12/10/05 ~ Anyone else cruising.....??

The regular edition is just easier to carry around with you. It has worked well for us the past two cruises.

actually I got the deluxe for our last cruise and it held everything and had places for me to write down our daily activities....I had also purchased the reg edition prior to that...

I am now about to order the deluxe refill...:)

they are all well used around here

Hello everyone!!! Hope that you all had a safe & Happy Fourth of July!!! We were out most of the weekend...spent Saturday at the pool, met John's family at the beach on Sunday, & they came up here to go to the park on the river & watch the fireworks. Is anyone else here thinking about doing the Golden Eagle at St. Maarten?

Am starting to price airline tix for the trip....coming back on the first weekend of Xmas break is difficult as ticket prices for both that Sat and Sun are still high. Hoping to see a price decrease in the next few weeks or the beginning of August. My round trip in Jan was about 200--very cheap. Not expecting prices to go below 250-75 because of the rise in fuel costs...we'll see.

That is one thing I am glad that we don't have to deal with. It is a long drive but we are in control. Hope a good deal comes along soon for everyone having to fly.

I have also started looking at airfares. They are high right now. I am hoping that they will go down in August. I would really like to do a non-stop, but I guess it will depend on how much higher that is.

Lisa~ the Golden Eagle sounds pretty cool. I am not sure if we will do an excursion on St. Martin, but that one is on my list if we do one. I really want to do the Doubloon sail and snorkle on St. Thomas. THat is first on my list. pirate:

:wave2: I have been looking at airfares through South Western. They have N/S flights to Orlando. By August you should be able to book your flight. Right now they are excepting bookings only until Oct. 20th.
We are not planning on any excursions through Disney. We are going to rent a car & drive around ST Marteens. :moped: We plan on some shopping & Going to the butterfly farm. At St Johns we will do some snorkling. Can't wait

Disney Di, have you rented a car in St Maarten before? Do you have a site to get a rate before we cruise so we can have one reserved already?

I would love for my son to meet someone early, this way maybe he will go into the kids club a little. We went on a 10 day cruise in November and he stuck with us the entire time. He was really good and we had fun but I think he would enjoy it! :goodvibes

Welcome!!! Go back to post #578 on page 39 for the information to be added to the website for this cruise group. Your son will get to see pictures of the other kids & learn something about them. You can also email them thru their parent's account with the info on the family bio pages. :)

Who is going to dress up for pirate night? I saw another thread about pirate attire and I am thinking it would be cool for all of us to dress up. I think I might be able to talk DH into it if there are other adults dressing up? If you are dressing up.... what kind of costume do you have? It's never too early to start thinking. pirate:

Lisa... you would be proud of me I have bought a couple of Christmas presents this week. I am starting earlier this year. :goodvibes

Donna, I have added the info that you gave to the site but need for you to email me so that I can send you the link to the website. You may also want to delete the info from the thread. It generally isn't a good idea to put such detailed information in a public forum.

Christi, someone posted about a pirate type shirt that they found at Kohl's yesterday. It is on sale for 16.99 with .99 shipping. I just asked DH if he wants to dress up & I got a shrug of the shoulders. LOL! I am planning to make DD & John's DD simple gathered matching skirts with ruffles. I would like to find some cute material with a black background. DD has a short sleeved white wrinkly shirt that ties at the scoop neck to wear with it. I would like to find a white shirt that laces up for DS and he can wear black pants with it. I hope to also find a shirt if not in white, then a red or purple that has loose sleeves that gather at the wrist. I will wear black pants with my short black boots. pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:

I forgot to add CONGRATS with the Christmas shopping! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: It wont be long before we will start that check list for wrapping, Christmas cards, etc. :)

I will probably get a bit dressed up again . . . even though last year hardly anyone was. I've still got my eye patch, and a pirate head scarf, along with my clip-on ear ring :) I'm going to see what I can do for a shirt this year too.

:wave2: I have never been to St Maartens before but I am traveling with Tinkerbellmom who has been & she rented a car from Budget rentals the rate was about $80.00 - $90.00 thy rented a Toyota Rave with a sunroof. There are several rental agencies right where you get off the ship at. This time we plan on using Hertz. She said she liked the guy at Hertz better but her cousin rented from budget. I'm sure you gould go to those sites to rent a car in advance. I might look into that myself. :moped: :moped:
bye :wave2:  :goodvibes Diana

OK, what do you guys think of this shirt? http://www.kohls.com/products/produ...OLDER<>folder_id=70532311&bmUID=1120957663297

They have some others but the white one has rock & roll guitars stitched on it in black...though I suppose that could be bleached out? They also have some open collars with thin strips but I like the laced up collar better. I guess that they could wear black jeans with it or black pants & DH has his black cowboy boots. LOL! They would do the job at least & he could two step to the music. :)

I am thinking that this is one of the better deals that we will find for a shirt like this. It is on sale for 16.99 now thru the 17th with .99 shipping. Hmmmm....do I just order one for DH. Will you really be getting this kind of thing for your DHs...and yourself of course, John? :)

I think that shirt would be good for a pirate shirt. I don't know if you would be able to bleach the guitars out of the other one enough so they wouldn't show. I like the black one. I don't know if my DH would wear it though. I know he wouldn't wear it any other time besides pirate night. I think I am going to look for him a shirt at Goodwill and go that route. He did say that he thought it would be fun to dress the part. pirate:
