12/10/05 ~ Anyone else cruising.....??

Lisa- I really like the kids page on the website. Tell William I will try to get the kids interviews on there this week sometime.

Vanessa- My DH got his first job at Albertson's when he was 16 and worked there all through college and also got his first pharmacy job there after school. Then he decided that he really hated retail pharmacy so he went to hospital pharmacy for a few years until he decided that he just really didn't like pharmacy work at all. Now, he is a software tester for a company that does pharmacy software.

Cristi, my DH is a pharmacist also. He has worked both hospital and retail. Now he works for as a relief for an agency. He likes that better because he can decide when and if he wants to work. No benefits, but the $$ is good and I have benefits.

Angie~ My DH worked briefly in retail, about 5 years in hospital and then for a company that serviced nursing homes and hospice. He got tired of the weekends and on call. The company he works for now does pharmacy software mostly so he is the clinical guy in addition to a tester. It works out well because there is no on call and very rare weekends (maybe once a year).

OK everyone! The website is up & running. Now that we have high speed internet I can receive the regular pictures and they will also load on the site for me so you don't need to modify them at all. They look clearer on the site too. :) This is for the DISers who are posting to this thread. Please send the following & I will add it to the site & send you the new link.

Family name:
Individual names & ages of the children cruising with you:
Celebration:
Stateroom:
Dining:
Hometown:
Pre Cruise: (date arriving in FL & where you will be staying Friday night)

A short note with where you work & what activities you like to do.

I already have this information from:

Please send a picture of your family to be included even if you did before since I had to modify them to load.

I have updated the information as of today.

Vanessa, John's family & mine were on the 12/4/04 Western last year. We stayed at WDW before the cruise & I believe that they stayed for a couple days after we returned.

There are no definite cruise meets set yet. I have said that I know that unless it is cold & windy like it was last year, we will be at the Mickey Pool around 2-3 at the minimum...possibly before now that we don't have to do the resie rush. :) I propose a DIS meet at the Mickey Pool at 2-2:30 since it looks like most of us will have kids wanting to do the same thing. It will let the kids meet up with each other & have a little fun while the adults can talk a bit. We are staying at the Radisson in PC with John's family on Friday night before the cruise & I know that we will be arriving some time during the late morning/early afternoon that day. If anyone else will be in PC Friday night I understand that there is a nice pool at the Radisson. If it isn't swimming weather we can meet up in the lobby or another area there.

Pirate night is another chance for us to meet up at the deck party. I will have the glo bracelets for that night. I also ordered some pirate tatoos for the kids...and the young at heart. ;)

I know that I would really like to do the behind the scenes tour at the theater. I never saw it in the navigators on our last cruise. If the kids will cooperate I would also like to sit in on the napkin or towel folding thing to take a break one afternoon.

Just stopping by to wish all you moms and grandmas a Happy Mother's Day. Not seeing my mom today since she is on an 11 day Hawaii cruise--4 days at sea then 7 days cruising the islands. Must be nice.

Hi everyone and Happy Mothers Day to all the moms here!

Okay, so I've been catching up on the reading here on the cruise line forums and reading that you can now book your Palo, Kids club and Spa ressies 90 days in advance for CC members is exciting news. So I went to the DCL.com to try and "retrieve my reservation" but I couldn't. I didn't book through DCL so does this mean I cannot make ressies 90 days early? How can I take advantage of this new thing?

Jenny

You should be able to do that. We also transferred to a TA & couldn't see our info before but now we can. Have you tried it on IE? Are you still with us? A couple pages back is the post for the new website. Send your info on over & I can add you on. You too Jordon!

We booked thru DVC using points and I was still able to look at our reservations. Cannot wait until the 90 day mark. :Pinkbounc

i cannot pull my reservations up on the dcl.com website. i am using internet explorer and the message comes up that they cannot pull it up. i spoke with an agent earlier (dcl agent) and she insisted that the only way i can view it was to book thru them. i can i argue with someone who works there and thinks they have the right answers? i booked through sam's club travel.

lisa, i'm emailing my info to you. can you share the website info when you get a chance. thanks.

Jenny

That is so weird that some can and some can't pull up their ressies. I also have a Dec 06 cruise thru Small World Vacations and I can pull it up too. I think I might call DCL back and ask the same question of another person there. :confused3

never mind, i got it! i was using the wrong confirmation number. oops. now I'm going to email lisa with my family info.

Jenny

:goodvibes :goodvibes :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Hey! That sounds like something I would do.
DCL has told people that this is just the testing phase. IOW...the DISers are trying it out. LOL! Some can get access & some can't.

Lisa, did you receive my email? If not, I'll resend. Show me how I can view the website that you created when you get a minute. :)

Rooms are now booked at OKW prior to cruise. I had to wait until 7 months out as that is not our home resort. We will be staying there 4 nights prior to cruise. :bounce: We have to get our annual dose of WDW when we can. :mickeybar Sure wish we lived closer. :sad2:

I hope to stay at the Poly before the cruise....I am pretty sure there will be FL resident rates by then, if I can snag one!!

We are going to try and stay with Lisa and family at OKW too - but AFTER the cruise - Sat and Sunday nights. Not our home resort either, so I have a week more wait before I can make the Reservations!

Lisa,

Thanks for the website...it's great. Sorry about the pics. I will try again sometime tonight.......

We are staying at Saratoga Springs before the cruise. My cousin tried for BCV or BWV, but had to be waitlisted. Her home resort is VWL.

My goal now is to lose about 10 lbs of fatness and gain back about 5-10 of muscle.....we'll see....Haven't had french fries in about 2 weeks....and weaning myself off of soda all together...Wish me luck.

OK, I have updated the site with all the info & pictures that I have received thru tonight. :) Here is who I have now.

Good luck with the diet Jordon! I am going to be on a high protein diet as soon as I get the rest of the info for the menus. I've never done a diet before so IDK how hard this is going to be.
