GaRry-- No I know you guys were a ton of fun--I just wasn't able to connect before the cruise. We were supposed to go and then cancelled because my father was diagnosed with lung cancer. He only made it 4 weeks and at the last minute we rebooked to get my mom away from home for the first holiday. Once onboard I figured out that you were the "FUN DIS people". That is to say not you specifically but the group as a whole. -- We observed from the sidelines and were jealous at how much fun you guys had. We had fun too but just not with a group. We had a lot of other things on our mind but the cruise was a very healing time.

So do you think we can have more returners than last time? CC meet definitely won't be in the bar.

So do you already have events set up? Are you doing stocking stuffers? Is there a way to get caught up on all that sort of stuff?

One more thing---there are very few cabins left available--- Atleast until after the final payment----anyone know if we can later switch cabins to a better location once they become available if they do???? Just happy to get any room.

For all you scuba folks, I have some questions....

DH was looking into some of the equipment he is going to need. He needs a 2XL buoyancy compensating vest and the store here is listing it at $600!! Is that normal??

What about wetsuits? He is looking at about $1400 for total for the equipment and that doesn't include a tank and he already has mask and fins. Help! That really eats into the budget for what we had to spend for vacations.....

um.. that's alot! Try using diversdirect.com . they are super fast and run tons of specials each week. And a tip for your husband, you never take your own tank or weights. The weights just put your luggage over the limit, and the tank is considered an explosive device. I didn't even pay $600 for my digital camera housing! Paid $899 for the whole package (camera, housing, light). They are definetely ripping you off.

i don't think we have anything planned. I am designed special T-shirts (2 different designs) for the group to have. Garry will get them made once we finalize the designs. Now that i am off grounding, it wil be easier to work on them. lol.

And I am glad to see someone besides me calling this the Christmas Cruise. I know it is officially the 10 Day Holiday Cruise, but, I just can't get out of the idea that it will be CHRISTMAS! A happy time of the year no matter your faith.

I spent last weekend at Lake Fork, about 4 hours north of here. You bass fishermen and fisherladies will apprciate this- Landed a 7 pounder, a six pounder, and a 4 pounder, along with a few smaller ones. I wish I had my camera.

You know I had not even noticed that they had changed the name. Wasn't it called the Christmas cruise last time???? Oh well, to me I personally celebrate Christmas but despite that it is a governmental holiday on our calendars marked "Christmas" what is all the changing of the titles bit going on? It seems like all these politically correct titles are going to kill us.

What kinds of things are you guys looking forward to that you did before? Anything to avoid?

That sounds really cool ---now exactly how do we go about booking that group rasul??????

So that I have time to obtain good ones---how does the ornament exchange go---one per cabin or per person? Do kids get in on things or just us Winos or is that whinos.
