12/10/05 ~ Anyone else cruising.....??

LOL! I am doing laundry. Just got out of chat. Trying to make plans to meet a CM while we are at WDW.

WHEW! I just put the 5th load in the washer for today! :( Two loads are folded & a basket is full of stuff that doesn't have to be folded yet. I wont dry the 4th load completely tonight...just a bit. I'll finish that one up in the morning after I pick up DS from his friend's house.

Angie, have a great time!! :sunny: To add to your sunglass comment, :smooth: when it's 74, get out the shorts and the BBQ :goodvibes

Morning! This time next week we will be getting packed up & leaving the room to get the luggage out of the car to catch the shuttle. :)

I have our SkipBo cards packed, ready for Cove Cafe!

Oh, 2550, Good Morning Jordan! You still asleep?

Good Morning/Afternoon everyone!

I have two quick question --

1) I understand we have to carry our Key to the World cards at all times? Is it possible to punch a hole in them and put them on a lanyard or something like that? Also, do the kids have to carry theirs?

2) Do they really enforce the 4 year old age requirement for the mickey slide? I have a 3 1/2 year old that is the size of an average 5 year old... she will be crushed if her cousin (turns 4 on 12/4) who is smaller than her gets to go and she doesn't.... Any insights on this would be helpful.

We have lanyards that have a plastic holder for the cards that we wear around our necks.

No stress here. Just the beach condo and I'm done! :rotfl2:

Angie -- Do you rent your condo? Which OR beach?... Hope you don't mind me asking... but always looking for new wonderful family spot on the west coast! :sunny:

Maggie. I was just joking about buying my mom a condo in St. Thomas for Christmas so we could move in with her! Sorry.

But we have stayed on the Oregon coast several times and it is beautiful! We have stayed in a rental beach house with 3 bedrooms, a tiny beach cottage and in hotels on the beach. We have enjoyed them all. The house was nice for a family get together and allowed us to make meals. The cottage with just DH and myself and had a small kitchen. I do enjoy the hotels because I then don't have to cook! :teeth: Actually DH works for a phamacy agency so he works all over the state. When he gets assignments on the coast on a Fri-Weekend I love to go with him and spend time there while he works. Florence, Oregon is my favorite town on the coast, but for beauty we like the Scenic Loop by Tillamook. Come on up, we'll go with you!

We live just a little over an hour from Lincoln City, OR (on the coast) and about 45 min from Portland. We are "on the way to the coast" according to the Portland folks we know. :moped:

Maggie, we are right in the middle of the Oregon wine country here also. There are over 100 wineries within a 20 mile radius of our house. So, lots to do here on vacation.

I just took a look at the planned meets on the Webpage. Are we going to decide whether we will do wine/cheese meet on 7 Aft or in a stateroom after we get on board and "assess the situation"? We opened some of our wine that we made last year when our family was here Thanksgiving and it was a real hit. Everyone wanted more of it rather than the stuff we had bought. We can bring a couple of bottles of that as well as a local Oregon wine.

Punching a hole in the card makes it invalid for charging. They do this for the kid's cards if you request it at GS. ;) The kids aren't asked how old they were if they were tall enough.
