Thistle and Robin, the central design on the sign is the design Jen did for the back of the shirts. She also has a small Mickey with a ship's wheel for the front. The latest discussion on that was that Dee is going to have cafepress do them and we will have a choice of regular t-shirts in white or white ringer tees (with either black or blue) or a ladies' more fitted t-shirt in white for those of us who prefer a more femine still, and kid's sizes as well. Cafepress should be able to do the back portion but because of Mickey they won't do the front. Jen will make him available and we can do him as an iron-on ourselves.
I'm glad you remembered it that way too! :thumbsup2 Yes, there were a few styles Dee had on cafepress, all with white background. They were going to print the back design and we were going to iron on the Mickey on front if we wanted.

The shirts were reasonable--price depended on the style chosen. (Some of us liked the ladies cut with raglan sleeves for ourselves and it was a dollar or two more.)

Last I remember Dee had told Jen she needed a high resolution image. Don't know what happened after that. :confused3 Anyone???

Ok, yet another version of the sign...Name on the bottom, beneath the date. DIS underlined. Comments? Questions? Suggestions?? It is posted on the yahoo board as the Latest Edition.
I'm agreeing with the latest posts--the new one, the new one, the new one! (Do I get three votes?) Do I need to change my vote?

OK, I know I'm posting three times in a row, but I have much to respond to after you all were so busy last night! :surfweb:

Angela, I admire your determination. I am very bad at losing weight, and 95 pounds is awesome, whether or not you lose one more ounce you should be proud. :cheer2: :cheer2: And if anyone even hints at a Kool-Aid comment, they'll have the Disboard crew to deal with!

Robin, I know what you mean about treadmill/elliptical. I got where I just couldn't stand the thought of getting on another one. I do Jazzercise now because it is fun, so I actually enjoy going. And of course you meet people there and look forward to seeing them. :dance3:

Susan, I think it is great that you school has so many activities. Our middle school sports are limited pretty much to football, basketball, um....I don't know what else officially. Luckily we have good rec resources (like the neighborhood tennis programs, also neighborhood swim teams). Some interested dads are also building an official middle school Lacrosse team which is actuallly a feeder for the High school team. Not done through the school but will be supported by the school.

Finally, Robin, my 14 year old likes South Park! :happytv: Does that tell you something about why he isn't popular with teachers??? :teacher: In fact, when we were talking yesterday I teased him that he couldn't go around acting like the people on South Park. :smokin: I don't forbid him watching it, just remind him that those people aren't exactly "polite society." Having a high school brother and plenty of friends who could rival the South Park gang any day I just figure....well, you know.

Speaking of him, I'm off to my "coffee talk."

Yup!

Dee, did you and Jen get the high resolution image issue worked out??? Please let us all know when these are available to order!!!

Jen, when they are ready will you be able to send us the Mickey image??

Thanks ladies!!

I finally figured out how to view this in class. So I'm at school "getting ready for a parent meeting - not a bad kid (we don't have those  - and I have spent 30 minutes connecting this all into my school computer. Now to make it a favorite and I'm done. I can check in at planning periods and lunch and before coaching.

Wow Angela, you should be so proud. I'm only 5'1" and was up to 195 lbs but I have cut out snacking and watched what I have been eating and am now down to 165. My goal is another 10lbs by the cruise. may or may not happen but my husband is going to have to let me buy clothes! I have gone from an 18 to a 16. Working down to that 14 by christmas.

I guess I better go to that meeting...

Susan

I just realized I got on to an old account under my ID and not my husbands. Sorry. I don't know how to fix or readjust it. My husband is xmjackson and I am xsjackson.

I will work on fixing it or you will just knnow which ones come from junior high and which from home :confused3

Susan

Wow, Angela, good job on the weight loss. I admire your willpower.

Another great idea having CafePress do the lettering. They have nice shirts and we can all pick out the stye we like.

*getting excited!!*

I second that!!! Besides, I saw the pictures of you and Dee and the kids. You look great!! Nothing like Kool-Aid at all!! Don't even think it!!!

Thanks Guys - Off to start our busy day. Drop DS off, then take care of horse, (his leg is starting to finally show real signs of improvement), back to school to help out, off to Eagle past president luncheon, maybe a workout, Pick up DS, Homework/Dinner hour, Soccer game, Bedtime routine, workout & Bed. I am exhausted already. Ok so I am off :drive:

Susan, sounds like me. 5'2" and about 150 lbs. I have hovered in that range (+/- 5 lbs) for almost 10 years no matter what I have tried (exercise, different diets, etc) so I finally gave up and figure this is where I am supposed to be. Being diabetic I can't go on most of the fad diets anyway so I am pretty content to stay here. Means I don't have shop for clothes too often either which is good because I hate trying clothes on! DH laughs because he has friends who complain constantly about how their wives are always buying new clothes and are always out shopping but I just don't want to do that. Mind you, that was before I discovered crocs! I now have a pair of the original crocs, a pair of the primas and a pair of the Nile sandals, all of which are going on the cruise!

I love those too. I call them plastic clogs - dates me doesn't it :)

Bread is my passion not chocolate. But chocolate is good and nessesary on some of 'those' days.

I guess I better get back to work.

Susan

Seems so easy to put the weight on, blink and you have 5 pounds. Whereas taking it off is soooo painful. I'm trying to decide if I should just be happy witht the extra weight or work it off. I seem to starve and starve and nothing happens. I just feel like a sausage, about ready to blow, so this can't be right.

Clogs :rotfl2: I use to have like 4 pairs of them when I was younger...like 36 years or so ago....talk about dating back...also wore peanut pants and mini skirts...I was also a real hippie! Even streaked ..lol.. played my Coustic guitar with my friends all day long, drank Boonsfarm (age 13 yes)and lots of other things that I should not mention at that age.
When I was 17 My friend and I hitchhicked from N.J to California and back for the summer. We had a great time, was in a Motorcycle gang, gogo dancer...gee I was crazy when I was younger, but always very nice to everyone no matter how wild I got!!
See what you did with the clogs story...lol...I can say I had a wild growing up but put myself through Nursing school, became a charge nurse and worked Labor and Delivery for 22 years. And also an involved parent with education and volunteering and so on.. Life is Good...great country America... :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Hey Jen, any idea what the Key West dive will cost? I am trying to figure out my budget for excursions, etc so I know how much more money I will need :lmao: .

Yeah, I wore clogs too. Scary group, aren't we??? I know I'm old enough to be Jen's mom! Heck, one of my SIL's is several months younger than I am and her oldest just turned 25 and she was out of high school when he was born!! God, now I feel old! :flower3:

OK, I wore clogs too--but they're kinda back in style now, so that makes us cool! :smooth:

Here's the REAL question--how many of you are, like me, waiting to buy your cruise crocs until the Disney ones come out? They look like the regular ones, except have ::MickeyMo shaped cutouts instead of round holes!! They are supposed to be shipping them in November. I talked to the people we know who own a little store nearby that sells crocs, but he is only getting kids sizes. The adult may be harder to score. Still, I'm a determined woman on a mission. I only have the crocs sandals, and was going to get a pair of the "clog" style for the Winter and the cruise. (Good for walking, good for the beach, what's not to love!) Ever since I heard about the DIS ones, I've been chomping at the bit!

If I get them and my cute Cafepress shirt, I'm ready to go! :thumbsup2

Hi Guys

I am having a really :sad2: kind of day and need a :grouphug:

My dad has been admitted to the hospital about 2 hours ago with a heart attack. They said he had an angina attack last week, but now tests show he had a heart attack and he was admitted with more chest pain this afternoon. He's 80 and I hope he'll be ok. Being 2 hours away from there and not knowing what is going on is very hard. Can't reach my sister, brother or mother as I am sure they are all there. My mother wants me to stay at home until they know what is going on for sure. She doesn't want me to "stress" out over this. She has got to be kidding!!! NOT stress - :confused3

I guess this is one of those time when having chocolate despite the diet is called for.

On a positive note only 49 days until we leave for WDW!! That also means only 49 days to loose 10 lbs.

Take care

Denise

Ok I am wearing clogs right now!

Must be a boring day in Junior High. One of the 9th graders pulled the firealarm during their lunch and we spend 15 minutes out in 50 degree temps and light drizzle. Uggh.

Hi Denise...well that sucks!!! so sorry to hear that your dad is ill! That must be very hard to stay away and sit and wait! I know that a heart attack is a heart attack but did they tell you the severity of it yet...was it a Mild attack or more severe? How is your Mom holding up? 80 years old that is a long time...he sounds like a strong man! I will add your family into our family nightly prayers...if comfort food was ever needed....Keep us up on how he is doing!!!I am sending a few angels your way..

Robin

Gotta love those middle schoolers! :lmao: And remember, clogs are back! :smooth:

Denise, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad....I know the waiting has to be agonizing! Your mom is sweet to try to keep you from worrying, but of course you are. I'm sending some pixie dust your way, pixiedust: and adding a prayer. I'm starting the group hug :grouphug: now!

I hope you hear good news soon!
