We too will be in WDW and VB in May. DD gets out of school early this year due to our school district opening a new HS in the fall, so we will be in WDW from May 19th through the Memorial Day weekend. We will be at OKW for 5 nights starting on the 19th, then over to VB to relax for four, then back to OKW for the final night before heading home.

Maybe you can play that UK lottery that I keep getting emails that I have won Kirsty!

It will be our first time at VB, even though we originally bought our DVC at VB.

When is memorial weekend?

We will be at Nickleodeon suites 23rd to 30th May and then Saratoga 1st June to 6th June. We are just looking at renting 65 points so that we can also stay 30th and 31st May. (I miscalculated how many points we had)

Memorial Day is the last Monday in May - May 29th. That's the day we will be leaving and coming home.

No, sadly we won't be going with you guys on this one. There is a chance we may look at cruises outside of Disney, (the horror!). RCL has a club with kids 6-8 which is what mine would be. My neighbor went on one in Dec. and said it was very kid friendly.

We definately can't afford every year and we have a WDW trip planned for Aug already anyway. I also don't think we will be taking the kids out of school for another one either. The homework when they get back makes it not worth it. Jacob just finished his today, now granted I didn't make him work on it every day of Christmas break, but still......

Linda... we need to get together sometime soon. Jacob had a great time playing with Jack and Brad and I had a great time playing with you guys too.

Cristi, DS asked last night if he could still email your DS. I'll let him at the computer over the weekend. We are putting in new carpet tomorrow!!!! Just in the family room though. This one is terrible.

The kids didn't get any work when we got back since they did everything ahead of time BUT I did get a letter that was also forwarded to a social worker because the kids missed 7 days. I guess that we can look forward to another letter next year. I'm not going to make the kids do a journal & all the extra work if it is going to be unexcused & reported anyway.

We didn't get the kids homework until the Monday before we left on Wed and we were really busy on Mon and TUes night. At least I didn't get the letter.....
Rachel did say that she doesn't want to miss that much school ever again. If we could just figure out a time to miss 2 or 3 days I wouldn't mind that so much. I kind of wish our school would switch to year round calendar. It sure would make cruising more affordable.

John, I had to go look up where the fires were... shows how much I pay attention . No, the fires are close to Walsenburg,which is in southern Colorado. We are in a suburb of Denver which is more centrally located. Thanks for thinking of us though. Wish we were going with you guys next year.

Oh John.... you are so funny. Okay, let's see..... you have given me a hard time, Lisa has and Angie has..... I think it is time for one of you guys to fall off. I will never live this one down.

Here is a story from the other night. We were leaving Chili's after dinner and Jacob just kept talking and not looking where he was going. I was trying to get his attention so he would look where he was going(we were in the parking lot) and I said something like, Jacob you have to look where you are going, you can't just walk and look the other way. He doesn't miss a beat and says" Yeah or you might fall off a pier" This will follow me forever....... Oh well... at least I have a sense of humor about it.
