Thanks for posting the pics John! I saw DH, DS and myself in the crowd at sailaway party. I know where DD was standing, but couldn't see her for the crowd.

Hey Christi,

Just spent 15 minutes trying to find you guys in the picture - it was like playing "where's Waldo". The thing with digital cameras though is that it is amazing how you can blow up the originals - I can almost get you, your DH in the picture alone and it still looks good.

Going to try and post some more pictures if I can get a chance.

I am bummed because the dreaded Steelers beat the Colts today. Manning looked more like Eli than Peyton. Now who do I want to win in the AFC Championship game? The hated Steelers, or the Broncos that kept the Browns out of two Super Bowls? Since I now have some friends from the cruise in Colorado (I think) I will root for the Broncos. Anything will be better than seeing Cowher and his chin at the Super Bowl. Ohio State also lost to Michigan State in double OT - another bummer.

Okay, so I am thinking I REALLY want to go on another cruise. 2006 is out, but we do have a WDW trip planned in August. I went online yesterday and was looking at the Western Dec 15 2007. I said that I didn't want to take the kids out of school again since it was such a pain with all of the makeup work, but that would be the week right before they get out for Christmas. Right now on the school calendar it says that break starts on the 24th, but this year they did that and then added the Thursday and Friday before that. So, if they do that again they would only miss three days and if not they would miss 5 days . They usually don't have much in the way of homework or tests that week. I REALLY want to go again. It is depressing not having a cruise planned. That would get us home 3 days before Christmas, but if I have everything done before we leave that wouldn't be a problem.... well I might want to make sure we have dinner at someone else's house.......

Aw, Cristi, look at 12/1/07. There is a chance that we will be on that one...after I tell DH that I have a SPH reserved for us.

Okay, I did just look. It would be great to cruise with you guys again, but I am trying to limit the amount of time out of school for the kids and right now I think the other week would work better. Also, if we went that first week, the kids would probably both miss their choir concerts and they wouldn't like that.... well Rachel wouldn't, I don't know if Jacob would care so much......

LOL! I was looking at 12/8 actually, but then the SPH disappeared & there were lots on the 12/1 cruise. I just checked the 15th though & that one does look good for the number of days missed in school...though it would include their class parties. HMMM...

OK, so I looked. The 15th costs more but there are 2 SPH still available. I like the idea of having 2 full weeks before the holidays kick in to catch up after the cruise. We would go to WDW beforehand if we go at all that year.

I don't think the 15th was very much more...... I like the idea of the kids possibly only missing 3 days of school ( I probably won't know for sure when they get out for break until the fall of 2007). They don't have holiday parties at our school (only Halloween and Valentine's) so I wouldn' have to worry about that.... I don't think we would do the parks at all on this trip. Brad said that he would be "parked" out after our week at the parks this summer. I did really well this year with getting almost everything done before our trip for Christmas. If I knew that I didn't have any time when we got back I would be able to finish every thing before we left. And just think the house should be relatively clean for Christmas too since I like to clean it well before vacation!

It was the 400 that passports will cost up for the 10. I just remembered what I told my friend on PTO. LOL! I would be able to be back to help with the candy cane grams that we are going to start 12/06 to raise money for PTO. I come up with these ideas then bale to go on a cruise & get out of all the work.

It was crazy for me this past year because even though the house was ready we went to the parks for 2 days after the cruise & drove all day on Monday so the kids could be home for 1 1/2 days of school. I am homeroom mom for both of them so I had one party Tuesday & one on Wednesday, plus other PTO issues when I was at the school. It was just a little hectic. If I hadn't been ready for Christmas already...I would have really lost my mind!

I kind of forgot about the passports..... well we have awhile before we need to get those. We don't have any big trips planned for this year. We are going to WDW in August, but it is a family trip with my parents and brother and his family. My folks are picking up a lot of the trip so it shouldn't cost us too much.

We're still thinking about '07 and what we might be doing . . .

I almost want to see what happens with this cruise in '06 . . .

We had kind of decided after '06 no more cruises in December and before Christmas - just too crazy! With my job in retail, and school stuff going on, it becomes soooo hard to be gone so close to the holidays. Neither of us is great planners to get things done and prepare before we leave, so it makes us nuts once Christmas gets here.

Then Lisa told us they might be going on the 1st, and it is tempting us to throw all that out the window.

The company of good friends can always skew our judgement.

ROFL! Honestly, the pricing that time of year keeps us looking into it. Also, we really like the holiday decor on the ship. Summer is too hot. BTW, I told DH that I have the room held until 3/7 today and he didn't say NOT to put the deposit down. We'll see.

Lisa, Did you get your quote through Dreams? I did get a quote from them and then also looked at the Disney site. They are withing about $5 of each other, but Dreams has a $75 stateroom credit. They are holding our reservation til the 7th too. Brad said to go for it.... We aren't going to tell the kids right away though. I want to wait until at least after our August trip.. Brad thinks we should wait until a couple of months before we go, but I doubt that I will wait that long. He said, Oh great almost two years of being back on the DIS.... I don't think he realizes that I never really left....
