ever it is sounds good to me. Yep woke up last night sleep shirt was soaking. No wonder I'm so thirsty.

HI LYNDA Fluffster :love2: go Cash you show 'em what you are made of buddy.

Oh Kat I was just thinking about Sam Elliott. See what procrastination gets you? Not your island man thats for sure. I loved him in We Were Soldiers.

Hey Jen enjoy that heat. Being a Southern Californian I do not understand how anyone could live in that heat and humidity. Yes this is the one point I will confess I am spoiled.

Talk to you all later. Cause I'm at work practising my typing. :rolleyes1 D

Hi guys....long time, no write! Can you tell I've had to work overtime in order to be gone half the summer?? I guess it's worth it.

Denise....HRT...Hormone Replacement Therapy. I begged my doc for two years. He finally put me on the patch last September. It worked really well up until these last couple of months. I either need a stronger dose, or a pill. I wake up soaking every night. I was 46 when he finally said "Welcome to the Club!"
I had a hysterectomy 10 years ago, but kept my ovaries (sorry, gaRry..TMI, I know).....so I still have to go through all the crap. Now I need to send Jay to the doctor, he just doesn't understand all the changes......

Speaking of gaRry....his test was today. I hope he doesn't mind if I tell you guys (he knows we all love him to pieces) that the procedure went very well and there was no bad news. He still has a long road ahead, but today was a good news day! And he's higher than a kite from the anesthesia. Wheeeee!

Jay & I had a bit of a very cool surprise......I had a call from NY NY Hotel & Casino (Vegas).....I qualified for a free cruise! Free airfare, too. It's on Royal Caribbean, Explorer of the Seas (older ship but huge...bigger than DCL) We leave Miami on the 14th of August for a week.....it goes to Belize, Costa Maya, Cozumel and Grand Cayman.....god willing and the hurricanes stay away! My biggest fear was that it would be an inside cabin (claustrophobic) but they are balcony rooms! Tiny...very tiny...smaller than DCL's Cat 12's....but it's just Jay & I ...and with only 2 days at sea (one for unpacking and one at the end for packing)....I think we'll do just fine. See, I'm not spoiled...I don't have to ALWAYS have a suite! LOL
I'm excited about seeing a new ship. With more stores. And new ports. Jay & I spent 10 days in Belize, 16 years ago....I bet it's changed a lot since then!
But, we are going to Las Vegas this weekend ...to the Mirage with some friends of ours, then from July 28-Aug 4th I'll be at WDW with the kids, home for a week and then on the cruise. I'll need a vacation after all that!! :teeth: ;)

Best get moving...have to run Jordan to town to get new ballet slippers and then get to the office.

BTW....as small as our little town is, they put a Chico's in by our new Target (we're growing!).....I always know that if I need a top or a pair of pants in just that certain color, I'll find it at Chico's. By the time I've looked at a million stores and not found anything, I'm willing to pay the fortune they get for their stuff! But they do have some cute things!

Hey Stacey, thanks for the news on GaRry, we will kepp him in our prayers.

I think I will go the holistic way for these beginning years. :guilty: Man thats hard to say. My chiropractor of all people put me on vitamins and a natural estrogen cream when my PMS got really bad. Oh yeah I used to get really bad with PMS. Can't wait for whats coming. excuse me waiter....more wine please.
Imagine cool breezy beaches, palm trees swaying in the wind, the ocean lapping at my feet, with my fab fantasy 5 hanging out with me. Yeah baby. I feel better now! :cloud9:

Hey, that is good news about GaRry. Glad things went well.

I am not looking forward to hitting "that time". I am diabetic, have high blood pressure and high cholesterol so it is unlikely my doctor will want me on HRT. DH is already misearble with my PMS so I fear what I will be like then! PTB willing, it will be a while yet (I just turned 43 so it might be around the corner, but it might not....).

I could never live somewhere that it was over 85 with high humidity for most of the summer! We had almost two weeks in June and that was almost more than I could take! It has since cooled down to low 80's with medium humidity.

Yeah, Denise, procrastination is great. Sam may not be an island man but he sure is cute and that voice! mmmm. :rolleyes1 What can I say? I don't normally go for the ones that everyone else likes (I never did understand what women saw in Robert Redford or Paul Newman). Gene Wilder, Tim Curry in his Rocky Horror Days....those are the type I go for, if you could call it a type.

The Best Way To Do Housework

1. Open a new file in your PC.

2. Name it "Housework".

3. Send it to the RECYCLE BIN

4. Empty the RECYCLE BIN

5. Your PC will ask you, "Are your sure you want to delete Housework permanently?"

6. Answer calmly, Yes, and then press the mouse button firmly....

7. Feel better????

Mary Anne, why is that blasphemy?? If we all liked the same ones there wouldn't be enough to go around! :)

Sure, why not make that official. I get to go see Tim on stage over Labor Day  That makes me happy.

Then, there's always the "Ionic Breeze" thing your where around your neck. It's your own personal air conditioner. That's what the commercial says anyway.
