12/10/05 ~ Anyone else cruising.....??

We were told we would have snow Wednesday, but got a reprieve and only had our usual rain. :umbrella: I was very glad because Oregonians (at least in the Portland area where it does not snow often) do NOT know how to drive in it and it take hours to get to or from work. :hourglass I just did not have time to deal with it this week. Weather reports look good now until we leave. :)

Angie, they don't know how to drive in KFalls, either - and we get it alot! We have had snow since Monday - about a foot. On Wed night, it rained all night then turned to snow on Thurs. I am kind of glad, because it was so warm last week that I felt like we didn't have anything to "escape" :duck:for our vacation. I think the bad snow drivers are transplanted from warm climates :rotfl:

IN A FEW HOURS OUT HERE - 6 DAYS LEFT!!!

I have most of it packed now. I still need the undies and toiletries too. I also haven't packed the shoes yet or jewelry (I have two parties to go to this weekend). I need to get some jeans together too. I am waiting on those to see what the weather forcast is in a few days. Brad says he will wear shorts even if it is in the 50s, but he doesn't do that here so I don't see it happening there.

Cristi, my DH said the same thing - he doesn't do that here, either - I think it does feel a little warmer there in Orlando at 50, though - maybe just in comparison to 20? :cold:

I have 2 football games to watch tomorrow - Texas/Colorado and USC/UGLY. That cuts into my packing, shopping, wrapping, cleaning time considerably. Sunday I will spend most of the day going to visit my dad (in a rehab facility  ) and then picking up my mom to bring her to stay at our house while we are gone. She lives 2 hours away so it is 4-5 hours without the visit to Dad. :hourglass We need to leave home Monday by 1pm to head to the airport, so I think tomorrow around football I will have to get the rest of the packing done. Haven't started DH's yet, but I need him here to let me know what he wants to take.

Agree. I was out today and it was around 50, raining and windy cold. Orlando at 50 really seems warmer. If the temp only gets into the 50's at night we will be fine with just a sweatshirt.

Of course once we leave port and head south it will be shorts for sure! :sunny:  :bounce: I checked the St. Thomas weather and it is in the 80's and :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

Ok, you all shamed me and I broke down and did Christmas shopping today. :rolleyes1 I got out my Disney catalog and my Coldwater Creek catalogs and ordered all the presents that need to be shipped. Disney is wrapping, attaching a card and mailing them for me - for a fee of course. Coldwater Creek is wrapping, attaching a card and shipping FOR FREE! :teeth: So now I just need to get a few things for the local kids/grandkids, oh and my Mom. She is the most difficult to buy for. I'll come up with something cool though. I will have a week to do that when we get home. :rotfl:

I can't even think about Christmas! I did our letter - need to mail them out tomorrow. We are doing our Christmas shopping on the trip - we always bring back Disney for everyone, anyway.

Watching everyone's stress build is making me feel stressed :bounce:

No stress here. Just the beach condo and I'm done! :rotfl2:

I did a 10 day for the port and IF it holds we should have 74 and partial sun for sailaway. :Pinkbounc

We went to the Ale House for dinner and then went to Home Depot and got our tree!!! :) Of course it is out by the garage right now! and darn it they were out of "Random twinkle lights" I am so wishing I bought more more more!!

Is anyone interested in name tags? I could make one up & post it on the site or email it out so that you can enter your own info & print them out.

Lisa, name tags would be fun since there are so many of us. I am, ahem, just on the otherside of senior and don't have the best mind for name recall. :flower:

I saw a notice that the boards will be down at midnight EST. That is just a little over an hour, right? Oh no? What will we do with our time? :confused3 Pack?? Clean?? Wrap?? ;)

goodness!! I am going to go....everyone is asleep, maybe I can get something accomplished!
