Sorry, Rachel has been sick. Maybe she will get it out of her system now and be better for the rest of the year.

I am ready for a day on Castaway Cay too. It was funny, last weekend we went to Brad's niece's 1st b'day party. Someone there asked me how long it has been since our last cruise. I said it had been a long time. My MIL piped up and said it was last Christmas. I thought it had been way longer than that.

I have to take Rachel for gum surgery in a few minutes.

It does seem like it was much longer ago than Christmas...

How is your Rachel? I hope the surgery went well and she's not in any pain.

Surgery went okay. Her right side seems to be all healed up, but her left side still hurts alot. Brad took her in today to make sure it wasn't infected. They said it looks fine, that is is just taking longer to heal since they had to cut more away on that side. SHe is having a hard time eating. I think I will make her a milkshake tonight.

Just got home from a 7 day Alsakan cruise, it was nice but cold. The glaziers were pretty.

My next cruise is April 25,2009. A Disney cruise going to Torola, it is a new island for disney.

Glad you had a nice cruise Sharon. I am jealous you have another one planned. We don't have any in the works. We are talking about maybe doing one when the new ships come out though. We will just have to see.

Hello my cruise friends. We're experiencing some fall weather here and some winds. Tomorrow we leave for Disney Our reservations are Saturday to Saturday, but with a nineteen month old, we need to split up the drive. We're eating at Whispering Canyon, Garden Grill, 50's Prime Time, and Rainforest Cafe. I've never eaten at 50's or Rainforest.

We ate at a local restaurant and they had a character (Red Robin). He approached our table and John started crying. He turned and left without making it all the way over. I'm worried that John will be afraid of the characters this time. We printed pictures of him from the last trip with the characters. We'll see...

Susan, hope you have a great trip! How long is the drive? Hopefully, John won't be too scared of the characters. Red Robin is no where near as cool as Mickey Mouse.

Hi everyone. We're back. It really was a good trip. I was anticipating toddler melt downs and we really didn't have any. DH recorded 6 back to back episodes of Little Einsteins and mounted a DVD player to the back of John's chair in the car. It was wonderful, though I still hear the song in my sleep.

He did great with the characters. The only one he was a bit frightened of was Baloo. When I picked him up and stood next to Baloo, he was fine.

Cristi, with no stops, the drive is 9-10 hours. When you've got 3 kids who want to stop frequently, it can be much, much more. We had 9 people in our group. We took David's parents and my cousins. They have a 7 year old boy. Unfortunately, he was unable to get Rachel to ride more adventuresome rides. It was really a great trip. I'm sad to be home

We're going back in January. Probably 3-10 or something close to that. I'd love to meet up if anyone will be there then.

Hi Cristi,

I'm still around. I know Stacie cruise at Thanksgiving, but haven't heard from her since then. I also got an email from Patty saying things were well. I need to respond to her.

We just returned from a Disney trip Jan. 3-8 and have a 4 day cruise planned January 3, 2010.

How is your family? Do you have another cruise in the works?

We don't have any cruises planned right now. This summer I am hoping to go to DC again for vacation. We went about 4 years ago and there is so much that we still didn't get to see. I have two different uncles that live in the area so we would have a place to stay.

The family is good. Rachel is 13 now. So far not too many problems with her. Just the occasional moodiness. She is a good kid. Jacob is a good kid too, just a little harder to handle.

Hi everyone

It's been a long time since I've been on the boards. No current plans for another cruise for us. Mike's job situation is not good so we're in the save mode right now while he is still getting a paycheck.

Laura brings the subject up every once in a while but she knows money is tight. She's in second grade now and is preparing for her First Communion in April.
