*12/13 Some News* 39 and Going Back at Christmas! A Dec. PTR

Thanks for the info on the Hipster. I was thinking that too actually, but wasn't sure.

I think you did great with your ADRs.

Thanks! I'm happy with them although I wish Le Cellier was a little earlier. I'm worried about seeing Illuminations.

Came over to read your ptr and see your Vera collection :thumbsup2

Thanks! It's quite a collection.

OOH!!!! Did you say a BINDER-THINGY??!!!! :rotfl:

Re the mailbag, well I could put my keys or my phone in it and it didn't weigh it down too much I don't think it had trouble clasping, but I was actually putting my phone on the inside, where the litle pockets are... I put my credit card, room card, etc. in the part that has the slots for such things, forgoing my regular wallet. I didn't bring it. I put sunglass case, handi-wipes, tissues (these are travel sized) my camera, hair clip, lip gloss, travel sunscreen, in the main bag part... that front flap pocket, I kept the day's receipts there.... you do have to open the flap to grab anything, so the front flap pocket is useful for whatever you want to grab quickly, but today I was running around and I did put my phone there, however I didn't notice any problem... But maybe that is because the other stuff was in the bag? I even cramed little purchases in it, and a small water bottle at one point!

Thanks for the report on the mailbag. I'm getting used to using it, and I think it will work for me. I'll probably take my hipster too, but we'll see. I got it back from the seamstress today and it looked so small now that I'm getting used to the mailbag!

(And I completely stole your idea for the binder-thingy!:lmao: I'm having fun working on it!)

I think they did pretty good on your ressies too. I'm thinking if Fulton's isn't something you want, then go somewhere else. You have lots to choose from... Find something yummy!

We're discussing and re-discussing that Fulton's ressie. "It's late...we'll be tired...but it looks so yummy...and the boat's name is Princess Lilly. My Lily will love that." We're going to keep it for now.

I'm here! Your PTR title lured me in.:goodvibes Gotta do a BUNCH around the house today. I'll be back later!

:yay: I'm glad you're here. I loved your dining report and now I'm loving your trippie!

Subbing since we'll be there at the same time! Looks like we'll be at MNSSHP and Epcot on the same days.

I went to your pretrippie, but it wouldn't let me subscribe or comment because it was completed? Your kids are adorable!!! Are you from Columbia? I grew up there (well, Lexington). Even though we're Clemson fans, I'm still glad to have you here. :rotfl: I'm from a mixed family, so I have a lot of relatives who are Carolina fans and most of my family still lives in the Columbia area.

I'm so excited about the MNSSHP on my birthday. Maybe we can meet up!

It's been so long since I did an installment that I guess the mods thought I was done and moved it to the completed board. I've made a request to move it back to the PTR board so I can do an update.

We live in Irmo and went to school at USC. Our entire family are Gamecock fans, but we still have Clemson friends!;)

I mentioned on the MNSSHP thread that you and I have some more things besides South Carolina ties in common--my DH is also an engineer and we'll be celebrating our 17th anniversary this August too.

That will be so fun to do MNSSHP on your birthday! Hope we run into each other!

We do have a lot in common!! Let me know when they move your pretrippie so I can subscribe for sure.

You have a great VB collection!! I never was into VB...my mother was a fan and I'd buy them for her but never considered them for myself. This year the girls in my Girl Scout troop started carrying them and then I saw so much of them on the DIS that I had to give it a shot. I got a hipster in Botanica to take to WDW. I love hands free! Then I bought a bucket tote in Peacock and I love it! Can't wait to get another! So many VB so little cash!! :lmao:

Hi Shannon!! I found your PTR from your post on my TR!! We seem to have a lot in common! We both live in TN--however you live in a MUCH prettier area! We are both teachers--I used to teach Kindergarten. We both love Vera Bradley--I took my Cupcake Pink hipster on our trip in May. Our daughters are the same age and both love AG dolls! Our hubbies are both mechanical engineers--my hubby's company makes diesel engines.

I think you will be very pleased having your BBB appt. so early in the day! You'll get to enter the park early and take pics with no crowds. Ally's BBB appt. was 8:00 a.m. and we were able to finish up there, get a photo session at the Exposition Hall, AND get some pics on Main Street before rope drop! And you'll be so happy that you booked CRT for the same day! Oh--and you will just LOVE the Poly! I cannot wait to go back!

Look forward to reading more!

Love my Veras....and I definitely love the hipster. I have a small pen & pencil bag in Peacock and I love that pattern. They sent it in the coolest shoebox -- it's bad that I can't even stand to get rid of their boxes.

We really do have a lot in common! Oh yes, we love our American Girl doll Alice. Funny story about her. About 2 weeks before Christmas, Lily suddenly pipes up "I can't wait until Alice gets here." I'm like, "Who's Alice?" "She's the AG doll Santa's going to bring me." (We'd been talking a LOT about that request.) So I say, "Oh, you've decided to name her Alice." *eye roll* "No, Mama, I didn't decide to name her Alice. It's just her name." {Even more strangely, my Cabbage patch doll's name was Alice when I was 8 years old...I have never told Lily that before! *cue twilight zone theme*}

She did get to pick Alice's middle name. It's Rose so she can "be a flower like me, Mama."

Those are the things I'm most excited about. Staying at the Poly is my dream!! (And we paid for a castle view. Eeeeee!) And the early AM BBB appt. and CRT... can't wait!

Okay, I know I promised a binder-thingy and I am working on it. (Lily's "helping"....)

But I had to share. I bought Lily's first Disney outfit! I love custom resell on Ebay! People wear these outfits one time and then resell them. It's awesome. This is what I got.

disney.jpg

I think she's going to wear it to our Chef Mickey's lunch on Saturday and I'm going to get a matching t-shirt for Morgan.

LOVE the custom!! It will be perfect CM!! And love the story about Lily naming her doll Alice--too cute!

Thanks! I'm watching a bunch more too. Yes, I still have no idea where Alice's name came from. :confused3

Cute outfit, don't you just love ebay?
YES, I can't believe that people pay so much for to wear those outfits only once!! Resell is the best!

*So, I get an email from my TA this morning. She's applied the Visa holder pin code to our ressie and saved us $700! Woo Hoo!!

**I finished working on my binder-thingy. I just have to start filling it up and take some pictures too.

***I talked to my BFF's mom about my birthday surprise for her. She's going to help me by making sure that BFF doesn't plan anything for those days! I've got our ressies at OKW and bought our park tickets. Now I'm trying to decide whether I want to get the DP adding to our reservation. I think I can do that because I'm using DVC points.

****Morgan's decided he wants to dress as Goofy for the MNSSHP. Any ideas for his costume?

That's great about the free dining code!! My travel agent sent me an e-mail about it this morning!! I sooo would love to use it--still haven't decided when we're going back.

Okay, WOW!!

I just got another email from my TA. The room discount that came out this morning? She applied it to our ressie and it saved us $1800 for both rooms!! I'm in complete shock. It took $940 off the grandmother room and $852 of our room. (I don't really get that, but okay...)

I'm still in complete shock! :cool1:

Great! What a good deal on the rooms!!! NEVER ask questions, just get it in writing!!!

You can do the Dining Plan with DVC -- had you asked that? You have to ask DVC to apply it for you... I don't know if you rented points, but that owner needs to make the call, I believe, at least that was the case when we rented points last Nov. If you are doing an RCI "exchange" you should be able to speak with DVC directly and they will take care of it. You don't PAY for it until you arrive...

Great post, nice outfit for your DD! Re the costume, does he like a particular character from Star Wars? What about Indiana Jones?

HOLY COW!!! That's an incredible savings!! YAY!! :cool1::dance3::cool1:

We're leaving for the beach tomorrow, but I finally got my pictures taken of my "binder-thingy" (terminology stolen from Happydog's pretrip report. Go check her out!) So I had to share those. Lily and I had fun. We went to Target and bought them out of Disney stickers, then came home and downloaded the Disney font and went to work. Here's the result:
disney001.jpg

You can't see it very well, but it says "Our Family Vacation at WDW" then the dates and the resorts where we're staying. We also used the stickers for the first letters and then typed out everybody's names. Lily helped me put everything in the "proper place", like she says.
disney002.jpg

The first thing is a pouch to hold little things. Right now it has our MNSSHP tickets and our Disney rewards card in it.
disney003.jpg

The next page is our plane tickets and itinerary. It has the carriage on it, for transportation of course.
disney004.jpg

blurry picture, sorry. Goofy is in charge of the information about our two nights at ASMusic. I'll get a map of the resort and such and put it in here too eventually.
disney005.jpg

Donald's got our Poly info and the MYW and dining information. We have a Poly map in here too.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v387/shannbb/disney006.jpg
Everybody's favorite mice have the info about MNSSHP.
disney007.jpg

Pluto has our ADR information.
disney008.jpg

Lily's favorite, the princesses, will have our touring plans and maps of the parks. Right now all that's in there is my free birthday registration.

I have two secret pages at the end. The first has the park tickets and hotel registration for my December trip with my BFF. The second is the information I've been gathering about DVC!! Those didn't get stickers.

So, there you go, there's my binder-thingy-- ready to be filled up with good stuff! :)
