12/15/07 DCL Pre-Christmas Western

Hi everyone,

I'm so sad our old thread hasn't been found. There were so many great pictures and announcements. This one just can't get going like the other one did.

Melissa...you're in your wedding month. How are you holding up?

Cristi...how was Rachel's camp?

Stacie...how's Andy? Walking yet? John is still very tentative. He was 11 months old yesterday!! His bangs are getting long. We go back to Disney in March. We're hoping to get his first haircut there. I told David we could put a hairbow in.

Hi Sharon.

Patty...how did you make that scrap book? My parents are going to NY for their 50th anniversary. I thought I'd try to make them one to remember it.

Lets get this thread going everyone. :dance3:

Shaun & I leave at 4:00am to head to the airport. Then its the wedding/honeymoon trip. I'm excited :)

I doubt I'll be able to sleep much tonight :cool1:

I didn't realize it was this close!!! Have a wonderful time. I wish you all the best. Please tell us all about it when you return.

Greetings from the frigid midwest. The temperatures have been all over the place this past couple of weeks. A week ago it was in the 60's then down in the 30's with rain, sleet, and snow the very next day. Currently its in the upper teens and low 20's. We can only hope that winter is over soon. Recent mild winters spoiled us. I'd love to be at Castaway Cay right now.

Below is a picture taken of Laura and Hannah in the Oceaneer Lab on Sunday when they were making flubber.

they almost look like sisters in this picture:cutie:

Hello everyone. It's good to see some new posts. Hannah and Laura do look like sisters in that picture.

I hope Melissa's wedding report will revive our thread.

Hey everyone! I am here. Sorry I haven't been posting much. When I got back from the funeral I was sick ( and down in the dumps). I think my cold might be going away. Rachel had a great time at outdoor lab.

We have 4 cabins reserved at a local Girl Scout camp for the weekend of April 18th. It is for a Unit campout. I am Service unit manager. The troop that was going to plan everything bailed on me last week and some of the troops that were going have also bailed. We had space reserved for 96 people and it looks like about 45-48 will be coming. And now I have 2 months to get everything planned. Once I come up with a theme though it shouldn't be that hard since they have food service up there.

Here is a picture from me for today. I can't remember what I posted before so hopefully I am not repeating. :)

Good luck to you with planning you scout camp trip

Great picture. This is the firstit was posted

Christy

Our girl scout troop is going camping the same weekend. Laura's in a small Catholic school and it's going to be an all school campout with our Daisy, Brownie, Junior and Cadette troops all going. They're not doing an all SU campout this year. Last year the SU campout was Mother's Day weekend, not by choice, but we advertised it as a Mother/Daughter Event and had a lot of the Mom's attend.

Our theme last year was The Amazing Race.

Right now our SU is gearing up for our 2nd Annual F.R.O.G (Father, Relative, or Other Guy) and Princess Dance. The girls are all excited. Some of our Dad's were looking forward to going until they realized that that was the night of the Kansas vs Kansas State basketball game. We may have some Dad's sneeking in radios and tvs.

Good luck planning your camping trip.

I need to get some more pictures loaded into photobucket so I can post some more.

Last year's SU campout was a big hit. We had about 90 people there from about 7 or 8 different troops. Our theme was reality tv, we had several activities related to different shows. This year we are down to 4 troops. I did hear from the leader of our Senior troop and some of them want to come and they want to plan it. So now we are up to about 53 people, maybe as many as 60. Each lodge holds 24 people and I have 4 reserved. I can drop some, but then I will lose the $75 deposit. I will probably end up dropping one cabin. Our field exec (or whatever they call themselves now) is trying to see if she has a troop or two from another unit that would want to come along too and take over the other lodge.

Here is a picture for today, not of the cruise, but when we were unit camping last May

 HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!
So good to see you back Cristi. I can understand you being down in the dumps. I do hope you're feeling better.

Hi Patty and Sharon.

I know I posted this on our old thread, but thought it would bring a smile on Valentine's day.

Hi all, the kids are out of school today. I am still in my pj's. It is nice. They want to go to the movies today, but I think we are going to have a hard time agreeing on anything.

Here is a picture for today.
