I see that...

Boy, does everyone on TV have to dress like Jack Sparrow for Halloween????

popular costume!

Well that was fun...I love to Trick or Treat. We usually have about 200 or so kids and this year we had about 25.
We had a new neighborhood built attached to our neighborhood so all the kids were there...how do we know this? Cause we were there also.
The kids wanted to of course be around lots of other kids. So that is where we ended up than came back to our neighbors.

So I am bushed...hope wveryone is well and sounds like all our kids had fun.

So Susan - I want that flight too! Wouldn't you think they would try to book us all on the same? That would be cool. I am going to call our TA tomorrow.

Good morning everyone!

Susan, don't feel bad. I was class of 1980 so I am right there with you, or just a year behind anyway!

Jen, Samantha bought her own lightsaber because she wanted the one that made sounds as well as lit up. It wasn't the Master Replicas one but it wasn't the $7 one either. She loves it, though. And Dave insisted on buying her the $30 full mask that has the battery operated voice changer that has the option of doing the Vader breathing, does three different Vader sayings in James Earl Jones' voice, or gives you three different options in voice change types.

Ugh. Well, so much for that. I just checked the shirts I did with the fabric iron-ons. They looked great until I washed them. The colors appear to have had some problems. There were white streaks in the sky that shouldn't be there after I washed them. :furious: So now do I try to find another white shirt for myself and DD or do I just break down and order them??? Probably order them. ugh. Not fun.

The place in Dunwoody is such a hole-in-the wall (but not yucky!) There's also a new place in downtown Alpharetta--can't remember it's name either--owned by the people that own VanGoghs in Roswell--do you know Van Goghs?

I'm sure in town there are a bunch of great holes in the wall but we suburbanites don't know them...the holes in the wall I know of are WAYyyyy out here where I live. Alpharetta/Cumming area.

I also rarely get to Lenox/Phipps. I swear I got there more when I lived out of town. I'm usually in a hurry and go to the places near me. I'm probably not buying a lot of new stuff for cruise...we'll see.

We always go to the same Lenox/Buckhead places when we journey down your way. My DD has scoliosis (very minor form, thank God) but she has X-rays every 4-6 months with a doctor in Perimeter area. I don't really know anything about Alpharetta area, I'm always afraid to venture out too far from my comfort zone of knowing where I am going.

:surfweb: Good morning all you young things....

So far, I'm the oldest, based on graduating class....you all ARE talking high school, right?

We had moderate trick or treat level last night. We do live in a neighborhood, so we always get some, but we live at the bottom of a hill, so some people pass our little street. One of the friends that went with Kev last night lived on our street, but moved where houses were spread out and they have horses. They like it, but one day a year they wish they lived in a neighborhood, so they come here!

Kat, the Darth pictures are ADORABLE! She's such a little cutie!

EmmyJules I always went to the Lenox/Buckhead area when I visited--it was fun! Now that I live here, it's just not something I take the time to do often. It's about 30 minutes from me, but in traffic can be up to an hour. I need to find you the name of that Mexican place though, cause it isn't far from the perimeter.

That would be great...I love Mexican so a new place in Atlanta would be great. Now I miss Atlanta.... I'm thinking of bringing DD down there for the day on Sunday, after all it is only 3 hours away. HMMMMMMM!!! Oh BTW, I am Class of 87 (high school that is).

Yes.... so you aren't going to share, eh???? That's ok. As a woman you are allowed that right! Me, I don't care personally. DH insists I am still 29 but I know better.

Yeah, DD is something. I had to put one of last year's costume so you can see what she really looks like (well, sort of) since Darth completely covers her up!

DH and I are both '77 graduates. Him in Kansas, me in South Dakota. But he's older than me.....'cause I haven't had my birthday yet this year!

(He's used to that...I say that often during the few months that he is older and I'm not yet! :rotfl2: )

Off to work out...didn't listen to Robin, DID steal some candy! :sad2:

Yes, high school class of '79. DH and I went to the same college - Franklin and marshall in lancaster, Pa. He's older!!! college class of '82 and me class of '83.

NO trick or treaters last night. Went to bed with a headache and woke up with it - not a good sign.

Okay Jen - what college do you go to???

NCIS question??? How did a English doctor and an Israli agent end up on the team?? We are only occational watchers and have missed some of the details over the years?

It's nice to know I'm one of the oldsters but not by much!!! I'll fit in fine.

I don't know for sure, Susan, but I'd say that in the adult age group (18 and over to include Jen!) that at least half of us fall into the over 40 set. I think it's going to be a great group, though. Lots of kids of various ages, a nice mixture of adults. And from all over too....California, Florida, Massachusetts, Ohio, Indiana, Georgia, Washington, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Connecticut, Illinois as well as Canada and Great Britain! And 45 days away!!!!
