I was looking at that Sept return from Europe. $999 per person is a good deal for 14 nights in my happy place! Wonder what the airfair would be to Paris.

Angie I did a mock airfare for August of 09 on the same days of the week and BUF TO BCN and MCO TO BUF was $1400-1600, mostly with two stop over on the way to Europe. We use to have Zoom Airlines, went under in June, and it would have be about half that with them.

John, my thoughts are with you and your ladies along with the rest of your extended family.

Lisa, I could try, but Kristina is pretty right on target. Usually to get that time of year, it must be at your home resort, and you need to book at the 11 month window, AND book each day you need exactly AT that window (booking one day at a time). Rots of Ruck in October! I think I have a better chance of winning the lottery!

Dad is not doing well. I was pretty upset when I got home today, and told my sister she may want to come home if she wants to see him. I just see him slipping away.

John, please don't worry about that then. It sounds like the birthday thing doesn't start until 2009 anyway. I will get in touch with you in January for Christmas 2009 so Mike can celebrate his birthday 12/25 there. :)

I hope that your father is peaceful and not in any pain. :grouphug: I am so sorry that you are going through this right now. :grouphug: to you, Amy, Alex and Sophia.

We are driving to Newark to cut the airfare in half...around $2400 for the four of us to fly to Barcelona on British Airways. You could always get a Southwest Ding to and from there and then book the direct flight to save money. Of course, the rolling hotel could be worked into the equation so that you are visiting on the East Coast prior to your departure and you can park it while gone. :) We can make it work, Angie!!! This will be Bobby's first time in Europe too!

John - I am sorry. I am giving you and your family hugs....

Thank you everyone once again for your kind thoughts. It is a painful time for me.

You are all wonderful friends.

Sending love and prayers to all my Geek Peeps

too cute!!!!!

I had to take a second look. I thought Brack had posted a photo of the chubby MrsMork and DrHug!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Lisa, that sounds tempting. Thinking the rolling hotel could then take us up to New England for the fall after our return. Hmmmm.....thinking.

Hey....how about booking a couple of tenants for a trip down south? NC maybe? :rotfl:

Lisa,

Do you know if there is any information out (cost) on the 2010 10-day southern Caribbean cruise? Since it leaves on 12/29, I think I could swing it, and I like the ports (except for Nassau). I think it might work a lot better with school too . . . but I am wondering how expensive it might be with NY Eve . . . of course, with two years to save, we might be able to . . .

John... noone knows how much those will be. The 5 day Wonder cruises are as much as the 7 days...so who knows. Sorry.
