Hi all!!

No, Robin, it really didn't hurt. There were a couple of times, when he was working on her feet, that it hurt a little bit. but there were some spots where all I felt was some pressure! She is still healing so her skin looks look she got sunburned. As soon as that is gone I will take a pic and post it.

I know what you mean about talking to folks here, too. It helps, I think, that we all got to meet and hang out for a few days. I wish you were going to be at DL when we are in August :(.

Speaking of talking about things, Sam got a new outfit on Saturday and wore it to breakfast yesterday. The top is a beautiful turquoise shirt with one of those little "b**bie jackets". The neckline isn't real low but when she leaned over I noticed that my 10 year old has actual cleavage!!!!! :scared1: :scared1: That's not right is it????? :scared: :faint:

I think we know each other just the right amount to share. We aren't strangers, but we don't have to worry about everyone we know hearing what we share here either...and you all are such nice people!:grouphug:

So Kat, you finally broke down and let her wear a b**bie jacket!:rotfl2: One of the 10 year olds in Kev's 4th grade class is VERY developed. Was at the beginning of the school year. She was in his class last year and DID NOT look like that! The funny thing was he didn't even notice. When I mentioned how she had changed, he looked confused....guess he still has awhile!:rolleyes1 Patrick and Brian would have noticed. ::yes::

hi all,
hope everyone had a nice mothers day..dh took me to earl of prime for a great dinner..sat my dd took me out to lunch..it was nice..
robin, did your niece do anythng for you or her mom for mothers day..
well nxt is fathers day ...wow i though a gift to WDW would be nice!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: do you think he will know that gift is really for me!!:rotfl:
well gotta get ready for work..
have a nice day to all

I spent my Mothers Day at a Lacrosse tournament. Brian's team ended up getting second place, losing in the finals to the team that they played when Brian broke his arm. Interestingly, over the course of the weekend our family accidentally ended up chatting with the coach of that team on Saturday. Then after the final game was over and everyone had congratulated each other, Brian went over to the boy who had broken his arm and talked to him. He felt the kid had been looking over at him several times. The kid told Brian he hoped nobody was mad at him or blamed him and Brian told him he understood it was an accident and it was OK. I'm told of the audible crack that people could hear from the sidelines and the grotesque look of the dislocated wrist. If the kid had any conscience at all, he probably had some bad days himself after it happened, knowing he caused it. I think it was good for both boys that they got to talk for that moment.

Now we're done with all of that except for a tournament for Kevin this Saturday and Brian's party Sunday. Then the following Friday school gets out! And you're right Joanie, before we know it, it will be Father's Day. Hmmmm...gonna have to work on that vacation idea...it DEFINITELY has its benefits!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Talk to you all soon!

Hey ladies! How's it going??? I am bummed. Crocs tells me the PoTC crocs won't be out until JULY!!! ***??? But I did go prepurchase my movie tickets today!! The local theatre is actually having an 8:00pm showing on the 24th!!!! So I will be seeing it a day before it is in wide release pirate: :3dglasses popcorn:: .

Yup, we let her wear one :confused3 . What can I say. At least she has the b**bies to make it worth while! She has "grown" since December so I think you will be surprise, Sherrena!

Hi everyone, hope all is well on your front:thumbsup2

I heared. There was a Thread about it and many posters said that they would still smoke and that the fine is a one time fine up to $500 and they will just add it to there vacation $$$ because they will not have anyone ruin there vacation by telling them that they can't smoke:confused3

now my problem with that is that if all rooms are non smoking and you cant ask for a non smoking room and the people before you were smoking in that room anyway before you, than the room will smell of smoke.

At DL all there rooms have been non smoking for awhile and have never ran into that before, where the room stunk of smoke so hopefully I never will. Not ssure if just have been lucky or for the most part most people are curtious and will not.

Florida passed a law a few years ago that said no smoking in hotel rooms. We were told about it staying somewhere else, and it was in all of the newspapers at the time because they were just implementing it. The outside part is new and only Disney as far as I know.

I'm really allergic to cigarette smoke so it makes me happy from a selfish perspective. However, people have and will continue to smoke. We've gone into rooms where it was smoky before, even though it was non-smoking. Smokers think you can't tell a difference. We had a neighbor a few years ago that bragged about how he always smoked in non-smoking rooms, he just put his ashes in a glass of water and washed them down the sink. He had no idea about the smell.:sad2:

and smoke bothers me alot-wth my asthma..

Yes it was on the snews here a number of times. Seems a young boy saw what he was doing and reported it. I would like to know...where were the parents? I heard no mention of them has anyone else?

No, the law was for inside the rooms. This is an extension to the outside, decks, etc.

I heard nothing about the perv at Swan/Dolphin.

Pretty trusting...some 14 year olds are pretty advanced. I wouldn't want my young daughter (if I had one!) alone with a boy of that age unless I knew him very well.

Hi all!

Just coming by because I hadn't checked in awhile.

So is everyone ready for the big opening!pirate:

I won't be able to see it for at least a week. I have Bunco Thursday night, Friday is the kids last day of school and there is much running them around to parties and all (starting with early checkout at 11:30) and getting ready to leave for the beach on Saturday a.m. Long story, but we probably won't see it while we're there either...will have to wait until we return!:sad2:

Maybe the extra waiting will make it seem that much sweeter.

I bought my tix for tomorrow night early last week! Then on Sunday I am taking Mom so will see it again. Dave's friend was given two tix to the race this weekend so they will be going to see that craziness! His buddy owns a car repair shop and Advance Auto gave him tickets to the Brickyard 400 last year. This year is is the Indy 500.

Sherrena, looks like we are leaving here the morning of the 9th of June so should arrive sometime late that evening. Hope that will be ok with you all.....

Oh yeah, and my PotC crocs should be delivered today!!!!! I ordered them directly from crocs. I found the coolest new Jack t-shirt at the Disney store last weekend too so I will be all set for tomorrow night!!!!!!!!!! pirate: pirate:

Sounds like you are ready to go for opening night!

I'm jealous! I really wanted to be at it the first night...but too much life in the way. I bet I'm there the day we get home from the beach, though!;)

The 9th is fine. We can "talk" that week after I get home and before you leave. This week is crazy with the boys last week of school, finals, class parties, etc. etc.

And I'm trying to manage my own life and get ready for :beach:!

Has your dad said anything about the wildfires affecting his air? I'm hoping for our sake that the ocean breezes keep the smoke away. We had one day a few weeks ago where they told us there was stuff in the air form the fires, but you didn't notice it. I guess if you were sensitive, (asthmatic, whatever) you might have an issue. Then all of a sudden yesterday we walked outside and it was as if someone was burning something a block away! Everyone thought there was a fire near us. Nope, just perfect atmospheric conditions and a fire hundreds of miles away. It smelled smoky outside all day long and it burned our eyes. Today is better, I guess the wind has shifted.

My Dad was commenting on the weather yesterday and said "for a long time already it's been over 80 degrees and clear (except for the occasional waft of ashes from the awful fires in the Okefenokee, and around Waycross)" so I guess it isn't too bad there from the fires either.

Yup, all ready for tonight. My crocs arrived yesterday and I put my pirates jibbitz on them already!!! They are the red with black and they are AWESOME!!!!! I will definitely bring those with too. I also have my Disney scrapbook done to this point with stuff from the cruise so I will bring it too. I am sooooo ready to get out of here for a few days!

I everyone,
Kat and Shereena sounds like you will have a nice visit. Sure wish we lived close enough to join you:).

We will not be going to see POTC for a couple of weeks. To crowded and want really good seats without getting in line 4 hrs before. If I was not so tiered and not a school night I may have went to the midnight showing:thumbsup2

Have been soooooo busy with end of the year school stuff. I'll tell ya I put myself on over load at home and at school that I just can't seem to keep things straight. I write things down but forget where I wrote it or put the book that I may have wrote it in:confused3

For the next 3 1/2 weeks I will be finishing up on 5th grade promotion, PTA pool party my house with about as 70 kids and adults, Donations for Middle school Auction, Smithsonians Field trip arranging fundraising, In coming 6th grade Luau for the Middle school, Honorary Service Awards, 3 field trips, Music concert, March of Dimes raising money, Getting house ready for pool party, Well you get it...also can't forget to take care of my family at the same time. No time for me to get a hair cut :rotfl:

But I love every minute of it...I just finished 2 weeks of Field and track volunteering from 9-3:30. You should see my house :scared1:

We all seem to get so busy at the end and beginning of school. I want a fun vacation after all this, anyone have any $$$ that I can have to take one:rolleyes1 Thanks goodness for DVC and Disney sooooo close:thumbsup2

Well Need to run and do some stuff. Will touch base soon. Sherrena and Kat be sure to post some pictures of the 2 of you together and post.

Catch ya later and thanks for listening to my ranting:santa: :goodvibes

hi sherrena & kat,
how nice you are going to visit,,and i would love to see kats scrap book!! and potc crocs...
do you guys live near each othr?? i know you both said before where you lived, but i forgot!
im still in pa. i dont think any one lives near me..
you guys were talking abt fires..where were they..i had to cancel my weekend down long beach island nj last weekend cuz of fire..stinks...literally..
thought i was going to see potc tom after work at noon but dh just informed me he has an appointment ..i want to see it before i hear everyone talking abt it..
kat, i still cnt figure out how to snd you tht picture, there isnt any clip at the top

Joanie...your e-mail should have a clip at the top...look there, not the DIS. (Don't know if that's what you were doing.)

Kat lives in Indiana and is heading down to see her father along the Southern Georgia coast. Atlanta just happens to be right along her way!:cool1:

I just got home from bunco a bit ago and am trying to wind down. "Talking" on the computer is a nice transition between "talking" to real people and not talking at all!;)

And Robin...it's great that you're motivated, but take care of yourself!

Have a great day tomorrow everyone! :sunny:
