Hi all!

Robin, all I have to say about your situation is..popcorn:: ......

Oh, and pixiedust:

The booking date for your Riviera Cruise Wednesday, (and you're right, it is spelled weird!) and DN on Friday...big week for you!

Busy day today, and its not over yet. There's that whole dinner thing to get on. Bri won't be home until 7:30 so I have procrastinated it, but I think it's time to get busy!

Hi Guys

Wow Robin! That is all I got to say about that!

We might, I said MIGHT, be doing the repo cruise back to FL. We are so excited!!! Very excited!!!!! We have a little more research and confirming with the rest of the family and the MIL.

I am here. It is we are very busy will basketball, PTA, and Eagles stuff -- oh and school. Second grade is very demanding. :lmao: Well Chat with you later.

Angela ...if you can do it do it..it was an awesome cruise!!!! be sure to get booked on Wednesday or the price will skyrocket...we booked it 2 weeks afeter it was announced and only got a gaurantee and paid $10,500 and those that booked on the first day paid as low as $3,000 less for same cat as me....booking opens on the 31st at 8:00 EST...I will be on the phone at 5am and expect to be on hold for 2 hrs...I have a fax to Inventory Controll so hoping they will call tomorrow to book me so I wont have to get up at 5am...

Good luck:thumbsup2

Morning Everyone:flower3:

Joanie, I would do 7/6 because in May and June it is cold and also May gray and June gloom and it spreads to Mexico....That is why we are going so late in the Month of July and Early Aug....it will be hot in Mexico...we like hot!

As for the points I called yeasterday and they said that may not be for a few more days...so I am going to get on the phone at 5 am to book my back to back...than I will call DVC and transfere to them...This way I will get the first pricing before it goes sky high...

When we booked in 2005 we booked the Repo cruise 2 weeks after booking started and paid $3,000 more than people who booked same cat as me the day of booking...I was also put on a guarantee...

So the earlier tomorrow that you can get on the phone the better...the people at DCL said to expect to be on hold first thing for at least 2 hrs..I am hoping that Inventory Controll will call me today so I can book today and avoid all that....expect the DCL website to crash a few times also.

I will be calling DCL on my cell and leaving my home phone open for IC...after paying 3,000 more last time I am not making that mistake this time...wondering how much we paid on all the other cruises not booking first out????:confused3

WE are sailing on July 20-27...July 27-Aug 3....we will pay for first date with points and cash for other...we will be deffinatly be doing the first one...second one is a deffinate unless the school schedual changes. The high scholl which is a charter goes back early unlike our other district HS becaus it is charter it follows different rules....Branden starts HS that year

Wow, Robin...It just keeps getting better, doesn't it?? I will send some pixie dust your way for Friday (and Wednesday too).

Good Luck to everyone that is going to try to call in on Wednesday. Two hours on hold - good thing I've arranged to take the morning off.

Sorry I have been MIA. For some reason, I have been having problems logging in. Also have been having problems with cable so don't know if it is somehow related.

Anywho, natives are getting restless at the moment (of course, just when I am finally able to log back in)

Oh good, I'm glad it is the boards and not my computer. i don't post on many other forums, but every time I tryed to here I would go into Never Neverland and be booted out. After a while I just gave up. I guess it's just a coincidence that my cable is messed up too. Comcast has been out here three times and problem still not fixed :headache: .

Yes, I will be calling in tomorrow morning. Going to try for the Eastern Repo back to FL. I'm hopeful, but trying to keep a reality check here. Judging by all the polls being taken on the main boards that one is going to be very popular. If i can't get a verandah, or if I can't wait list one for a tier 1 price, it will probably be a no go for me.

BTW, I see you posts all over the main board - you just crack me up sometimes :surfweb: :goodvibes

heres to calling in the morning...

Good luck and may the force be with you...:darth: :yoda:

Good luck you guys....and take some of this!pixiedust:

Not feeling very chatty today...but not all bad, I'm getting a lot of office work done.

Hope you all get the bookings you want tomorrow. We aren't planning on hitting any of those cruises, but are in travel mode also trying to get some vacation plans in for later this year. We've already taken care of the week at the beach this Summer, now we just need to get flights booked for trip to see family. Still considering a post-Christmas trip to WDW too...it will have been a year by then, right?:)

No cruises for us for a while :( . But one way or another I am taking DD to WDW in August! And we are planning on driving south to visit DF in early June. Sherrena, will you guys be around between June 9 and 16? We will probably be travelling your way somewhere in that time frame. And DH is looking at going to Pensacola (sp?) to dive the Oriskany in March during his spring break. We won't go because DDs break is a different week. Wish the short cruises were cheaper than they are during breaks, I might look at one for myself and DD but they are too costly for the short trip in March :(.

Kat, we're here that week. Bri goes to camp on the 17th and someone will have to take him to Clemson...(3-4 hour round trip) but we usually carpool them so I'm not even sure Dave or I will get that rotation.

So I'm thinking right now that our friends are getting ready to get on line and make some ressies....good luck gang!! pixiedust: pixiedust:

Hello everyone

I just found out a couple of days ago that my in-laws are treating us to an all expense paid disney cruise. We are going on March 10-17, Western Itinerary.  :cool1:

The kids think this is just too cool, and have already asked if any of their "friends" from the holiday cruise would be going.

We'll be at WDW in July and I hope that next summer in August we can do the repositioning from California

Hope you are all well

Denise

Denise, I just booked the repo from CA to Fla. I certainly hope that your family (and Angela's too) are going to join us. It would be so nice to cruise with you all again!!!!

BTW, very frustrating morning with DCL Ressies, but all worked out. Got a Cat 4 gty. I am sure people are double booking right now so I am confident I will get a decent cabin :yay:

Robin - How are you making out? You did remember to set your alarm, didn't you?

WEll have been up since 5am and the phone lines are just totally busy and can't get through..I am waiting also for Inventory Controll to call me ..when I go on line the rooms that we asked for, for the back to back are gone so am hoping that IC has them on hold for me...I want to go online to book but affraid that if I do I will loose the rooms that they may be holding for me...geesh...

So excited for you both...the PC cruise was just so great!!!!:cool1: the Mexican Riviera for 1 week for the 4 of us in CAT 6 no insurance or transferes is $8,000 for on week...go figure...we were hoping for around $6500 tops...can afford it , it's just do we want to...we do have our points to use so will be using thenm for one of the cruises...

Will let you know what happens as the day goes by!!!:thumbsup2

How do you spell Jealous??? M...E...! That's just over a month away!:yay:

Wow, DVC must be just getting SLAMMED today....I tried calling member services early and they were only open for 2008 Mexican cruises until 9. I was out, and now I've been just getting busy signals when trying. But, the cruise is booking today, and it is 11 months before next holiday season.

Hope you're having better luck, Robin...

OK, finally got through...they were all business, no pleasant chatting today!:)

I remember rarely having any trouble getting through, and we even booked a millenium reservation, which was a big deal at the time!

And just in time for my lunch date....:cool1:

Rebecca is going to be SO jealous. All she keeps talking about is how much she "loved that cruise".

I am trying to talk myself into the 15-day EB repo. $15K for five of us just for the cruise (no air) is a chunk of dough. And we have one kid starting 1st grade and one starting 9th grade and they'll miss five days at the start of school, so we don't know how that will work.
