Hey Angela! A trip to Scotland sounds good to me! Actually, we are seriously considering a Europe trip Summer of 2008. We want to do something special, and that is something we always wanted to do. David thinks about Ireland/Scotland, I don't know if those would be my first choices, we'll have to see. We may even look at what ABD is doing that Summer...they're pricey, but a lot less hassle..depends on where we go. Of course, we'll have to see if we have $$$ for any of it! (Sigh.)

I'm glad you came and filled us in, 'cause several here are doing that EB...we wondered if you were on their list!

I'm not supposed to work Fridays, but guess what--I am today! But I'm not going in until later to meet with a client. So that means I gotta hurry and get on my list of what I meant to get done, now with less time! See you all later!

angela, scotland is great, in fact to be lucky enough to go anywhere is a good thing..i wish you all were on the 6/29 riviera cruise..but maybe if and whn disney goes to alaska we can all jump on that..
we all have more thn just disney in common..we all love to travel!! and thats a nice thing
i am off today, sorry sherrena..so i am off to the washer, dryer, vacume,etc,, i would rather be wth clients!!!

Morning all. Tired here. Dave brought me some coffee earlier but it doesn't seem to have helped .

Mom is home but the doctor said he isn't happy with the way her foot is (or isn't) healing. He changed her anitbiotics and she has to keep it elevated, even at night. She apparently had staph cellulitis, a form of staph infection found in skin. Her foot is terribly swollen right now. If it doesn't show improvement when she goes back on Monday he wants her back in the hospital and she is refusing to go. ugh.

sorry to hear your mom is not doing well. i have heard of specialists that just handle foot wounds that dont want to heal..maybe you can look into that for your area..
it is sooo cold here...where is the global warming!! i can use some of that now

Kat sorry that your Mom is still struggling with that...Parents can be sooooo stubborn. My DAD was German and talk about stubborn...is your mom german? I am sorry for your frustration and her health. WE will add you and her into our family prayers...can never have to many of those.

Angela...can I sneek into your suitcases????please??? I would love to go to Scotland. As our kids get older we will be exploring more places like that. Would have loved to do the Med cruise but kids would not enjoy it (all that sight seeing and all) and cant imagine 14 hrs on a plane with them

Billie is sick today...norovirus I think...he NEVER gets sick...ever. And when he does he is like a 3 y.o. Why is it that I can still take care of my family with 104 temp but when his goes to 99 degrees he is down for the count
I gues I can just say...I AM WOMAN HERE ME ROAR!!!!...lol../

I would too....as long as the washer/dryer/vacuum got done. Sadly, I now have to do them tomorrow instead!

Oh, Kat, that's so sad! I think my grandmother used to have that on occasion...it is really difficult to get rid of! Poor you, being primary caregiver for mom has to be hard.

Just dropped in to say hello to everyone and hope all is fine. We have booked two more cruises and are getting very excited about them. We leave for the Mediterranean cruise in 133 days and have also booked the Westbound Panama Canal cruise. I am especially excited about that one. We didn't do the last Panama Canal cruise but I watched it on the webcam. It looked so awesome and I just had to book when we saw the cruise listed again. We started calling in the morning of the first day for booking and finally got through after 2 1/2 hours of trying. All category 1 - 3 rooms were gone so we took a category 4. We are room 8044. We really loved our category 3 room this last Christmas and wanted that again but we will take a category 4 if it means we can be on our magical ship once more. When we booked our very first cruise we certainly never expected to be cruising as much as we are now but we just love the Disney Magic. We were to do a Hawaiian Islands cruise with NCL in December 2007 but we are going to have to cancel that one so that we can cruise with DCL instead.

Today is and grocery day. Got the shopping done, still working on the monster. We are under a winter weather watch starting tomorrow morning so we will have to wait and see what happens.

Mom goes back to the doctor tomorrow to see how her foot is doing. She says if he wants her back in the hospital she won't go .

Good luck with your mom Kat! Seems like those kinds of things are really hard to heal in older people.

We haven't been up to much...just a regular sports-hopping hectic weekend finally winding down! The kids have a four day weekend next weekend--was going to be five, but they lost one day because they stayed home for ice a couple of weeks ago. Poor babies, I think they've had about two full weeks of school since going back after New Years. Every other week they've had a day off or an early release date thrown in there!

Well Kat...thats alot of laundry ....hope you get it all done..and hope that your mom does not end up back into the hospital

Well guess what...I just got a call from my sister and my niece is coming out again this time more willinglee(sp)...although she was givin a choice between here and a boarding school for troubled teens in Montana...

Morgan(my niece) seems to think that she is not doing anything wrong and she told me that what she is doing could be alot worse..WHAT alot worse....hopefully once here she will be able to reflect on what she has been or should say not been doing back home...

If she does not work out here that my sister will send her away to that school in Montana where my niece can have no contact with parents or family for 1 year...WHAT!!!! and she will have therapy and school and all that stuff...I personaly think that is a bad choice!!!!!!!!!!!
I also think my niece is a good kid who has made very bad choices....

personally at this point I wish she would just straighten up at home...and not have to come here. But she is family and I love her and so help we will.

Morgan(my niece) has been told by my sister that if she comes here and does not make progress that she will send her to the school in Mo.
This school costs $40,000 for 1 year and she applyed for a loan.

This is coming from a sister who wont spend the $$$ for a shrink. And she also is only leaving us with $500 for 5 or more months to take care of her daughter.

We look at it as where we can feed 4 we can feed 5. But school lunches and clothing and books and such all add up. And it is not that we cant afford her it's just the princilple of it all.

I am just glad that we are here to help her...and that MO. school is no where to send a child...to me it sounds like a scarry place with REAL bad kids...not just troubled teens...

They will be here Thursday I believe....Billie has bet me $20 that she does not make it. I believe she will cause givin a choice this is a much better place to come. Geeeeesh!!!!

We are sitting here waiting for the storm, literally. They say by sometime Tuesday we could have anywhere from 6-10 inches of snow!!!! Ugh!!! I think this is reverse global warming! We had temps below freezing with windchills that were below 0 last week, now this.

I am getting more excited about my August trip to WDW. Yesterday I called and made all the dining requests! We are having dinner at the castle one night and part of the package includes a photo package which I didn't know about! Have to remember that...

Has anyone heard from Dee? She hasn't answered emails or PMs in a while.

Anyone had any more word from Jen???

I have to agree the weather is shifting in so many directions...You can see over the past few years how the snow is worse and droughts and more hurricains, and cold weather where it should be earm and warmer weather in some areas that should be cold...

Just a couple of weeks ago I was driving Branden to Basketball and we had a light drizzle and all of a sudden it turned into small flurries whats up with that????

I have so much to do "AGAIN" to get ready for my niece and sister to arrive...if they do I did talk to here and she said that she was coming this time..will dee.

As far as Jen and Dee...no news from them at all. Maybe Angela has seen her and keith? The few of us that are still here like to come here and say hi to each other and we also like these boards...so no dought we will all be intouch through the different threads...also we can always find each other through PM.s...

I haven't heard from anyone other than here...and occasionally bumping into Robin around the boards! (Should have known you would find the "bras on cars thread!" ) Robin, good luck with the niece. As far as the programs, I have known a few parents who have sent their kids to them as an act of desperation...usually when substance abuse is involved! If you find the right program it can be very good. I hope you're able to help your niece!

Kat, making ADRs makes it seem official, doesn't it? We had reservations at the castle after the cruise. I decided to cancel them. For the five of us, it was expensive, we had just had a bunch of nice meals and I thought the boys might really HATE the princess thing. Just didn't think we'd get enough fun for what the one meal would cost. For you and Sam it should be just perfect, though!

I want to go t0 WDW... ...wish it was not soooo far away. Yes, we have DL but it is not the same...WDW Rocks and DL is fun but just not as thrilling.

We are planning on going to Hawaii in 2009 for 2 weeks and than DC again if they come up with something real special or a new ship...otherwise will pass...

But I say that know...if no ship in 2010 we will go back to WDW..who know's maybe will through a week on also on DCL anyway

Sherrena...where do you hang on the boards...I see ya all over also but is there one place that you hang mostly? I seem to think that I have seen you on the Wasabi threads and chatting often on wone of them...

Well I have the comp for awhile tonight but have to go do laundry in a little bit....

Guess what I did today...I finally took down our Christmas tree...lol...have been lazy. It had no decorations on it just the lights that are attached..

We are hunkering down here....current forecast says 8-12" of snow by tomorrow evening. Indy is telling people already not to go out unless it is necessary!!! but they haven't cancelled school there yet. No knowing what exactly we will get. Tomorrow is Dave's birthday too

come on robin,,come to wdw..it does rock..ill be out in dl june 2008..before the riviera cruise..
but before tht i wll be in wdw 4/29-5/7, i am stopping off at lakeland florida 4/27 for a few days at silver springs..

It is officially a blizzard here! They say by the time it is done we could have up to 14"" of snow now!! Dave and Sam are home today as school was cancelled but unless they close the roads my office is open so here I am.

I just think about going to WDW and that helps, though I am going in August so it will be miserable at the other end of the spectrum then. Why am I doing that?? Oh yeah, for DDs birthday!
