Oh my gosh - Did I also forget Brack's bday?? I need to scroll back and see if I did - oh man - He was the 26th! Brack - so sorry if I did. I am thinking about you and Annette still and happy belated if I did forget - if I didn't ...phew.

Angie - your birthday buddy is driving me NUTS. Granted you are the 10th and she is the 9th but who knew eight was such a big deal. I am ready to ship her off because her hyper self is driving me nutso. Of course we have all of this excess to make up since she was sick for a lot of February with that virus, strept etc so I am cutting her slack but man oh man she is wired. I just told her to turn the lights out its bed time and she said "But then I can't see!" Perfectly reasonable. Now she is humming camptown song. Here you can sing and go nuts with me as well put it on LOUD and HUMMMM Camptown lyrics and music Oh man now she is doing some experiment with sound - this is like a nightmare episode of Zoom. I am now asking sternly whether she ate chocolate today. Yup at lunch but nothing after the designated 6PM mark. Now we are singing scales lalalalalalalalalalala and speaking about something in the english accent ala Parent Trap (Lindsey Lohen when she was wholesome version).

Well, hello from the current blizzard capital of the country!

DGS has enlisted DrHug and I to chaparone school dance tonight. DGS chose to organize a dance with Techno music for his Senior Project. (he said he and his friends do not like to go to the dances because they always play Hip Hop ) Money earned will be donate to the band program. He has done a great job, got a very popular DJ from local radio station for only $200, got many donations from local businesses. Free printing for the tickets, etc. So, DrHug will take a few photos for DGSs presentation that he will have to put together after, I will sell cookies or water or man (woman) the auction table or whatever he needs me to do. He said we would just need to be prepared to listen to 3 hours of Techno music. I'm not sure what that means, but......

LOL! Hope that you survived! It has been AGES since I have heard techno music.

Everyone is OK (Thank God!) but DH and the kids were in a pretty bad car accident this morning. DH was taking the kids into the daycare this morning (DS did not have school), he got distracted and accidentally ran a red light and was t-boned on the side of his van. Thanks to seat belts and side air bags everyone is OK but it is surprising especially considering the damage the van sustained. DH appears to be the worst off but the doctors released him as long as I agreed to keep a close eye on him and wake him up every 4 hours for a while. I imagine that all of them will be much more sore in the morning.

In addition we have had some additional difficulties with Nathan and we have made the difficult decision to get some counseling for him. He is really struggling right now with issues we can't identify and we don't know how to best help him. We are just praying that maybe some professional guidance will allow us to help him in the way he needs us to help him.

Needless to say it has been a very difficult past few days so if you have any extra prayers or good thoughts we could certainly use them right now.

I hope everyone else is doing well. I miss all of you.

Becca...thank goodness everyone is alright! I hope that DH is feeling better by now.

There is nothing wrong with a counselor, Becca...having an unbiased outlet for W has been very good for him. I will keep you guys in my prayers for both reasons.

We're almost joking about it being a blessing and an interesting version of God working in mysterious ways ... "gee, Mike... did God think you needed a head-on collision to get a message? Guess the subtle hints weren't working???"

Mike saw his primary doc this morning, and that doc agreed with the hospital doc in thinking it looks like cancer just from how it looks from the scan. So off to the specialist on Monday.

Things do happen in mysterious ways at times. I hope that if it is cancer it has been caught early.

We are back and got total Techno immersion tonight! We liked the music (reminded us a bit of Disco with more beat, but along the same line) and the kids had a great time. There were 5 boys who did all the orgainzation for this whole gig and the school staff that was there was AMAZED at how well it went and how much fun the kids had. They also were AMAZED at the amount of money the boys raised for the band. Over $1700 after all their expenses, which were few because they got almost everything donated. The school staff were also amazed that they got so much donated stuff. Anyway they are stoked and cannot wait for Monday when they can share with their band teacher how much money he is getting for his program. They were hoping to make at least $600.

That is AMAZING, Angie!!! Your DGS should be very proud of his efforts.

Good morning! I'm waiting to take my DDIL to the airport to go home to Dallas. She was visiting her parents in the Richmond area.

Blessings and prayers to everyone. It sounds like a rough few days.

On that note ..... Annette has a surgical procedure on the 28th for some "female" problem. The extent of the surgery is undetermined until they actually go in and see what is there. Obviously she and I are concerned but we also know that it will work out.

Please give Annette a big hug for me. We will be thinking of her and looking for your update.

Well the hits here just keep on comin' for us. I had to take Nathan to urgent care this morning and it turns out he has the flu. We caught it early enough to put him on the Tamiflu so hopefully that will make it a little less miserable for him. He is soooo sick right now. I really hope he gets better soon and I really hope the rest of us don't get it next. The Dr. went ahead and gave me a prescription for DH as a preventative measure because of his asthma. I guess if DD or I start to feel sick we will just have to have them call us in a prescription.

It is time for the sun to start shining for you guys again.

Things have been so busy here. I really wonder how I had so much time to spend on the boards when we were planning or last cruise. I am going to rework my schedule again because I just can't keep up with this house leaving everything for the weekend and I don't like the idea of spending the entire time cleaning when the ewather has been so beautiful. The Bradford pear trees are blooming here. It as 82 the other day. TOTALLY NUTS I tell you...even for coastal NC! I have been trying to unpack those last boxes that obviously have stuff that we don't use often. I have been trying to get rid of what I can. We also cleaned out M's garage and I made sure that the stuff that I wanted to go to the dump was loaded in the back of the truck. It is all swept out now and looks great. My garage is just about cleaned out too. There are still a few boxes to go through in there and then I want to put up some shelves for the kid's outdoor play stuff to keep it organized.

Other than K being sick this weekend everyone here has been doing pretty well. I think that we have recovered from the time change. That really puts us through a loop.

Hopefully things are improving here. DS is feeling much better and the rest of us never came down with the flu. I started feeling a bit funny earlier in the week so the doctor went ahead and prescribed the Tamiflu to DD and myself as a precaution. DH and I both have felt a bit off all week so we wonder if we are just fighting the flu but the meds are helping us not get the flu, kwim?

We are hoping to have our van back at the end of this week or early next week which hopefully will make things a bit easier. Having only one car gets complicated when everyone is in 4 different parts of the city. We also found out that the daycare can take DS the week of Spring Break (week after next) so that is a good thing as well. We were afraid we would have to drive him down to Arkansas to my parents next weekend and then pick him up the following weekend. That would have been very exhausting.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. We had some of that freak nice weather earlier in the week as well. It was 77 and beautiful. Of course now we are back to high 40s/low 50s which is not terrible but to get a taste of the 70s and then go back down it really seems sad. I am so very ready for real spring weather.

Anywho I just wanted to say hey. The school birthday party was last week so the birthday stuff is done until May. Phew. Then its First Communion and more birthdays.

I am going into yet another busy work month so I'll try to come by and say hey but coming up for air becomes increasingly difficult from Feb - May.
