OH NO! I am SO not showing this photo. This is what she wants to do this summer during camp. I told her to save her money.

LOL! Carla, it was either lessons or be tortured with horse pictures, horse webkins, horse movies, horse books...... It wasn't even here idea...DH is the one who suggested it because of her greatly increased horsemania obsession since she started reading the Felicity books. Honestly...the look in her eyes when she found out she was having her first lesson after school and her interaction with Zeb were priceless. I think that this is really going to boost her selfesteem and confidence...which she really needs right now. This is the one thing that is only hers to do.

She looks beautiful in her first communion dress! I teach second grade CCD, so I get that thrill of "my" kids' first communion each May.

I can't believe it's been 7 years since Devon's 1st Commmunion.

She will make her confirmation at the end of October (right before Halloween)

Anyone see a problem that i promised if she kept honor roll all year she could dye her hair black with purple highlights?

Tonight is concert night!!!!! It is after 3 AM and the music teacher CAN'T SLEEP!!!!! AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!

DISNEY SHOW!!!!!

It is all very exciting....the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students have the option to join chorus. There are approx. 400 total children in the 3 grades. My chorus has 240 students. Those numbers make me very happy!!!!

I have wanted to do a show like this for almost 10 years....my dream is finally coming true. It is very bittersweet. When the show is over tonight...it is over! KWIM?

John - I sent out a personalized letter inviting each of the school board members to the show. They were all over our HS Band director because of falling numbers. Honestly, a lot of that was other circumstances. Anyway, I wanted them to see that the Music program at our school is alive and well. I hope to see several of them at the show.

My chorus students all give up one recess a rotation and one activity period a rotation. It is a decision they make....but it is so worth it!

I haven't been nearly as active on the DISBoard as I used to and it has taken me a very long time to make this last 1,000 posts. I miss the friendly banter of this thread. It's friends here that really got me excited about all things Disney. Thanks to you all for the wonderful memories. There can never be another DISGeek Group like this one.
