Here is an update on my Niece...she is to fly out today at 4:00 EST and she has ran away....my sisiter went to the bathroom and she climbed out here bedroom window.

We are trying to hunt her down and we are sure she is with the 24 year old idiot no good boy friend(she is 15 mind you)...

When my sisiter gets a hold of her she will be putting her on a plane....I have her already to start school on Monday and she has been withdrawn from her school in Florida.

I understand her running away, guess at 15 I would have done the same thing, you know that 15 year old rewiring of the brain...no sence to what they do or say half the time...but understanding that and listening is the first step.

My sister is at home waiting and trying to find her and is soooo upset and pissed off. I feel like crap over this whole thing and I'm not her mother.

My sister can be somewhat selfish when it comes to herkids and self. She feels that she has a life also and she will make sure that she gets it. She does not think twice of leaving the girls alone for a week and takeing off to Costa Rico!!!!

There father who lives out of state is totally useless and a looser also...
Told my sister that she may have to fly out with her to be sure that she gets here....She has the police helping.

I will let you know more info as it comes to me....thought that you might like some gossip and when she gets here sure it will continue and keep you on the edg of your seat!

Im ready for battle!!! and alot of support and understanding to go along with it! Wish us luck

hope this all works out for everyone! Shouldn't that guy be in jail for statutory rape or something?

And there does seem to be a pattern for parents that are overly concerned with having their social lives, at the expense of family time or spending any time with their kids. Our local drama continues, but what you just explained about your sister is not uncommon to what I see with these troubled families either!

My sister has gone to the cops a number of times and they are just not interested. These people that she is hanging around with have been in trouble before,,stealing vin # off new cars they stoled and putting them on other older cars and old vin 3's on the new cars then burning the old cars and selling the new cars....

They have been arrested for illigial firearms and drug possesion...things like that and the cops are disconcerned.

The group she hangs out with of course are all related in some way and do not work and are school drop outs. The only reason the guys like her around is because she will bed all of them.

She has so far overdosed, had gonorrhea, throat infections from sex, 25 different sexual partners(in just one year) smokes, does cocaine, pot,alcohol and lots more stuff., including repeating the 9th grade for the 2nd time and failing it again... She is very easily influenced.

Believe it or not to look at her and talk with her you would never have a clue that all this is going on with her.

And know we can add run away to her so wonderful resame...

I'm mad at my sister because she is just ready to throw in the towel when she really has not done much to stop all this except tell her not to or else.
That is why when she called me to have her come live here Billie and I did not hesitate to say Absolutley send her here.

When Morgan ran away she left behind everything but her Birth controll pills..I told my sister that she will be back when she goes to work to get some clothes that she may want to take all her clothes and throw them into her car so morgan would only have the ones on her back. She said she would just lock the door so she could not get in...I said that if she wants thoses clothes she will get in...my sis ter said Well she has to many clothes...she did not want to be bothered.

I sure hope she gets here out here...she has another daughter who she says is a good girl but dont think she has a clue...has her blinders on...Cori may be better but she is still a teenager...and you need to be parenting with EYES WIDE OPEN...

Well that is my story for today...stories like this can make us all better parents...my sister is a single mom who works hard and has provided a nice home on 10 acres of beautiful property ...the girls have never gone without anything important...except a parent who has no clue when it comes to parenting....

here is a group hug for you you will need all the support you can get..i am sure once sh is wth you, sh wl settle down..and hopefully learn alot from you and your family.. i think its great that you are putting yourself out there to hlp turn around anothr persons life..so they may
have a better one..

Oh wow... That's SCARY! And she's only 15? Wow Robin I feel for you! I really hope you can do something for her cause that's so sad. She's just throwing her life away for some low lifes. Maybe if you're strict with her she'll be able to turn her life around! Here's sending pixie dust your way!!

I am afraid something like this may happen to my niece. SIL has had a string of men in and out of the house and they are none of them gems. One is a bi-polar bisexual who doesn't work much and has stayed with SIL for months at a time. One weighed over 700 lbs before he had gastric bypass and got fired from his job as a youth minister because of accusations of sexual misconduct against a 12 year old girl! And the current bf is a convicted sex offender and is listed in the database as a sexual predator, against young girls! DN drew some very graphic pictures at 7 or 8 years old in which the female was crying in each and every one. SIL wasn't too worried though, she says DN told her the older girls at the trailer park where her dad lived at the time told her about it. I talked to the ex BIL and he didn't even know about the pictures and said she wasn't allowed to hang out with those girls when he had lived there! He is trying to get full custody for obvious reasons! And this is the SIL that DID take care of my mother but got told to leave because she was stealing from my mom!!!!! SIL doesn't really care about her, more concerned about making sure she has her fun and to h**l with the dd. Very sad.

Robin, I agree with you..the eyes gotta stay open! Our family has such regard for the man that coaches DS16 and DS14 in Lacrosse. His now 14 year old son was caught about a year ago sniffing Axe and getting involved in drugs. The sniffing Axe things seems to be a favorite bad kid pastime for middle schoolers around here. Over the years we've seen them get caught and the parents go into denial. Now many of those kids are heavily into drugs, parents still in denial. The Lacrosse coach couldn't make an impact on his son, so they sent him to military school. You could tell it was a difficult and painful decision for the parents, and he misses his son as he works with these other kids, but they decided they had to nip it in the bud. They drive an hour each way and pick him up and bring him home for every weekend. The mom says she sees a change in him. We just ran into them out for breakfast, and he looked great! I don't know what all led up to their decision, but they did what they had to do...and I respect that.

I also respect you Robin for being willing to handle your niece. I hope they find her and she wants to turn her life around. If she doesn't, you may not be able to help her. If she's involved in drugs and stuff she may need a treatment program...you'll have to see what's happening when/if you get her.

The problem with Teens is that they just don't get it. There brains are re-wiring all over again and they have no common sence or logic and don't think anything that they do is wrong. No difference on that as far as when we were teens... sure you remember"Stupid parents just dont get it!!"

No news on my niece as far as I know...my sister said that she would call me as soon as she finds something out. If I don't hear from her in a couple of hrs I will call her...by 12:00 noon

I just can't imagine closing my eyes on my kids for one moment....mostley a teen. Branden is heading into that "I know everything, you know nothing stage" and starting his mouthing off. Well although I understand this and his hormones are running a muck and it is normal for his beginning his teen years and through ..that just makes me listen to him more carefully.

When I dicipline him I stay calm and focused and do my best not to yell.
And I hold my ground firmily. I have never raised a teen but hope to learn from others misstakes and ones who have had luck in this venture.

Luckely he loves his computer so I have great leverage at this time...and all I have to do is pull that from him, and he hates me for awhile but he gets over it and follows through.
It's great to be king!!!!

Hail, King Robin!

Axe is a deodorant popular with the boys. It smells good, like cologne. There are other brands now, but it was the first. They may not even make the aerosol version any more, I mostly see the stick kind now which is not a problem. What the kids learned was that sniffing the aerosol version gave them a high--also in extreme cases fatal. Since it was a common household item and something their parents would buy for them it was easy to get and to use. They had to ban it at one middle school around here because kids were even using it in the PE locker room between classes--who's going to think twice about deodorant in a locker room? My guys use stick, but they do sometimes like that brand. I think Right Guard now comes in various scents and somebody else that I can't remember right now.

UPDATE: My sister heared from my niece who said that she would come home if she did not have to go to California...my sister told her to just come home and she could go back to school there...

My sisters plan is to fly here out hear on Friday and come with her. She will not tell her the truth because she wants to get her here no matter what it takes. The trust between them has already been lost so she feels at this point what does it matter.

Billie is concerned that forcing her that way to come out here is going to create all kinds of problems. Although I agree with him to a point I feel that getting her out here is the first step...I told him that it is like an intervention...

I hate doing this to her...but what else can we do. I think when she comes out here that I will have to make it so much fun that she will not want to go back home. We have trust between us and dont want that brocken....

Here mom want for her to not talk to all the guys and her friends while she is here but told her that cutting here out of her life all at once is dangerous...she will be able to talk to them and will try to weed them out as I bring in new grass....

She will be here Friday....DH is very upset about haow this is being handeled...hope that I can prove him wrong. I promised that if ther was no change even the slightest after a few months than we could find other options...but I know him...once she is here he will change his toon and want to do everything he can to help her...he's just that kind of guy...

So the Drama continues... get out your popcorn and get ready!!!!!

Morning everyone.
All is well on this end...awaiting Friday for sister and niece and trouble but were ready!!!!

Hoping that IC will call to book ressies for the Mexican Riviera so I don't have to get up at 5:00 am on Wednesday(why is Wed spelled that way anyway) to book my cruise. They tell me that I could be on hold for as long as 2 hrs...YUCK...but if it means a lower price than I'am there!!!

My house is clean and I can play on the comp today...will finish a few things up but ...Yay Me!!!....

WEll I will check in to see how everyone is doing....I found a new thread to hang out in when your not here so I will come back with it...it is a 1000 or more posts to get in...nice fun people....

So till than...miss chatting with you all everyday...
