So where is everyone today????? :confused3

I was at work with little time to get on the internet and a stupid all staff meeting for most of the afternoon, grrrrr :crazy2:

Today I met with the manager of a travel agency about 3 miles down the street. It looks like I will be starting an internship there on July 5th. :dogdance: Tomorrow I will be taking the Travel Agent Proficiency exam as the final in my travel agency operations class. Then two more finals this week and done with classes until fall.

Last Wednesday Bryan had his 8th grade graduation. I think he received the most awards:

He spoke for the class, presenting the class gift to the teacher. His best friend received the Student of the Year award. It was held at Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood, which was very nice. There is snow up there year round.

Kat - thanks for the excursion pages. I am looking forward to seeing Cars, too. Bryan might go with a bunch of kids from his class. He won't want me to stay so I will have to promise to sit as far away from him and his friends as possible. ;)

Carol, congrats on the internship and congrats to Bryan on his awards.

Yeah, CARS was a lot of fun.

I have to get out there and finish those pages, just haven't been that motivated. Haven't been sleeping well (up at 3am again today, ugh) and have had a constant headache since Saturday. I just want to find a dark corner and sleep for a week!!

The 21st? Wow, that's Wednesday, isn't it??

Garry, it depends on what type of coffee you drink. We do have some and a coffee maker so you should be good.

We are doing our neighborhood rummage on the 24th but will be done by 2:00 or so, so maybe we can get together for dinner on Saturday or something? Vicki still has my cell number, doesn't she?

Hi Everyone.

Sorry to be a slacker in the posting dept. I had the week from Hell, but in the end, everything has turned out great (don't ya just love when that happens).

First, we found our kitty last Wednesday. She ended up on my neighbor's doorstoop in the torrrential rain storm we had. She was in VERY bad shape, so we didn't even tell Julia we found her in case she didn't make it. All four of her legs were borken and she had a compound fracture in one. Most of her little toes were dislocated and some of her claws were ripped out. We didn't find out till Monday if she would make it or not. They were able to fix her up and she is home now and doing very well...considering. She can walk, but is in alot of pain. We have NO idea what happened....hit by a car or maybe the fox chased her up a tree and she had been stuck there for the two weeks she was missing. Who knows...too bad kittys can't talk. Needless to say, Julia is a very happy camper. Me Too :thumbsup2 !!!

Then we opened up the pool last week and the pump broke, the heater won't turn on and there's not enough pressure to run the automatic vac :rolleyes1 :sad2: :furious: . Cha-Ching

On top of that I had my cancer walk last Friday. I raised $720. My goal was $1000, but maybe next year. Julia and I pulled an all-nighter. Took me two days to recover. Geesh..not as young as I used to be.

Oh, Yeah!!! Between the cat, the pool, foot Dr prescriptions for Jimmy that insurance doesn't cover, Florida this summer, boy am I getting grief from my other half :goodvibes :confused3 .

But, even if we have to break the bank, we will be cruisin' come Christmas Time - priorities, ya know :rotfl: .

Well, I thought we were doing Allegro Pineapple Beach Resort in Antigua (we did it in 2004 and loved it), but I am reading that the cab drivers are gouging tourists for the ride over there, so I might have to re-think that one.

What are other people doing in Antigua??

So far we are probably doing....

Key West... Southernmost Point, Butterfly Farm and meet for drinks at the Flying Monkey in the afternoon. I don't want to go right from the ship since I do want to have a few drinks and I think lunch time is a bit too early for that.

St Maarten...Little Divi Bay Beach. They have water sports and stuff. Then Moho Sunset Beach Bar for lunch and watch the jumbo jets (supposed to be a pretty cool thing to do). I haven't had time to look into it yet, but I saw something about a Carribean Duck Tour. Has anyone ever heard of this???

Antigua....Maybe Allegro :confused3 , still deciding.

St Thomas...Megan's Bay

Morning all,

Glad to hear about kitty Bubbles. :cheer2:

My neice is coming in tomorrow- lots to do. The girls are sooooo excited to see their cousin. Have a shoot this afternoon, gotta get the fathers day presents done, clean the playroom, schmooze a new client,go grocery shopping, find something for girls night out :teeth: and remember to tell my husband I love him.

So I will say TTFN.

cheers-D

Yeah, I'm with ya there! Trying to scrape together every last available penny for that estimated tax deposit tomorrow; don't want to get stuck again like last year.

I just bought some very nice Mickey luggage from disneyshopping.com - can't wait to use it at Disneyland (and of course the cruise). They are having some pretty good deals right now.

Mary Ann - great news about your kitty. I just hope she heals up good as new.
