Good morning everyone. DD just posted to the kid's board. Wouldn't you know it, no school today and she is up at 5:30! :rotfl2: Today and tomorrow are her fall break. She will be spending time with the surrogate grandma. One of DH's best friends died in a car wreck a year and a half ago and he was an only child and never had kids so Samantha has become their surrogate granddaughter. Marcia loves her to death and Sam has fun at their place so while Dave is teaching today and tomorrow Sam will spend time with Grandma Marcia which is fine with both of them. Then tomorrow afternoon she gets to come and trick-or-treat at my office.

Since I don't have to get her to school this morning I am going to leave early and run up to Wal-Mart and exchange something that I have been needing to do since the weekend and haven't been able to get to. Perfect time to do it :).

However I can't help but think having the DIS Meet "during" the sail away is there is just too much going on at the same time

So how about right after?

Gosh, I feel so bad for all of you. We have this horribly long drive to get to the port, no planes......

takes us about 30 minutes!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Yeah, you and Judy!!!! :sunny: It would be nice to be that close but I wouldn't want to live in Florida during the summer! Way to hot and humid for me!

yeah there isn't much time between the sailaway party and main dining

This is Disney's latest announcement on the holiday cruises... :cool1:

All That Glitters is Holiday Magic Aboard Disney Cruise Line

“Snow” Flurries Forecast for Disney’s Private Island, Castaway Cay......etc.

.

I LOVE that!

I"m so ready to go....except for all of the things I need to do between now and then! :rolleyes1

OK, so our shirts came from Cafepress yesterday! :yay: :yay: They look great, and I'm now drinking from my mug with a picture of the ship on it.....sigh..... :sunny: I will say though that when in doubt I ordered a size larger, and I'm glad I did. The teenagers both chose the ringer t and it looks great. Now to deal with putting Mickey on the front! ::MickeyMo

Kat, it's nice for you and surrogate Grandma that DD can spend time with her. Sounds perfect! I have some returning to do too, but don't know if I can make myself do it today. I think I'll give myself a break. I've been to 3 Kohls in 2 days taking care of Winter jackets for boys. LONG story but has to do with they're picky, they've grown, I found something they liked so then had to go back for size and color choices (two days before there were lots--already picked over, so I got what I could.) They picked, and now rest goes back.

I'm sure most of you are in bed, and Kat is at Wal Mart, so I'm off to do my stuff for the day. :moped:

Hmm, yeah, I forgot about the dinner thing :). Maybe later in the evening then? After late dining?

Yeah, I took back the iron-on sheets I don't like and bought two packs of the fabric ones. After doing my Jack shirt I love the fabric ones that Wal-Mart sells in their craft section. I got two packs so I can do our DIS shirts and the shirt fronts, plus DD is still deciding on whether or not to do a shirt for pirate night, and I may decide to do another shirt of some type for myself and if I do any others it will definitely be with those iron-ons.

Mu first summer here I thought I was going to die from the heat. But you do get use to it. My hair doesn't frizz like it use to either. We've just entered the 'reason for living in Florida' season. No humidty and the temp is a balmy 80. These few months make it worth it, it's pure heaven. Throw all the windows open, sleep at night with the crisp night air, wake to the singing birdies. Get lulled to sleep by the croaking of the crocodiles. Ahhhhhhh.

What is the diffence in them? Is one more fabricie and the other more paperier?

Croaking of the crocodiles????
Yup, gotta family that lives behind our house. The little baby ones are soooo cute, they have this teeny little croak.

The normal ones are more plastic and the pictures just don't seem to print on them very clearly. I have done three or four and I just don't like the quality of the printed pictures. I did the one on the fabric iron-on and it looks amazing. The surface you print on is fabric and it absorbs the ink better and, to me, just looks so much better for the photograph type iron-ons at least. You will see it on the cruise and can judge for yourself. My other ones seem to be a bit blurry (the picture on the computer isn't blurry but by the time I iron it on it looks that way) but the same picture on this type of iron-on looks so much better to me. Just my opinion, though. Others may have a different opinion :)

Do they come into your yard? I'd be afraid to let my daughter play in the back yard if they are that close!

They would have to push through quite a lot of trees and bushes to get to the yard. I've never seen one in OUR yard, but those who have water come right up to their yards do. Once they get to a certain size they move them some place safer. We had a real problem with them for a while because the house builders were feeding them their left over lunches. I guess they felt since they didn't have to deal with the aftermath it would be a cool thing to do. :confused3 We've never had any trouble with the ones that live near us, I know they have on the lake over from us because of the feeding issues. And you never let your dog walk near the water.

We do have other animals that come into our yard. We have a raccoon that terrorizes the neighbors trash. He and the animal have had a running battle since we moved in. Why he doesn't just put it in his garage is beyond me. But he tries to find ways to outwit it. :rotfl: We also have wild pigs and armadillos and tons of bunnies. And snakes. The snakes always seem to find me and I'm terrifed of them. So far none of them are dangerous and either my hubby or sons always put them out in the conservation area (I think they come back to torment me).

We have just about every bird imaginable and I love that part. I sit in the hammock and watch them with my binnoculars. Last week there was something dead in the water and we had hundreds of vultures waiting for it to land. Looked like a convention. :lmao:

Jen- you were wondering if we would reach post 10000 - doesn't look like it will be a problem to me :)
