I'm thinking Bronwen's middle child may be almost too old for the teenage book...right Bronwen? Do they have a sequel for young adults?

By the way, I'm about 1/3 of the way through the book--it reads pretty easily, but I have several things going at once...and with the boards..... but I DO think it is a very good book. We were in the middle of a rant the other night from our teen. He left to go upstairs, and I just held the book up for my husband to see. He laughed, which was good, because he had been about to explode in reaction to our son's explosion.

It can be dangerous being surrounded by so much testosterone!

My middle schooler is about 10 minutes late coming home on the bus. I'm just guessing things are backed up because of the rain....hopefully?

Okay so to add to my day the glass guy says" that will be $160.00 please to replace the glass to tempered glass...I again thought to myself since I am paying for this ****. So know need to either get one side fixed for $50.00 and make sure that the staff realizes that ADULTS only should remove from shed to Dance or where ever because is reg.glass...or find a brand new one that hasTempered glass $200-400, pay for it and right it off..

When will I learn to keep my BIG MOUTH SHUT!!!! loolks like its just gona be one of those 4 letter word days

Happy B-day to you!!!! do the birthday dance! To Nick and Julie...
So I called the principle of the school and he said that he will take the Machine and be sure only adults move it...so it will cost us $50.00 instead.

Yuckity Yuck...2 new fireds burning here in SanDiego..smoke everywhere. Had to close all the windows in the house and turn on the A/C. Eyes burning to much!

Must go to Chiropracter...in a little while...Yum I love going to the Chiropracter. Michael goes also everyother week,has done wonders for his "Tic's" due to Tourette Syndrom.

Hi everyone! Hope you CA folks aren't getting too warm from the fires. What a mess.

Just got home. After work went to visit some friends, then DH, DD and I got dinner, and just now got home. Only 8:30 and DD asleep already! Poor tired kid.

I am tired too. Have to go to Indy tomorrow to help a friend move. Been cold and rainy all day, but it is supposed to clear up by morning so hopefully it will be better for tomorrow.

We went to the Rainforest Cafe for Julia's birthday. I get the same thing every time - China Island Chicken Salad- YUM!!

Started not feeling well again today. Sinuses here too, Kat, and didn't help that the baby is getting over coxsackie virus and was totally miserable and crying all day. Dr gave me Singular (sp?) to take if my allergies started acting up again. Usually I can't take that kind of stuff but I am feeling desperate. So far, no negative reaction so I may have found some relief here.

Wow not too many posts, but lots to catch up on!

First -

The rain, the snow, the smoke, the fires, the earthquakes... we are going to need a vacation.

Well, as far as Christmas, our family usually participates and organizes many events for our community and my DH company.

This weekend I am the Chairman for the Children's Halloween Party at the Eagles. Sat. 11-1 Then it is off to Football at 1.

Sunday DH Aunts 80th Birthday party. Then the week starts with the regular routine Football practice (2x) Soccer Games (2x) Football Game. Then we are hosting a "Ladies Night out" at the Eagles on Saturday the 4th. DH Company Bowling Party is also on Saturday trying to figure how I am going to be at 2 places at the same time. Company Christmas Party on the 2nd which I am responsible for purchasing the gifts and designing invitations to go out next week. I am the Chairman for the Children's Christmas Party which happened to be rescheduled for the 16th as the club was double booked. So I am getting it all laid out and someone else will have to execute the program. Additionally, our family is involved in preparing and serving a community christmas dinner on christmas day. We do this through the Eagles and usually have a couple other families to help us. However, this year we are going to be with you guys! But we still have to help get it organized before we leave. My DH thinks I am so anal but lucky for him I have many of these programs laid out in either a powerpoint pres or an "Event Manual." So hard for me to live outside of my HR policies and procedures manual mentality. Probably good for anyone trying to fill in.

Oh and I forgot we have DH Birthday on 12/10, DMIL 12/6, DBIL 12/7, Neice 11/30. Our Anniversary 11/11. It is our golden anniversary celebrating our 11 year on the 11 month of the 11 day. Oh yeah and Thankgiving is in there too! Ok so I am feeling a bit overwhelmed.

PTA obiligations and volunteering. Safe & Civil Committee. Don't these people understand I have a cruise coming up. Well I have already started packing too. I need to find the charger for our walkie talkies. That reminds me I need to put the camera on the charger. Oh I think I am losing my mind . Well thanks for listening. This could make a out of me. Ok so when is Ladies night out on the cruise

Good Morning! It is way too early to be up on a Saturday morning but my head is pounding ! I hate my sinuses.

I see the Ty Pennington has a thread on the main board. Hmm. Have to watch that and see that it's all about....

Time to start keeping an eye on the Halloween stuff for good deals on pirate goodies! Going to Indy today so I am going to check out the Disney store too and see what, if anything, they might have on sale.

Need to do the cruise shirts too. Mary Ann, did you only order for you and Julia? None for DH, eh? I am still debating if Dave is going to want one. I don't think it is "safe" to ask him yet... . I may get out the iron and do those this morning since I am up and no one seems to be on here yet (of course not, it is 6am eastern time on a Saturday, why would anyone in their right mind be awake and on the DIS boards when they could and should still be snug in their beds????). I'll let you all know how the front piece comes out with the fabric iron on as I think that is all I have to work with right now.

Oy! Well, the t-shirts look great! Sam really liked hers, until she realized the picture was on the back! Then she got all upset and told me it looked stupid! I told her that they all looked like that and that Julia and Kevin and the other kids were going to have theirs on the back too but that didn't help. Kids!

I know nobody cares about the difference here but me, but don't you have alligators, not crocodiles? (See, just when I think I know something....I THINK that is what they have in Florida.) They have a lot of them on the islands where we vacation in South Carolina, and my son even has a funny story about coming face to face with one while retrieving a golf ball! (The same Summer he came face to face with a very large Barracuda snorkeling in the netted area at Castaway Cay!) We thought he was exaggerating until an adult who overheard him telling us confirmed the existence of this creature!

Depending where she lives in Florida it is very possible she might have a salt water species of croc in South Florida. Most of Florida does have the common alligator throughout the state. I spend 90% of my time on the water working in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina and have had numerous encounters with alligators both in and out of the water. Unless people have been feeding them, they are generally more frightened of you then you are of them. I will try and bring a picture of the 13 foot gator we harvested last year during gator season. Living on the St. Johns river, they are a familiar sight along with ospreys, manatees and SNAKES!!!!

No, no shirt for Jimmy. I don't even have to ask. I know the answer. Just so the cards are on the table, you should all know that DH affectionately refers to us all as "The Cult" .
