I have never been to Florida, but Susan, I am thinking since we wear shorts and sweatshirts here in the winter, it is going to be very warm to us. Good thing you are not an English Teacher. You would have a field day with that first sentence. I cringed (sp?) as I wrote it.

If we get to be someone famous, I want to be Saima Hyiak. DH says she is the only other woman in his life. I told him wishful thinking. Have you guys seen the movie "Fools Rush In" Saima and Mathew? Well that is kind of story as far as the difference in families ... But there was no need for us to get married we were just fools. Good thing though we will be celebrating in a couple of weeks 11 years.

We go to Florida quite a bit over the holidays (WDW, of course!) I remember being really warm, temps in the 70s and the kids swimming in the evenings. I also remember FREEZING--lows around 40. It all depends on what cold fronts are around and how far south they get.

My strategy is usually to have mostly light clothing, but bring at least one sweatshirt/jacket for everyone. When we go to WDW we stay at DVC so have laundry facilities. All I can say is that if we have a long cold snap this time, be kind. Pretend you don't notice I'm wearing the same sweater AGAIN!

Suppose, I should get off here and into the shower. We get to go to an 80th Birthday Party today on DH side of family. So I guess I shouldn't look like I dragged my part mexican butt out of a trailer and threw on my barn clothes, huh?

That someone was ME!! (I invited the celebs on our cruise in response to a post by Paula.) I'm thinking she's coming....do you think she'll bring Simon, Randy, Bo Buice?

I know, I need a life. But we unexpectedly got the afternoon free. My family is watching the Falcons on TV, and I'm doing . So it's move a load, check the threads, put a load away, check the threads.

I am going to get off of my ...uh...chair in a bit and go workout.

But yes, I guess I am the Julia McCoy.

Hello everyone,
Nice sunny hot day today. Dh and Michael went to a Birthday party with about 30 kids from the football team and hear I sit....cleaning...BLAH...

Reading the posts I have noticed that we are a piece of work...we have a group with Epilepcy, Diabetes, Lupus, ADHD, Pre- Melanoma (hope they got it all also) , sun deprived, Chronic pain, ....and who knows what else...O'yes and KIDS! Sounds like this cruise is just what is needed.

Have noticed that Dee has not been here lately and not much of Jen either ?

We have a beach house in Daytona, one hr from WDW and in Dec. it is fairly warm in daytime and usually will drop down and get cold in the P.M. I would suggest that you have a pair of pants cause could be cold during day also...near the water. WDW is inland so stays a little warmer. Just as Sheerena mentioned.

I still have not ordered my shirt/shirts...I better get to it . Just waiting to see if DH and DS's want one. And also have not decided if I want to make or bye. And the desin and size shirt to order...I know "Just Do It"!!!!1

Have been typing and cleaning for the last 1 hr...I guess it is time to send this

MY, my seems many of us are doing the same thing...a little cleaning a little posting.

My DH is in a funk. Total winter blues. Hates his karate (2nd degree black belt and he teaches 5 days a week), hates his job ("don't they see how good I am"), hates the house (it sooo messy nobody ever cleans but him - okay I hate to clean) Blah, blah, blah.

I keep telling him stick it out 47 days until vacation. But hoping to make him feel better the kids and I are cleaning while he is out today. Both my kids are getting along right now - possible cause they are made about the same thing - me pushing them to clean!

Hope DH cheers up--I know how he feels, it's like someone said...it's the "again-ness" of the things you do that can get to you. He needs to join us here--never a dull moment!

Yup, I've been cleaning too. Just reorganized the panty since the kids haven't noticed I put all the plasticwear in a new spot, they've been shoving it where it doesn't belong. I wondered where it all went to. So now that I can walk into the room again I guess I need to hit another spot.... maybe my closet... nah, don't want to ruin a good day.

Clocks! That's a good thing to go and do.

And yes, on the shirts, Just Do It! (One way or the other.) I'm afraid about trying the iron-on thing on the front. If I do it wrong.... But I will--some day when I have nerve!

Julia McCoy was the hostess girl on The LOVE Boat show...I was being teased about being her when I said I'd invited the celebs. And I don't think I'll hold my breath for that free cruise just yet.....but it WOULD be nice!...

Angela, all the boards woke up yesterday to threads where Ty Pennington from Extreme Makeover Home Edition was hyping some sort of surprise. We don't know if it is really him. So then if you go to those threads, (there's one on the Cruise Line and there's one on the Community and there's one pretty much everywhere!) all of these "celebrities" have been popping in, also with references to the upcoming surprise. Very intriguing! The threads all start with "Good morning whatever thread!"

What shirts did you get ? did they mention anything on them about being pre shrunk?

They don't say they are pre-shrunk. I got ts for DH and Kev, but older boys wanted ringer. Then I got the ladies. They are true to size, but if you are close or worried about shrinking, order up a size. The image on the back appears to be pretty good and permanent.

I found all my shorts today, washed them and put them aside. Never been anywhere warm over Christmas. How warm should I expect??? Find my 2 no sleeved shirts I haven't worn since I moved to WA 11 years ago, or keep to my T-shirts?

Susan, last cruise once we sailed past Puerto Rico it just turn totally tropical. Low/mid 80's that tropical humidity which was too bad at all. St Lucia was done right HOT!!! The day of sail away was pleasant, a little cool for swimming, but a nice day none the less. On CC Day we had the only weather the entire cruise that was less than perfect. It was overcast with a cold wind and WAAAAY to cold to swim, which was OK since a storm that came in the night before ripped out all the shark nets.
