Heidi - I know there is a pirate excursion on St. Lucia (the Brig Unicorn). I think several of us are going to do the morning one. DH is going to do all the scuba excursions they offer plus the one on Key West with Jen's family!

OK Veteran Cruisers - Here is a question? We need to purchase a new digital camera. I am wanting something that is easy to use and will get the far away pictures that we may want to capture. With that said, I don't want to fork out a ton of money on the camera either. I can hear you thinking "you get what you pay for." So the best, most reasonable is what I am looking for.

If you could tell me your favorite camera and why that would be great.

I found information on a pirate museum on Key West that might be interesting. It is the Pirate Soul Museum. It is $12 for adults and $6 for kids. The site is http://www.piratesoul.com/ . I think I am also going to take a look at Mel Fisher's Maritime Museum on Key West. He is the one who found the Atocha, one of the ships from the 1622 Spanish Treasure Fleet. Sounds like a fun way to spend my day. DH will be diving and DD may or may not want to join me.

That is so cute, Kat! I don't know if I wanna make any...I keep hearing all these stories in the forum that signs and magnets and things were getting stolen from the doors. But people have been saying that if you put your name and/or your room number they don't usually get taken. So who knows...maybe if I have some down time after I quit my summer job I'll make a sign or two.

Yup, that's why my DISName and cabin number are on the bottom left corner. I have made sure all the ones I have done so far are personalized, usually with my DIS Name. Plus I am keeping the files for all my signs so if one gets stolen and I want to save a copy for some reason I will have them on my computer.

i wanted to make a sign that changes when you shift it to different angles. One would be the Magic in the caribbean and the other would be the Magic in snow at christmas time. But i don't know how to make them work.

You will probably have to go to a printing company that specializes in the lenticular stuff. I don't know of any way to do that on your own.

BTW, love the POTC II dollar count! DH was convinced it was going to bomb! Ha! shows what he knows!!!

yeah its a javascript image coded to pull stats from a boxoffice website. Took me 3 hours just to code, but since you like it, its worth it.
