Dave would say that's your problem right there! He refuses to shop there at all. He bouoght a laptop there a few years back and when the monitor started having problems he took it in for repair. He was told they would have to send it out. It was gone for over a month and when it came back they charged him several hundred dollars and it wasn't repaired at all, it still had the same problem it had before he had sent it in. He took it back and got the same song and dance. So he took it to a local place and was told that it probably needed some part or other. So he found one on ebay, bought it and had this shop replace it. It has worked fine ever since. Annoying.

The air seemed pretty clear today and have been gone all day so have not seen how contained they have the fires...may be out.

I was gone early to set up for the Fall Festival at school and then worked there till 2:30 ,went to football game which started 1 hr lateat 4:00 then back to school to help clean up. Im bushed...

Sorry disappeared for a minute..My MaryKay Director just called so was talking with her for 15 minutes...so this post may at this time be behind..

From experience - don't fool yourself...this will happen again and again and again. Our attendance secretary says she always knows when a big project is due...absences are way up . Do parents really think letting them stay home to avoid turning in an assignment that was due teaches them anything?? My kids stay up and finish - I got to bed - and then they go to school. If it isn't done, they pay the price. BUT I'm a mean mom ::cop: and a teacher

I agree that is why he had to stay up and finish and go to school the next day...would for sure do it again if I let him stay home!

This is the first time in 16 years I have had to deal with the "fall back" part of daylight savings time. Now I remember why I didn't like it! I have been up since 5am! My body said it was 6am which was still too early, but at least it was 6 and not 5!

Good morning Kat! (And everyone!)

You sure are an early riser! My body has no trouble getting the extra hour of sleep in the morning. I do hate that it gets dark earlier at night, but since we've been going to the bus stop in the pitch dark for weeks now, I"ll like having some light then...

It's going to be a nice day here today...sunny and near 70--we thought we were going to a corn maze today, but I got the date wrong and it is NEXT weekend so all of a sudden we have an open day....

Of course next weekend is a Lacrosse tournament for DS14 and we don't know our schedule so things could get interesting then... but hey, only one conflict? We'll figure it out!

Have you guys been watching all of the stuff on all of the DisBoards about Ty and the other celebrities making playful posts? Oprah, Ty, Donald Trump, the Tag Fairy, Paris Hilton, Kelly Ripa, Tommy Lee, etc. etc. They all refer to something BIG that is coming up... can't wait to see what it is and how this all plays out. It seems obvious that the people at the DIS have something to do with it, the celebs all joined in August and have tags.

I know in the past we have had Susan Egan & Jennifer Hudson onboard for Trips!
Any word on whats going on?

Hey do you think those celebrity postings are real??? I saw a post from Oprah, and Kelly Picklar and of course Ty Pennington. I suppose one never knows but with all internet chats you really never know what and who you have on the other end.

Denise, I was reading one thread where there was speculation that they weren't because a) they all had the same join date and b) Suri Cruise was one of the celbrities and who has ever heard of an infant that could post to the internet?!

If it was early April I'd say it was definitely an April fool's joke. It is so easy to lie on the internet so I just don't know. I'd like to think it is real but I have my doubts at this point.

I agree- sort of thought why would Ty Pennington be on the Boards first thing Sat. a.m. - don't real celebs sleep in and are pampered by their staff??

Sleeping in??? what's that? Feel like I haven't been able to do that since my dd 8 came along.

I was really happy with how the backs of my shirts turned out but I washed them last night because they got a little yellow from being ironed and the front iron-on that I did on mine has started to peel a bit at the edges. I am letting them hang dry and then I am going to try to iron it down some more. I washed them in cold water so that shouldn't have done anything. If that doesn't work I may have to order one for myself and do a regular iron-on for the front. DD doesn't want the front iron-on on her shirt.

I don't think I have ever been able to sleep in! Of course, being a diabetic since I was 9 years old might have something to do with that. I was on a strict schedule for when I had to have shots until about 12 years ago so that meant every single morning I had to be up at the same time no matter what day of the week. You don't exactly break that habit after 20 some years!

Was it hard to do the iron on yourself??

I think I can scan a picture onto a transfer sheet and then iron on.

Do you think washing inside out may also help prevent the peeling??
